I'd definitely say I am not a regular bingo goer or even a massive bingo fan but I had a quality night In the Oasis last week. It was Saturday evening, we had no plans for the first time in ages but I was itching to get out of the house. For a laugh I suggested bingo. 'Ha ha ha no chance' came the retort. By 7pm I'd worked my womanly charms, collected his mammy for guidance and off we went. We were seated and ready for the big game, the place was heaving with quite a mixture of ages and there were a healthy handful of men. Anyway after lines, double lines and full houses we had absolutely no checks and I was starting to wonder what more the Oasis had to offer. After re-fueling on free tea and coffee we went downstairs to the casino where, to my absolute delight, they have computerized roulette! There were also free sandwiches, biscuits and at 12 midnight a large shipment of pizzas arrived from Dominoes - you gotta be fast to grab a slice though. Anyway, we left at about 1am after partaking in roulette, bingo and the slot machines - it was a great evenings craic and we were up £45.00 on the whole evening!! Not bad work! I love this place, they treat their customers well and the staff are friendly and fun. Now, if they had a bar they would make a real killing! read more

Bizarrely, quite a few of my friends worked here while I was at school so I would call in every so often and they would let me play bingo for free. This went on for quite some time until they got caught giving away free games and so the free games of bingo justifiably dried up. Despite this, I really enjoyed the old bingo, it was great craic and you can kind of see why it has went under a bit of a renaissance in recent years. If you play online, you might as well play in a bingo hall because its the same game and at least you get to socialise a bit. There is plenty of parking here but you're better off getting down early as it usually fills up and its not weird to see entire coach loads of people at the bingo. read more

Its good fun alright but prepare for an expensive evening and probably a losing one as you will be up against the "professionals" who not only buy the electronic genie boards for sixty quid but buy books to go along with it. Unless you are prepared to use a similar tactic you may find your winning nights are one in ten or worse! I'm afraid the recent revamp has not improved things as the slotties who used to be coralled out of the way are now free to walk up and down the aisles like normal people and consequently the walkways are now a little cramped. You can recognise them as they often play three machines at once- amazing! The main hall is fine though but they really need to let the ladies do the number calling- the boys sound like the voice of doom with a touch of the foghorns thown in. All they need to do to improve things (apart from reducing the genie prices) is move all those smokers out the back and out of sight. They insist on congregating at the entrance way so any benefits a non-smoker now has inside is lost on arrival as you have to walk through a haze of smoke to get in. Make sure you go and may your numbers come out- unless I'm there, of course!!! read more

go to oasis bingo in bangor a few times a week but have recently noticed people talking about certain people being able to max out on genie boards and then going back up and adding more books onto there package when they have already went over there limit and they also sit and mark double books lots of people are starting to complain about this going on but management dont seem to listen and are letting this sort of thing happen each day and evening it not fair on single parents and pensioners who maybe can only afford to mark one or two books and other people who are going over their limit are winning at least 6 or 7 times in a day or night so we as customers would like to ask management to please look into this matter asap before they start to lose more and more cutomers . read more
