I walk with a cane & I had brought my dog. I rather doubt I'll be back. I'd rather go any of the other WEC restaurants where the staff is gracious to the level of Disney gracious. Staff were not at all on par with the rest of WEC, well at least not the blond young woman that waited on me. She did smile upon arrival, but their tone was condescending and obviously an old, plump lady didn't fit her idea of who to be nice to. I ordered quickly, as I came to just try the place out and figured the Ralph's burger was the way to go. I felt all the staff sort of walked around her and gave her a wide berth and frankly all looked nervous. Is there a tyrant there? Layout: is odd! Condiments are on the far right end of the counter, yet the utensils and beverages are on the opposite wall. The girl who took my order said nothing about that. I was surprised to get a burger with no condiments on it. I ordered coffee and they give you a cup and it's self-service, which is perfectly fine, but the tea and coffee were not labeled or if they are, then it's up over 5 feet, I tipped 18%, not my usual 20%*, as it's counter service. I assume that's divided up, as the staff cleaning tables were quick & efficient, as well as pleasant. Maybe blond girl was having a bad day, but if that's the case - don't share it. I was there on June 4th, 2026. Since this is not a chain fast food restaurant and they apparently don't put condiments on the burgers, I think having them on the table would be better. Worst service in Ocala all due to one girl.

Needless to say, we waited in line a while and had to hunt for tables and chairs. Fortunately, my wife and I "divided and conquered" as she secured a table (which we happily shared with another couple after my wife wiped it off with a wet wipe) and I stood in line to place our orders. I ordered the Southwest Burger ($17) and my wife ordered the Patty Melt ($14.75). Both came with fries. We just had water. The wait was longer than we thought (the place was truly packed). My burger had good flavor but thought the burger patty was a bit overdone for my tastes. My wife liked her patty melt and thought it was full of flavor as well but would've preferred the marble rye to be grilled instead of toasted. All in all, despite the crowd which we thought may have affected their execution a bit, we thought of our experience a positive one. We might consider trying out their breakfast when we decide to head back out to WEC for a Sunday service in their quaint chapel. The flavors were enjoyable; however, both bowls seemed noticeably watery. We're not sure if the extra liquid came from the vegetables or the rice preparation, but it was enough to be noticeable and took away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. Menu prices appear to range from around $10 into the $40s, offering options for a variety of budgets. One disappointment was that Elevation 89 is listed online, including on web searches and Yelp, as offering a Sunday Brunch. We specifically chose this location because we meet once a month to try a new brunch spot. Unfortunately, upon arrival we learned there is no Sunday Brunch currently being offered. We were disappointed by the inaccurate information and hope the online listings are updated so future guests can plan accordingly. The breading is claggy and mushy from oil and from sitting so long. My sister in law's baked potato is so stone cold that the butter won't even melt! Two little bowls (cups) of sides were all my brother in law got in the end. Both were cold. When we finally flagged the waitress down and told her this, she said it wasn't her fault, that she brought us the meals as soon as she was given them. She said she'd go get the manager for us, who arrived several minutes later. He said he'd take some percentage off our meals and was sorry; but here's the catch. The burger and fries meal is listed as $13.00 and the premium sides are an extra $5.50. My burger with onion rings on the bill was $18.00, BUT I NEVER GOT THE ONION RINGS. They never took them off the bill. And the bowl of soup my brother in law never got? Still on the bill. The manager gave us a discount of $27 and change. But wait a minute. $14 worth of that bill was items we never received! So in actuality, he only gave us $13 and change off of a almost $100 bill for horribly greasy, cold food. What a rip off! When a customer asks you for a to-go box and you leave and come back without it and they remind you again, then you leave the second time and come back without it AGAIN...DON'T SNAP AT THEM when they AGAIN say "we really need a to-go box!". It's your tip on the line. Don't turn to me and say loudly,"I just got it and set it on the counter in the kitchen! I have to get it, so give me a minute please!!". We finally got our waiter "Chris" he was prompt, mater of fact, and professional. I ordered the spinach salad and a grilled chicken breast on the side, while Dawn ordered the fish and chips. The restaurant is clean with ample lighting over the booths and track lighting through out. I got to see a co-worker (friend) and her family which was pretty cool. The wait for service after our order was placed wasn't too long. The spinach salad was worth the wait and outstanding! The chicken was grilled to perfection and Dawn said her Fish and Chips with smashed peas were delicious. Our waiter, Chris made several trips to our table and made sure we were good to go. Overall, after a little minor and humorous amount of confusion; The meal and service turned out to be excellent. The price is about normal for the area, and just a little pricey for everyday dining. Let me explain: We made a reservation to seat my Mom, for her birthday, at an outdoor table. We arrive and our hostess sat us at a table with a high riser. I asked why we weren't seated outside and all I got was a shrug. We finally were moved and my Mom tripped on the riser, which wasn't marked and very dark, and broke her shoulder. We were stopped instantly on the way out and questioned profusely and rather performatively by the staff. They took our numbers and made a point to say they would check on us. They delayed us from calling an ambulance or driving to the ER for a good 20 minutes. We have not heard from them since. Let's be clear - I understand accidents happen. What I find super frustrating is acting as if you care about your customers when you truly don't. To add to this, I've had the food here one other time. Very limited menu and the quality was super mediocre. We only came here because they had a band and outdoor seating, which we never were given in the first place. Terrible experience.
