I took my SUV to Gary for tint. He damaged my car and refused to be accountable for the repairs. After multiple attempts to reticfy the problem he said his insurance company would handle it. Of course, I never heard anything from him and stopped in again to address the situation. He said the insurance company requested the video footage in which I said why would they want the evidence of you damaging my car and seeing that you are smoking pot? The shop smelled of Cannabis and he again refused to pay for the damges. The whole ordeal cost $935.00 to repair and have it tinted the right way. I received excellent service by Gary (as well as with his father, whom I spoke with when I needed to re/schedule the appointment over the phone). I paid about $130 to tint all side/back windows, which includes a lifetime warrany on the tint. All was completed within an hour. I believe he also offers other services, such as car audio installations. I would not hesitate to recommend Gary to anyone looking for a great tint job at a more than reasonable price. read more

Gary damaged my vehicle and refused to repair it. I attempted multiple times to compromise and he lied throughout the entire process. On one visit to discuss the needed repairs he suggested that he reported the damages to his insurance company and they requested video from his shop which I found odd due to the videos proving the damage happen in the first place. When I pointed that out to Gary, along with the footage showing cannabis use, he became irate and told me to leave. I have never received a phone call from Gary or the "insurance company" since. This whole experience cost me $981.83. I have never seen business practices this terrible in Ocala so needless to say I will not send or recommend anyone to patronize Ocala Custom Tint. read more

Warning ...........Gary WONT tell you but the "life time warranty" is only for certain tints, not all tint. I purchased tints from this place five years ago. The back window tint went bad as time went on. I went back for my "life time warranty" and it was not honored. First he said I needed my paper receipt, which I didn't have. I knew the date of purchase so Gary looked into his receipts and found it. Then he said, "oh, I don't replace back windows that are 5% tints",.......which, by the way, he recommended. I asked him if he had that disclaimer posted anywhere in the shop or on the receipt or does he advise his customers of that information. I told him that was a shady move. He stated everyone knows that about 5% tint and what is he suppose to do, put a sign up "tint for dummies?" I told him he needed to watch how he spoke to me and I was going to report him to the BBB but he said he didn't care because he doesn't register with those "F-ing" people. He then came unglued, his professionalism, or lack there of, went out the window and we exchanged words. I didn't expect him to then throw the F bomb at me, this is suppose to be a professional place, right? so... I had to warn harm to use better words before I lost my cool. I don't like to threaten people but I couldn't allow this guy to disrespect me like this, especially that I had my elderly father with me. I walked out and began explaining to an awaiting customer on how I just got shafted with the "life time warranty" scam. Gary then began repeating everything I was saying to this person in a child-like voice, as if we were on a playground. I could not believe what was happening and how this guy did a 180 degree turn in attitude because his business practices were questioned. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, don't question him or else.
