The parking lot was small but we went off hours so there was no issue for us. A good amount of tables/seats to eat there of you are eating their baked goods or happen to get some pizza too. Only one unisex restroom. We stopped into It's a Grind Coffee for their surprise Bag with Bakery items. My wife got 2× chocolate donuts, chocolate Croissant, & a blueberry muffin. My surprise Bag had 2x bagels, a maple old fashioned donut, and a blueberry muffin. My wife knew of the bakery that they source these items from and she likes them. Stopped in for a coffee on my way to pickup a friend. Was happy to find them open early. The woman working the register was friendly and efficient. The store was empty of other customers. There is lots of space with a few tables inside. In addition to coffee they do have pastries and other food items. I had a regular latte. $4.99. The flavor was good and the ratio of milk to espresso was perfect. I often get coffee from one of the big name coffee places. This was hands down better tasting than what I get elsewhere. Ordered an iced white mocha and a regular iced mocha and both were delicious. White mocha is more sweet and in your face, whereas the regular chocolate mocha is more subtle and the taste blends in with the chocolate notes of the espresso shots. My preference is the regular iced mocha if I had to choose. Service was excellent! I also saw a unhoused person come in asking for iced water, and the woman at the register got him a large iced water with a smile, which was refreshing to see. I like that they have food options too. The interior is ok, seems a little worn. Most people were there for take out, doesn't seem like a comfortable place to sit and work, but it might be different during the week. We all ordered the same drink: iced white mocha. There are two sizes and the medium or smaller size is huge. The prices are higher than your chain Starbucks or Peets, but it's a small business trying to make it. The drink was really good and not too sweet, like how I like my coffee. The customer service was decent. I'd make another visit if I was in the area again. The female barista could be a little more pleasant to her customers. I had one customer I front of me and the girl kept a scowl on her face the whole time and was just plain unpleasant. I tipped her anyways and not even an acknowledgment after thanking her. Today I decided to try their Bagel Hotdog and a chocolate donut. So how was it? The Cafe Latte was ok. It wasn't really strong, but it was hot. The Bagel Hotdog was a hotdog sealed inside a bagel. Probably freshly zapped in a microwave. The chocolate donut was very good. The chocolate coating was creamy and smooth. They got good donuts. They say Americans are the only people who eat and drive. Stopped in here hoping to just hang out having a coffee and bite, catching up my my latest New Yorker. Turned out to be the perfect place. It was a Sunday early afternoon and I was happy that the comfy chairs were available. I ordered a cappuccino and a breakfast burrito. Even though I ordered for here, all orders are served to go; not an issue at all, just an observation. The cappuccino was good. The espresso had a good kick to it. The breakfast burrito ($7.95) was excellent. It seemed fresh made. It's a great value for its size (easily two meals for me). I really liked that it had plenty of pico de gallo and green chilies in it. I got it without meat. One thing I found interesting is that one of the meat choices was turkey (not turkey sausage, turkey meat). I really liked the diversity of customers. I was able to park in the lot but it is pretty packed. The only reason for the 4- stars is that the staff wasn't friendly or welcoming. read more

Thanks to the "Shanghai Kid," Lisa and I found this place near the shopping plaza. He was right, not too much parking out front but we were lucky and it wasn't crowded. Pretty spacious inside the shop, so there's lots of area to be socially distant from other customers. Pleasantly surprised with food items available, so we got a little something for "Aunty Jojo" who was standing at the front door. I loved the matcha green tea latte with oat milk. Warm, tasty, had a hint of saltiness at the last sip :) Lisa thoroughly enjoyed her coconut crunch coffee too. Super reasonable as well. Normally love this place, but tonight the girl working decided to clean up 30 minutes before closing. I went out of my way to get here after work. She said she could make me a smoothie or tea but not any coffee because she specifically cleaned the expresso machine... like what girl, you know this is a coffee place right? If you want to be lazy and clean up before closing, maybe start with sweeping/organizing and wait to clean the one machine that you need to make coffee, at the actual end of your shift. If it was 5-10 min to closing I would have understood more but even then, you're supposed to work until the end of your shift. Cleaning afterward, while a part of the job, is supposed to happen post closing. If you can't handle that then get a job you are willing to do. It's worth pointing out though that the owner and whoever usually manages/works (I think he's a relative or close family friend) are always great. read more
