Paul indicated a 2-week lead time... but as Hurricane Sandy approached Paul contacted us on Saturday morning to let us know they had accelerated production and an installer would be on-site that day. From our initial contact with Steve through frequent contact with the project foreman and wonderful installers, the project couldn't have gone better. The local showroom displays all the products to view, and the custom installation looks great. The shutters also seem to be excellent quality. Before the order was sent to the factory, the installers came out to review it to make sure of any special challenges or material that would be required. After installation, which they worked around our schedules, they were careful to explain proper use and maintenance as well. It is obvious that this company takes great pride in their business, and realize that customer service and recommendations mean everything. We are very pleased, and look forward to the shutter protection during storm season.

We got to see exactly what the room would look like with a visual rendering, and what would need to be done to our foundation to be able to withstand the room being installed. Yes, it was pricey, but after seeing what the alternatives in my area are/were, we decided to pull the trigger. Installation was completed well within the estimated lead time they gave us despite our town being notorious for the amount of time it takes to issue building permits. When it was delivered I was taken aback by its color - it was grey (instead of the dark rich black humus that characterizes compost). It was also sandy, gritty, and had many small pebbles. So I sent in a sample to the UMASS Soil and Plant Tissue Testing Laboratory. The results are as follows: *ph of 6.0 *on the lower end of Phosphorous, Potassium, and below the optimal range for Calcium *a little bit too much Copper, and way to much iron *4.2% Soil Organic Matter *Soil textural analysis: 70.7% sand, 20.8% silt, 8.5% clay The purpose of compost in farming is to add nutrients to the soil. The "compost" they sold me has even less nutrients than the barren top soil on my property. Also, a soil science expert at the lab assured me that there was no way that this could be compost. Compost, she says, "at a minimum has at least at 20% soil organic matter content, and yours was only 4%." If I had trusted Reis's assurances and spread their compost on my field, it could have completely destroyed my first year of farming. I asked for my money back. I showed them the results. They refused everything. They refused to get their compost tested. They refused to reimburse me for the soil test I paid for. They refused to give me my money back. I just lost over a grand, and they don't have a clue about what they are doing.
