I have been a customer of this salon for approximately 13 years. Yesterday I attended an appointment at 9am for my hair to be highlighted and my roots to be redone. This is the same process I have had for the last 13 years. Upon arrival I advised the staff that I had to be out of the salon by 11 am as I had fronds coming for lunch, which I had to prepare.
Rosa then applied what she described as a tint to my roots, which I found strange as previously highlights are applied first then the roots are touched up, but I thought she knows what she doing. After about 15 minutes my head started burning, I told Rosa and she said its ok if you don't itch it will get better. She then applied the highlights in a haphazard way, all the time with my head burning. I was left for 20 minutes before she came back to check on me when I told her its was unbearable and asked for it to be removed. As soon as my hair was washed the burning started to subside.
I was then lead to a chair and I was left with a junior to blow dry my hair. After 5 minutes of her faffing around with one section of hair, I told her to just dry it so I could get the hell out of there. At this point I was burnt on the head with the hairdryer!
I left without paying a penny. I was disgusted at Rosa's reaction to the burning on my head. One of her comments was along the lines of "it could be because you are stressed", which I am not, another reason could be that I had recently washed my hair?!?
I phoned the salon this morning and after asking to speak to the owner, Christine, who I heard in the background saying to take my number. Receptionist then told me she was unavailable, well guess what, so am I. read more
