Excellent Place to get your Children Started.... Got my son started at 9 months with the Baby and Me class. He initially cried as he was not used to the pool. After only 3 months he has advanced tremendously. He can now go under for 4 seconds under water and doesn't cry. The instructor Ms. Daniella is wonderful! Actually everyone is super nice and friendly. They learn your babies name which make the experience extra personable. I also like that you can this there is always staff observing the children. The Venue has a nice thermic pool, very clean, nicely set up with showers, changing area, parent area, and numerous bathrooms. The school has its private parking which is also very convenient. So far the investment has been great.... Things to note: The classes begin right on time so I definitely recommend you arrive early. read more

Ocaquatics has honestly been our blessing in disguise. Living in Miami, you are bound to either have a pool, go to a pool often, attend a pool party or even enjoy a day out at the beach. Swimming was one of our top priorities when enrolling the boys because they were not confident in the water. My youngest was still using floaties when we started and my oldest needed a boost to improve his skills. Needless to say, we quickly had to transfer from their Gables location to their Bird Road location because of how much they had learned. Bird Road teaches the upper levels because of the distance Levels 4/5/6 swim. The coaches here are incredible, they are so patient and caring. Depending on the age/level of your child, you can book a confirmed class with the same person every week. If your son/daughter change levels, most probably they will also change coaches. You should arrive no more than 5 minutes before your class begins for crowd control because of COVID restrictions. They welcome you with hand sanitizer upon entry and a wrist band for the coach the child will be with. Once inside, parents/caregivers can watch all the action take place! Monthly payments are automatically set and the rates are fantastic. I wouldn't trade our experiences with Ocaquatics for the world. Very grateful for their diligence, expertise and convenience to make it easier on parents to teach about water safety. read more

I was actually extremely impressed with my daughters coach in particular and took a look around to see all the kids happy and the coaches supporting and helping/teaching, all the staff seem to really love their jobs at this place! Super clean which was a big concern of mine with the public swimming pool for lessons but trust parents it's super tidy and disinfected and chlorine everything your children will LOVE this spot, and so will you! From the perky sweet front desk girls who greet ur child with support when u arrive to the hooded towels and googles they sell and ribbons w placements and praise they give ur child for progressing! My baby got a ribbon saying her new swim rank, then came inside and the front desk girl whom was so sweet in the beginning came and told her what a good job she had done and then offered her a cute stamp, which Ofcourse my babygirl LOVED! I cannot say enough amazing things for this swim school. We have had 2 kids here and between the 2 kids have been here for a total of 5-6 years. They are wonderful, loving and so professional. Mr Ben has to be the best instructor and coordinator ever. On Friday, there was a school Holiday for Good Friday. I was stuck in a traffic accident and showed up 15 mins late for the last class of the day. I came in and with 10 minutes left Mr. Ben came out side to the parking lot to get me and my son and told us not to worry that the instructor would stay another 15 mins. He was so kind and accommodating and the instructor was ever so kind. This is the best place to reach your kids water safety and professional swim strokes! read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could. My daughter has been coming here for over a year and we wouldn't go anywhere even if it was free. I don't know how, but they know ALL the kids names and always greet us with a smile. The manager, Ms. Dani, is amazing. Ms. Odalys, on the dry team is always so sweet. I highly recommend the school and the teachers, all but ONE Ms. Viviana L. Not only has my daughter been attending nearly 2 years but the lady has somehow managed to confuse my daughter. She has had 2 classes with her in level 4 (not even scheduled with her) but for one reason or another she has had the privilege of confusing my daughter and all other kids in the process. Amazing place. I couldn't even imagine that simple swimming classes could be that much fun. I started with my baby boy when he was 8 months old. By his 2 he knew how to jump, swim and to not be afraid of water. Now he is like a fish and I am looking forward to see him swimming like a a big boy:)! The teachers are wonderful. This is a great place for children to learn and have fun! The place is clean and well kept, they offer small group classes and the instructors are great. The service is excellent, even over the phone. The pool is heated and the room where the pool is is also heated to offer extra comfort. I take my baby (9 months) once a week for daddy & me swim classes. I can see how she becomes more comfortable in the water every week. Swimming is such an important skill for children. It is a bit on the pricey side since the baby class is only 30 minutes. But she does enjoy it a lot and it is a good activity for her and great bonding with her dad! read more

