I don't think Yvonne ever spent any time training him, he was passed off to a working student with no supervision. I would have to literally beg for any updates on the progress of his training. After three months, he came home(North Carolina) and he is worse than when I sent him there. I now have found someone who is amazing and is helping him work through the problems that were created by sending him to Yvonne. Beware, only send your horse here if you live in close proximity to her training center, so that you can see what is happening to your horse.

Before committing I received assurance from both the owner and her daughter that it would be no problem to use the balance of the lessons when I returned this season. Upon my return I reached out by text and phone requesting to schedule my remaining lessons on my own horse and received no replys for nearly a week until I reached out to another sister. Finally texts from Kayla saying she can not give me lessons because her horse is booked and her mom won't give her permission to use her horses, (my request was to use my own horse, something they clearly offer) claims she gave me 4 lessons when she only gave me 2 and claims the lessons are $100 ea! Thankfully I have the text messages stating the lessons were 70$. I asked for the dates of the lessons to double check my own record. Kayla refuses to provide dates and sent a partial refund via Venmo. When I followed up with another request for dates of the actual lessons I am being charged for the unprofessional rude reply is "stop bothering me". BEWARE! Get everything in writing and don't trust anything your told.

I'm giving it 1 star because I did receive a refund, but in my opinion they should have offered a free ride since this was completely their fault. This complete lack of customer focus ruined my evening and will prevent me from contacting this business for services ever again!

It was sorta in the country with the road leading to the farm was a gravel/dirt road. If you have a truck have fun on the road but if you have a low trim car like me, go slow! The GPS brought us straight there. We walked to the stalls area and was greeted by Kirk by all the reviews you know he is a man of knowledge for animals! He helped us a lot with riding and have a fun time. The kittens and dogs on his farm are the sweetest they can be! People drop them off at his farm or he finds them abandoned and gives them a nice home to stay at. Before we left he gave us about a dozen eggs for free which we enjoyed a lot! Time stops here so don't expect everything to be as the time slot shows. It's a dirt road out to a house with a little old sign that barely appears to be the business. We pulled in and looked around for the owner and eventually found him preparing everything for our ride. It took some time standing around waiting for some of this family to arrive to go on the ride with us. In the mean time we let the goats and chickens and horses. All the horses look well taken care of and all the animals seem happy so that was a good sign. There's a definitely a moment of "what did I get us into" when we pulled up to the barn and saw the behind the scenes and waited around a bit for them to load everything up into the trailer. We followed them to the trailhead in our car and then saddled up and headed out. I've been on better trails before for the ride so it was a bit underwhelming, but the Florida foliage was unique and pretty. Our guide was training a new lead horse so we had a few jumpy moments, but he knows what he's doing and showed us his training skills. All our horses were very well behaved and felt safe to be on.
