I took a Lexus RX350 here for an oil change and tire rotation. It was $70 out the door (including synthetic oil). Waise, the owner, was very knowledgeable and courteous and even offered me a water or soda. You do need to make an appointment, but I was able to get one the day after calling and they performed the service while I waited (45 minutes). I typically keep my opinions to myself since everything changes anyways. In the back of my mind, there was a little greedy selfishness at play. I did not want to let the cat out of the bag and ruin everything. This dynamic duo running the show along with the help of a few mexicans know how to kick out the jams. I do not know how it happened, but I feel like I am part of their family. They always take care of me and my vehicle's heart. It is just amazing. Too many great experiences to describe. I met Waise about ten years ago when my Tacoma did not pass smog and was impressed with the level of service then and so I made sure to keep his card. Last week my son's Solara had a CEL and so I dusted off the card and went to see Waise. I already knew the issue was the knock sensors and new what it would take to replace them and it was more difficult than what I wanted to do. Waise's labor seemed right on and the Toyota parts were priced just like I could have gotten them myself with a slight bump which is to be expected. I could have gotten the sensors cheaper but would have had to have waited for them and Waise would have installed them but with no guarantee which in the end I figured wasn't worth it. All parts were installed quickly and he gave me the old ones back and knocked off some of the initial estimated labor. Thanks Waise!! What a great shop! And a awesome owner! I took my hybrid here based on the raving Yelp reviews (only 5 stars so far) and wasn't disappointed. I initially got quoted $40 for an oil change using regular oil (2x the price if synthetic oil) - mind you, I've got a hybrid that takes unusual oil quality, so this was a reasonable price. When I showed up, the owner said he could only find synthetic oil. Instead of charging me what he should have, he kept his word and only charged me $40! I insisted on paying him more, but he wouldn't let me; said he didn't want to go against his word. What honesty. And a great guy as well. His garage's a bit hard to find, but with this type of honesty, I'm going back for more. Waize, the owner, is a young guy that's only been in business for less than a year. I think I've found my new mechanic. Waize also said he's fairly full service shop. So if you're looking for a mechanic, give OC Auto Care a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

I just got my smog done here and they were fantastic! A bit hard to find but worth the look (it is behind America's Tires). Seeing all the cars in a packed area lined with other mechanic shops I was wondering if I could even park/get out of the place. I maneuvered through and found the one parking spot which happened to be in front of OC Auto Care. Experience: I was greeted by Waise who had a huge smile on his face and welcomed me. He was super friendly and presented himself nicely. He asked where I heard about OC Auto Care and I stated Yelp and Bam $10 off the $48 price tag! He offered me a bottle of water and a fantastic shortbread cookie and within about 15-20 minutes he was done. Short and sweet. Overall out the door $38 and a wonderful experience. read more

Found them via a groupon for a smog check. They had me in and out in no time, and unlike most places, they didnt tack on an extra charge for the DMV certificate (which I was expecting them to). I have since taken my wifes big SUV for an oil change and they charged $30 less than everywhere else. I am taking in my car to get a major service done after finding out they will charge half of what the dealers would cost, and he is doing more work with genuine parts. Waise and his guys are always very friendly, courteous, and accommodating to any needs their customers have. They are very clean, efficient, and do very high quality work. New to the area, I called around to a few different mechanics for quotes on a 60,000 mile service on my Lexus IS 250 (one of the more major ones). A couple other mechanics (with 5-star reviews) tried to tell me to replace all my transmission fluid every 30,000 miles, but a quick Google search told me that was unnecessary as long as the fluids look good. Other mechanics also tried to tell me that replacing my spark plugs was necessary at this stage, or that it would cost so much in labor to check on them that I might as well replace them. They also gave me wide ranges for prices instead of a straightforward quote. The ONLY place that gave me clear prices and zero BS suggestions was OC Auto Care, so I decided to give them a try. Waise at the front desk was very straightforward with answering my questions and giving me specific prices on whatever might need to be done. Although the Lexus manual called for changing brake fluid and air filters at this service, he checked and determined the brake fluid looked fine and that the air filters could wait until next time. He also checked my spark plugs (without charging me labor) and said they were fine and didn't need replacing yet. I ended up with just a simple oil change because that's all my car needed. I was extremely impressed with Waise's professionalism and honesty. I'm so pleased to have found OC Auto Care, and I have no intention of ever taking my car anywhere else. Thanks guys! read more

Such an incredibly trustworthy mechanic. We always go here for our smog checks, any repairs that are suitable for this shop, or oil changes for my dads car (I have a service plan through ford for my car but I'll be coming here when that ends). I believe it's a father/son owned shop and with other mechanics as well. They are no BS, totally honest, no up-sell, salt of the earth people and I will absolutely continue to go here for all of our needs. I cannot sing their praises enough. Weiss and his dad are fair and honest businessmen. I was given a quote from my previous mechanic in Foothill Ranch for over 2K to do an oil pump repair. I had been going there for years. I had reason to question that estimate since they had the Mustang a few weeks ago to fix a leak. They replaced the rack and pinion steering and power steering pump. That didn't fix what was leaking. I am now wondering if it was necessary. I spent over a 1K then and was told to replace the oil pump and the quote was about $800 until I brought the Mustang in. Then, the quote was changed to over 2K. When I questioned it, they came down to $1500. Needless to say I walked out of there and called OC Auto Care because a friend had recommended them. Weiss evaluated the Mustang and I didn't need to have the oil pump replaced because there was nothing wrong with it! I needed to replace a radiator and gasket seal. Weiss did that. It fixed the leak and cost less than $500. Needless to say I am their loyal customer and will tell all my family and friends about their quality, honesty and service. Thank you guys read more

They are great, but Beware...it's hard to find!! Located BEHIND America's Tire on Aspan St. Got to the area 2min early for my appt but couldn't find the place. Finally found it after rechecking my GPS and driving around for 5min. It's tucked behind America's Tire and directly across the alley from Midas. I sure wish they had mentioned that when I called and made my appointment. Weiss was very helpful and completed my smog within 15 minutes. Love that! I have my 2005 Honda recently serviced by them and I had my breaks checked and had a smog test done to my car and he showed me and explained to me I needed a new brake drums and I need a resurfacing of the rotors. Brought my car in for a simple 50K mile Oil and tranny fluid change. By the time I picked it up and drove home, found a new shifting problem. Called them when I got home, they drove out to my house, picked up the car, took it back to the shop and spent two days and several outside tranny mechs to confirm that it was just a timly unfortunate coincidence, my bad. I was due to have my oil changed but because of schedule and whatnot hadn't gotten around to it yet. Then as I was leaving work late Friday night, I noticed when I left that there was a puddle of liquid right underneath where my car was parked all day. Not knowing very much about cars, I drove home but felt the engine kind of stall when I was pressing the gas. Having a lot to do during the weekend, I was worried my car was not going to last. I got up early on Saturday morning and checked yelp and noticed that OC Autocare had really good reviews. I called (thinking they were closed at 8:30 am) and was going to leave a voicemail when someone picked up. I explained my situation and he told me to bring it in before 9 am when they started appointments and they would take a look at it. I brought my car in and they took me right away, took a look at my car and were able to diagnose the problem. They said they would fix it and I would be out of there in under 30 minutes-which I was.