This is a great place. Children progress at their own pace. It's a really positive place to learn to swim and get better at swimming. Very individualized, child oriented. All the teachers are great. Over the years my kids have had a bunch of teachers as they've leveled up. Nicole is so sweet when she comforts a child it's so loving, it feels like she is comforting her own child. I love the way she hugs my little one. Mari F is really smiley and nice. She gets to know everyone. Ben is the master of distraction. If a child doesn't like something he'll be able to distract them until they learn. He's really good at keeping the kids happy. Camilo is really nice. He made the transition for my daughter to level 6 really positive. Diana is the queen of silliness, the kids love her. She's my daughter's favorite. Alexa M is good at pushing longer distances and is responsive. Anthony is really gentle, he was my favorite baby teacher. Mari Carmen is an amazing teacher. Everyone loves her too. I think she's one of the best. Madisyn is smiley, good too. Kelly M is great, I highly recommend. She helped my daughter big time. She's my daughter's second favorite. Yuni is amazing!!! So animated, so funny, so wonderful at keeping even the fussiest kids happy. I love her! Odalys is the front greeter and she is fantastic. She knows everyone and will help you out with everything. Ocaquatics Swim School is amazing! My three-year-old daughter started four months ago and is already swimming independently and is extremely comfortable in the water. She has learned to swim the length of the pool doing the breaststroke and backstroke while learning to float on her back for safety. It is absolutely amazing to watch. My daughter absolutely loves going to class each week, the staff is really friendly and accommodating, all of the teachers are knowledgeable and great, and the facility is extremely clean and well organized. I absolutely love this school. I have had my son enrolled since he was 1 and half and he is now 3. When I first put him in swimming I used a company that used an outdoor pool, it was so cold and my son didn't like it! Ocaquatics starts you off in the water when your child is smaller which helped my son get comfy. Once he moved up levels I didn't have to get in the water anymore (thank god). The teachers are so sweet, Mr.Ben is awesome!! When we first started I didn't think once a week would be enough but it totally is! My son has so much confidence in the pool now. It does get crowded depending on the time you go! But the fact that it's an indoor pool and he can come during the colder months it's a big plus for me! read more

I am absolutely thrilled with Ocaquatics. After two summers of very expensive private lessons at a neighbor's pool, we started Ocaquatics in January. By early June, with a weekly class only and some missed here and there, our little girl can swim, dive underwater, do backstrokes. The staff and service is wonderful. Highly recommend. My son just started a private swim session during spring break. I know it's only day one but I am thrilled! Mr. Ben was so sweet and fun with my son, he couldn't stop smiling throughout the class and telling me how much fun he was having. As a parent what more could you want? He was working hard with my son on his skills which were rusty as we haven't been swimming since this summer but this was a wonderful refresher and we can't wait to go back tomorrow. I will def be continuing here to continue to improve his skills so he'll be ready for summer. read more

Had my 2 year old here for a while to try to get her to learn to swim but I took her out. The facility is nice but the instruction seems to be an issue for me. The lesson is half an hour. In that half hour they instruct 3 toddlers. So in total your child might receive 10 minutes (best case scenario) or less of one on one instruction. The time in the lesson obviously has to be split between three kids often times these kids have crying fits which eats up the time even more as the instructor has to spend time to calm them down. Last time I was there my child was given toys during the lesson. This distracted her greatly. I asked that they not give her toys and the instructor complied and took them away however other instructors kept giving her the toys back and her instructor did nothing to take them away. She was suppose to be learning to float on her back in that lesson. How is she supposed to learn with toys in her hand distracting her? My other issue is that the last three lessons were exactly the same. I saw no progression despite the fact that my daughter was successfully doing the exercise. The progress was way too slow. My kid was motivated and successfully doing what she needed to but the lessons didn't advance? Are they stringing out the lessons to make more money? The instruction was not up to par in my opinion. We are extremely happy with Ocaquatics!!!!!! My two sons have been swimming with them for 5 years now and they've learned a whole lot within the first few months. My little one started when he was about a year and now swims like a fish! And my oldest is in level 6 and he's ready to move on to the swim team. I had my daughter attend the Kendall location for roughly 8 months when she was 1. After noticing that she was not advancing much in the pool, I pulled her from the swimming classes to look for a more individually dedicated school. I found one but a spot was not available until the summer. Recently she fell into the pool and could not get herself out. Luckily, I was in the pool with her and grabbed her in time. I am very disappointed that none of what she learned came back to her in what could have been a very tragic moment. With the money I paid this school, I could have paid a private instructor to come to my home and REALLY teach her to safe herself from a dangerous situation. I am even more disappointed that when I called the school to voice the concern that I felt as if she still did not know her basic survival skills, they basically told me they would teach her what they could in the ONE CLASS we had remaining for the month. They could have easily evaluated her skills and noticed that after 8 months, she truly did not know the basic live saving skills. They did not offer extra classes or even a pamphlet. The staff if courteous enough and the facility is clean, however, cleanliness and politeness will not save your child's life. If you don't have an urgency to have your baby learn to swim; have the extra money and want to attend an indoor pool so your child can have some fun in the pool, then this is the place for you! If you want your child to learn to save themselves from drowning, I STRONGLY urge you to look elsewhere for a more private venue where the instructors can focus more on your child's skills rather than chasing floating toys around the pool. read more
