After reading the reviews for this place, my husband and I were excited to try Oasis Grill out (we just moved into the area, and are looking for great places to eat). I'm not sure if we came on an off night, but this was super underwhelming compared to the reviews. The man at the counter was very polite to me, but had to ask me three times to repeat my order because him and the woman cooking were bickering with each other pretty vehemently. Not a big deal though, as long as the good was good, right? Well... I ordered a beef kebab sandwich, and my husband ordered a lamb kebab sandwich, with some falafel on the side to share. I asked that mine have nothing in it but meat and hummus, and the man wrote that down, but the lady didn't seem to bother with my request, and I got everything on it. It also took about 30 minutes to get our food, which seemed pretty odd considering there were about 6 people in the place, and we were the only people without our order. The sandwiches were both sparse on meat (about 4-5 smallish pieces total), and the woman also missed our falafel order. That took another 10 minutes, and when we got them they were oily and very over done. Needless to say, we left disappointed. We probably won't be returning. read more

Stumbled across this lil gem looking for a quick lunch spot with the family. The owners were very nice and spoke Arabic with us. The food was authentic and freshly made to order. A few guys hanging around and talking up a storm... felt like I was at some sort of Beirut cafe with "plans" being hatched. Good food, bad service. I always get the chicken kabab sandwich. Its delicious! Theres a garlic paste that they put on it....soooo good! I also ask them to add hummus. Makes it extra delicious! However, the owner is always kind of rude to me. Today when I went in he was rude, as usual, but there was a middle eastern man behind me and he received a "Hello, how are you doing?". I didn't even get so much as a hello....anyways that's not the worst part. I had called in an order for 3 of those sandwiches and when I got there they had only prepared one. I proceeded to tell him that it was supposed to be 3 and instead pf starting on those sandwiches right away (because I had been waiting) he went in the back to yell at what I presume is his wife. The Lamb Kabob was tasty but they definitely skimped out on the lamb meat. Beef was flavorful, a little dry but flavorful. Yogurt needed more dill and olive oil to be to my liking. I came here for lunch and wasn't sure what to expect. I hadn't eaten kebabs since I was in Greece 5 years ago. I ordered a chicken kebab plate. It took about 20 minutes for it be prepared. Although it had a great flavor, the chicken didn't taste like it had been grilled. The rice with peas and carrots were bland. The salad had a interesting vinaigrette. I tasted one of the pickles and was turned off. It was extremely sour. The hummus and the warm pita bread were the highlights of this meal. While my boyfriend and I were eating, the staff was speaking loudly, making it a unpleasant environment for us. I don't think I would come here again but I am glad I went out of my comfort zone. read more

We ordered: - lamb kabob plate - lamb schwarma - side of falafel - 1/2 chicken plate The plates come with a small salad, hummus dip, garlic spread, pickled turnip, rice and pita. I absolutely love Mediterranean food, and so I have it frequently and I was pleasantly surprised to find such a diamond in the rough as Oasis - it truly lives up to its name sake!! Their food is so perfect, even the pickles and salad are just delicious. The prices are right, and the atmosphere is clean and I honestly can't wait to go back...if I ever get married I will totally have them cater my wedding!! Its amazing!! I've only been here once when my regular place ran out of half chicken plates. The garlic sauce was very good, the rice had some peas and carrots in it (which I don't like) but it wasn't oily and the vegetables didn't taint the flavor of the rice much which was good for me. The half chicken had some flavor but mostly in the skin only; it did not penetrate to the meat. The restaurant itself is nothing special; it was clean and the server (owner?) was pleasant. It's definitely just a place to run in, pick up food and head out. Overall, I'll keep it as a backup but that's it for now! read more

