Overall i would rate approx 70% which is excellent for a nursing care facility. By husband was…read morethere for a respite visit, several of his items were missing & couldn't be found. A brand new black neck pillow & a pair of black hand cones. As well staff might consider taking a complete thorough assessment on new admissions. My husband is total care with Vascular Dementia, he won't drink on his own & of course he can't feed himself. Being given a sip of water throughout the day wasn't priority for staff. Feeding while food is warm wasnt a priority. The building was bright & clean & most of the staff was friendly. However, the patients must be the main focus & concern. He was found on the floor several times & it wasn't an urgent matter for the staff. Hospice care was notified. Afterwards my husband was welcomed back for another respite visit on another unit. My Mother-in-law resides at this "Nursing Home." This place needs to be investigated by state…read moreauthorities for the negligent practices that the managers of this facility operate. Residents in Assisted Living are treated like royalty, while residents in Memory Care are treated like steerage on the Titanic. Memory Care residents are not bathed on a regular basis and their laundry goes for five days at a time without being laundered. Soiled bedsheets go without being changed until a family member comes for a visit and takes care of changing the sheets. The food Memory Care patients get is always cold and of very poor quality. It seems they get whatever is left over from Assisted Living residents. Oakleigh has had an infinite number of staff and lower level management changes that it's more like Grand Central Station than a reputable nursing home. For what they charge residents per month, the care needs to improve drastically! I would think twice before placing your loved ones into this excuse for a nursing home!
