Posted on Google, posting here too so there is more awareness about the lack of communication at this practice. 2 stars only because I have never had a bad experience with this office in the 12ish years I've been a patient until now. I had an iud for 6 years, got it taken out. Was on nothing, but my dr said she would send in a prescription for birth control pills if I changed my mind (this was my idea too). Went a few months and then finally filled the birth control prescription. My dr said to let them know if I started it so I could have a month follow up to check my blood pressure and make sure I'm still healthy. I called, left a voicemail. Didn't hear anything back. During my iud consult appt, I told my doctor that I started birth control about 2 months before and she looked confused that I didn't see her sooner due to the vitals needing to be taken. I felt like I was the problem, and maybe I was-I should've called again to make that appointment. But that's not the issue. I ended up getting an iud, the same one I had for 6 years, in March of this year. Dr Kalla inserted it, he was truly amazing. I've never had a male gyn and he made me feel comfortable. So thank you for that kind sir! I scheduled my follow up appointment for the first week of May at 4pm. I work an HOUR away from the office. I left at 3pm and while driving I realized I didn't get the usual call to verify I am attending my appointment. So I pulled over about 20 minutes into my drive to check the MyChart app and make sure I had the correct date. The appointment isn't in there! Confused as all heck, I call the office. I call a couple of times and it made the busy sound. Then, I called a 3rd time, and I got the after hours voicemail. At 3:20pm??? So I check their hours on their website, they were *supposed* to be open until 4:30pm. So why was I getting the after hours line over an hour from when they were supposed to close? Interesting. I called a 4th time and decided to stay on the line to be connected to their on call doctor/nurse. I waited a good 10 minutes and got no answer, so I hung up again. I have an annual scheduled in August and I'm probably just going to cancel it and find another office closer to me and my job...if I can even get ahold of someone, that is. It really sucks that I feel forced to leave an office that has made me feel comfortable and accepted over the past 12 years, but all good things must come to an end I guess. read more

I'm putting this every place I can. avoid this place. I know having state insurance sucks but find somewhere else that takes it, I should have. After weeks of leg swelling, three days of severe shortness of breath, and one morning of chest pain, I brought myself to the hospital. Backus hospital. You're asking yourself, why did I wait so long, with another life inside of me. I didn't. I asked my doctor why my legs were so swollen, but she was a different doctor than I'd seen. In fact, at obgyn services, I never saw the same doctor twice until I gave birth. Since the lady didn't know me at all, she said "they don't look swollen to me" and I didn't advocate for myself because she was so quick to dismiss me. When my blood pressure went from its normal 90/60 to 120/70, they said it wasn't high. I said it was high for me and they said "I guess a little" and still I didn't press the issue. I called them with my shortness of breath and they said take a Benadryl and that it was either allergies or the wildfires across the country. I had to sleep sitting up. I went to the hospital July 28th 2021 when chest pain woke me up. I felt dumb. I felt like I was being dramatic. I took a bath before I went to see how I felt after. I went only because it wasn't only my life potentially in jeopardy. I got there and my bp was something like 173/99. My pulse was in the 40s. I had severe preeclampsia and heart failure. They induced me that day. The magnesium made me feel better but after the baby was born they took me off of it. My shortness of breath returned. I told a nurse and she said "oh do you have asthma?" .. as though the past however many days of heart failure/preeclampsia hadn't even happened. They gave me a breathing treatment and that's when I lost my mind. I freaked out. I could have made the right diagnosis and I have no degree. They said my bp of 140/80 was high but not so high they would treat it. They gave me a diuretic and discharged me. Guess who was back the very next day, then transferred to Hartford, still in heart failure???? Guess who still has a low ejection fraction? This guy. Also the ptsd from the entire situation has been debilitating. Also, I met a girl in my neighborhood who had a baby the same week with the same dismissive doctor. She had severe preeclampsia too. My point is do better. People should have ONE doctor. How the hell is a new person supposed to spot a difference in a person like excessive weight gain??? Don't dismiss people's concerns. You went to medical school for however long but I've lived in this body my whole life. A mother with high blood pressure should be a concern to you. I know you need the room and I have state insurance but discharging someone in heart failure does do harm... Also I felt like only the nurses and Dr. Briggs cared about my sexual assault history. Be sensitive to that. Or you ARE DOING HARM. I'm pretty sure you promised not to. Do some more research into preeclampsia and peri partum cardiomyopathy for the good of your patients. If I could leave less than a star, I would...awful staff, not accommodating, rude on the phone, after years of going here, would not make an appt after 3:30 even though a new job prevented me from getting there before that time, and I asked for a one-time exception. But then when I get there its ok for them to make me wait however long they feel like it. Awful. read more