Like one reviewer said we also have been driving pass this place and finally we got a chance to try this tasty Oasis. FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Clean! by looking at it you know this is a nice little hole in the wall place. Family owned which you know means home style cooking. FOOD: My wife and I have tried Zankou Chicken and lets just say this above any fast food Mediterranean. The owner Ziyad who is the cook told us he makes the Baklava himself which we were fortunate enough to try fresh from the oven. I've tried Baklava from other places and this is by far the BEST I've ever tried not to sweet just right. We tried the Chicken Kabob wrap which my wife Loved! and I had the Kefta plate with Hummus, a side of rice and a salad with mint vinaigrette which was Deelish! oh and we LOVED the FALAFEL a must try!! - Self Serve Fountain drinks - Easy to read menu with pictures - Can drinks of Soda and Yogurt - Garlic Paste was addicting YUMMMM! - Desert a must try! especially the Baklava! The owner was very friendly and in speaking with the next door barber who happen to be there eating at the same time told us a little about the owner. He has a PASSION for cooking and wouldn't want to be anywhere else than in his restaurant. I am a big believer in doing what you Love to do and when he told me that I knew this is a place worth coming back to. I don't know if this is a custom that I am not aware of, but I have been to the store two separate occasions and on each occasion I have walked into the restaurant and stood there for a very long time, not being greeted at all (actually not acknowledged at all) or even asked, "how many I help you" or anything. Came here with my sis and BB for Sunday lunch, BB's treat. It's a little hole in the wall place, very humble family run joint. Been to Zankou and Open Sesame, although I love Zankou this is a great alternative and has way better falafels. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with rice. Everything was so yummy including their garlic sauce. At first I thought it was lame that I only got one kabob because at Zankou you get two, but in the end I couldn't finish my meal and got to pack the rest to eat later at home. I will come back for sure if I'm ever in the area and craving mediterranean. Hopefully the owner will read this review and add JALAB to the drink options. :] read more

I think the food is pretty good and the portions, generous. The restaurant's lack of ambiance is what prevents me from giving it a higher rating. I ate in for lunch during the work week and it wasn't a very welcoming or comforatble place to dine. It's pretty utilitarian and could use an inside paint refresh to make the place look more inviting. It was also strange to have the members of the owner's family or friends (I'm guessing) talking so loudly and animatedly in one of the tables up front. I was the only one eating in the restaurant as a steady stream of people continued to come in to pick up their phone orders. If you were just picking up an order to go, I guess the look of the place doesn't matter. The lady who took my order was very nice and efficient and it didn't take too long to get my order at the counter. I had the beef keftah kabob which was a little on the dry side and not seasoned as much as I had hoped. I should have tried the chicken kabob, in hindsight. A lot of Yelpers seem to like this, instead. What I thought were really delicious were the perfectly dressed salad, hummus, garlic sauce and rice. I love this place like I can't even explain. My best friend Rula put me onto Oasis Grill one hungry, hungry, sunny day. I have very little experience with Mediterranean food, so mostly when Rula and I hit up places like this, I kinda just let her order for me. I trust her judgement, and as always, I was not disappointed. First off, parking is extremely easy to find, even if the restaurant itself isn't. Oasis Grill sits on the far end of a small strip, and shares it's parking lot with several small businesses and a Big Lots. Small inside (though not so small that you're all up in your neighbor's plate), and clean. The first time I visited this place (and I've been three times) I had the Beef Sharawma sandwich. Jeebuz, this sandwich was hella good! Sometimes I'm not the biggest fan of beef, but these tasty, tender shaved pieces had me all wrapped up and happy. Flavorful, served inside warm pita bread with lettuce, tomato, hummus, pickled beets (didn't know vegetables could get so neon..but they're good!), and this very yummy garlic sauce. Let's focus on this garlic sauce for a second - bomb, but don't get too close to anyone for awhile afterwards as you'll only insult them. I mean, the sauce is delicious, but you might lose some respect over the strength of the garlic. Bewaaaare. The next time we went, I ordered the roasted chicken. Talk about amazing. The meat was surprisingly tender, and the skin was delicious and crisp. They serve the chicken with more neon pink pickled beets and a healthy side of hummus (a favorite of mine!). I dream about how amazing this chicken is - all else disappoints in comparison, I don't care how good you claim your mother's chicken to be. It's also served with warm pita bread and garlic sauce, so we added a side of tabbouleh (an amazingly fresh salad of bulgur, parsley, mint, tomato, scallions, herbs, and lemon) and enjoyed eating with our hands. Still, when we didn't feel like dealing with the half chicken that was served, we went for the Chicken Shawarma. The chicken was just as yummy, and it was a lot more convenient to eat! I've gotten a tabbouleh and a shish tawouk sandwich both times (on the menu it's called chicken kebab sandwich) and it's delicious (if you love garlic, you should try it!). Ordered falafels, chicken plate and shawarma plate. It was horrible! The salad was made with iceberg lettuce instead of the traditional romaine lettuce most legit Mediterranean places use. The rice was also low quality regular grain rice instead basmati rice. The hummus was good but most likely not authentic seeing as how the other ingredients were low quality. The falafels were ok but greasy. The beef shawarma was the worst quality meat ive ever had. It was bland, dry and had the texture of a low quality carne asada. Save your money and time and go to Georgies they are way more authentic. read more
