It's located on the shores of Belleville lake. It features lakeside boardwalk, picnic pavilion and wonderful lake views. There is fishing pier and public docks to launch Canoes/kayaks. It's a very nice setting beside the lake with benches and picnic tables. It was nice relaxing to walk down to the fishing deck. There were only few people so we were able to walk around freely. Several food options nearby.

Also a PERFECT spot to watch the sunset, and even do some fishing. We searched out a nearby park to cap off our weekend visit to Belleville for the Thunder over Michigan Air Show, and this was a PERFECT spot, and walking distance to downtown, along with various bars/restaurants. This side of town seems to be older, more relaxed, while everything we had seen earlier in the weekend (off of the "main drag" Belleville Rd.) was more rushed, with plenty of chain restaurants that we wanted to avoid. The slow, relaxed walk along the water's edge of just a small portion of this wonderful town park did wonders to repair our (my) frazzled Air Show nerves, and to give us more of a real taste of this lovely area. Well kept-up, clean, nice walkways, benches and picnic tables, and a sunset that just can't be beat!! Hope to return again one day SOON!!!

They have a playground (with bathrooms in the back) and the trail goes down a paved steep decline that then leads into the boardwalk path way. It is not the most stroller friendly mainly because you are dodging a TON of swan and geese poop the whole time. And it can be bumpy on some parts. But the whole pathway is pretty unique with bridges connecting it (at least 5 bridges) and there is one lookout spot you can go to. We went on a beautiful sunny and windy day and loved it!! Saw so many birds (I have never seen so many swans together before) and nests!! Lots of people fish here too. What a gem! Definitely coming back!

The entrance we took, was right next to Turtle Cove, which was super convenient. There was plenty of parking and getting the tickets was a quick and easy process. It cost a little over $30 for the 4 of us. We were bummed the splash pad that is located inside TC was not working but still had a good time with the rest of the water park. There are two big slides (green- can use inflatable tube (single or double, blue- can't use a tube), a big lazy river, area for the little to swim, and a lot of seating. The pool and lazy river were not deep at all and there were plenty of lifeguards throughout the whole place. There are lockers after entering and wish I knew beforehand to bring change. The lockers I looked at required 2 quarters. If you're looking for a bit more than just a splash pad and a place where adults can also have fun in the water with your kiddos, this is a great place to come!

Appearently they don't know how to use their system but I showed the police our receipt and they appologized. I tried to go back to sleep and was awoken again @ 8am but this time by rocks hitting my camper. Giant industrial mowers are flying by children, pets, tents and vehicles, flinging rocks and waking everyone up. My cat was almost killed by some fool mowing at top speed. I saw the same thing happen with a family that had toddlers moments later. I paid $45 dollars to be harassed, woken up by mowers and chainsaws on my day off. This place is not worth it

North Hydro is a fairly recent addition to Ypsilanti Township's Ford Lake Park System. The township…read morehas many, many parks, and most are nice, but the ones along Ford Lake are all especially pretty. There's just something about the lakeside setting that makes them a small cut above the rest. The area around North Hydro has been a major local fishing spot for ages. You'd see people fishing off the bridge that gives Bridge Road its name any time the weather was remotely nice. Now, North Hydro gives fishermen an official place to fish, and they can follow up by having a cold soda pop and a snack at one of the picnic tables afterward. The park has walking and biking paths as well. There is an attendant who will ask for a pass from May through September if you drive your car into the lot, but township residents can get the passes for free. You can also park outside the park (if you can find good parking nearby) and walk in, no pass required.

Pittsfield township also often has fun activities in the park, like Halloween or St Patrick's Day themed walks/"scavenger hunts". Cute little touch.

I took time to walk along the path from the parking lot, past the soccer fields toward Turtle Pond. You'll need to walk about 0.5 miles to see the pond, but it's a lovely respite and seems dog-friendly. One downside is the proximity of I-94 which means that you'll hear the background noise of cars and trucks in the distance. It's not super-loud, but noticeable if you had expected a serene walk. Another downside is that the trail does not have clear signs or color stripes - but you can figure out the main route by using the pond as your guide. Would recommend folks staying in the hotels on the south side of Ann Arbor to give this park a try - it was really nice for jogging or a long walk.