I really like it here. Needed an appointment asap and got called to be back same day. Calm Dr put me at ease.

Very rude nurses and doctors. Do not recommend going here. Too much work to get in and when you finally do, the doctor doesn't let you get what you want done. read more

I have been a patient since 1995 and always loved to office. They delivered my daughter in 2007. Today I called to get an appointment for an issue I have had in the past. I was told by the lady answering the phone that she would not make the appointment I had to call my primary dr instead. I'm beyond angry right now. I'll just go to walk in clinic from now on. read more

I would leave one star if I could. I've been trying for a week to make an appointment I've left three voice messages. No call back. Today I called at 425 (office Clooney's at 430) and I got the answering service. I hope tomorrow I get an actual human to talk to and it better be an office manager. Worst service ever. read more

Horrible experience. My first visit I came a few minutes early, signed in, and was asked to wait in my car until they called me (it was 93 degrees in the parking lot and no shade anywhere). After a half hour I called the receptionist and she told me it would be another 20 minutes. I went in to find out what was going on and was then told I would have to wait another hour! I took vacation time from work to make this appointment and now they expected me to wait an hour and a half in the hot parking lot! They seemed surprised I had a problem with this and could not explain why they had not informed me when I checked in 30 minutes prior that it would be a long wait. They also had no explanation other then she was very busy as to why she was an hour and a half behind schedule at 2:30 in the afternoon. They hadn't even bothered to tell me while I was sitting in my car that there was a delay. I had to call them to find out what was going on. Poor customer service to the extreme. read more

This place is the absolute worst. They send you a bill for a visit a year and a half later when you no longer have that insurance and you've been seen by that office recently and never once has it been addressed that there was a balance on the account. Called the billing department to figure this out and the lady was not only rude but ignorant.. not to mention sending you a bill for a visit over a year and half ago. No concern for any of their patients. Beyond rude! They need new people in their billing department that actually care about addressing these issues. read more

Most, but not all, of the doctors in this practice are good. Thats IF you can get past the rude and unprofessional staff (receptionists, nurses) Wasnt worth the hassle and stress it takes to actually make it in front of the doctor. Don't recommend this practice AT ALL! read more

I've been coming to OBGYN Service PC every year since since '08. I have never had a problem with the office staff or nurses/assistants. I've had biopsies, paps, bc counseling, and everyone has been great. I've been seen by Drs Welch and Belcher, APRN Melissa and CNM Tyann. They have also overseen the births of many of the children of my friends and family members. I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this place or the people working there. read more

The APRN I saw was fine but when I had an issue in between visits, dealing with staff was horrible. The people at the desk were very nice but the nurse who called me back identified herself as only "OB GYN Services" with no name or title so I thought I was talking to someone at the front desk. I discovered the next day that I had talked to a nurse. She was condescending and told me that I had just been seen. She never bothered to ask me if I was having any new problems and she hastened to inform me that I was not going to be getting any assistance until my next follow up appointment (a month away.) I got off the phone feeling as though I'd just gotten my hand slapped for wasting her time. Unbelievably unprofessional, I'm not surprised she didn't give her name. I won't be wasting their time any more...I cancelled my follow up appointment and found a new provider. read more

Not happy with this practice, they charged for a test when i was specifically told it will not cost anything extra when i asked. Of course when i called and told them this they blew me off.. Staff has no idea whats going on.. I will not go back there. I forgot to add i waited an hour to be seen! read more
