Oberkasseler Brücke is a cable-stayed bridge over the Rhine in Düsseldorf, one of seven in the area. It has a single 103 meter tall vertical pylon with four harp-shaped cables arranged almost symetrically. In addition to the highway, U-Bahn U74, U75 and U76 transit the bridge between Luegplatz and Tonhalle/Ehrenhof.
This is the oldest Rhine bridge in Düsseldorf for private transport. The first bridge was built between 1896 and 1898. It was later widened and reinforced in 1925/1926 only to be destroyed by the Wehrmacht on March 3, 1945 to delay the advance of Allied forces across the Rhine. This new bridge opened in 1973 and then in 1976, it was MOVED including the pylon and the superstructure, to this new location, a distance of 47.5 meters downstream. I'll bet that was beyond spectacular to watch.
Today, the bridge carries two light rail tracks, four traffic lanes, two cycle lanes and two pedestrian sidewalks (half in each direction).
