I was a traveler from Northern California in Santa Fe enroute to Tucson, AZ. I had a problem with my chain which needed to be adjusted or replaced. Given the short duration of my stay in Santa Fe, I opted for a chain adjustment. OCD took on the task without a prior appointment on my part and Marc and his team of technicians took care of the task right away. I appreciate the time taken to resolve my issue and also appreciate Marc providing me a reference to a place in Tucson (On Any Moto) where I could take care of a chain replacement (which I did). read more

If I could give you 10 stars I would!! Our 2015 2500 Sprinter van 170 extended high top would not go into reverse on a cold morning at Taos Ski Valley.. needless to say it freaked us out. MB dealership in SF could not get us in for 2 weeks! They said try OCD... We couldn't find OCD online doing Sprinters, but a call to them had us in later the SAME DAY!!! We immediately headed into SF and found welcoming staff, lots of Sprinters being worked on and great mechanics. What a relief to find out the transmission was good, full of fluid and WHAT no charge!! They also do suspension upgrades, slip differential for 2WD, and showed us how to put a dipstick in the tranny! Wow I wish you guys were closer to us in CA, but in lieu of that 10 stars! My husband and I found out about OCD through a friend and have become loyal customers, even making the drive from Albuquerque for repairs. This is saying something because we usually do our own repairs on vehicles. Our Mercedes Gwagen has never run better and you couldn't find faster service. Marc and Frances go out of their way to find the right parts and make sure the vehicle is fixed and back on the road, like new. The shop is new construction and immaculate, staff is professional. I recommend this shop often to friends who have prized vehicles or those who want fast, reliable work for bikes or cars. read more

I appreciate people who are OCD about how they work on bikes and it shows here. Not only that but I certainly don't trust just anyone to work on my bike. Had multiple things done forks, tires, brakes, ordered parts as well and got advice on how to fix things myself. Other places in town have been lacking for me in regards to competence on services or even a dialogue about it. I say this because I work on my bike and have investigated every shop in town. Not only that but they get shit done over here and get me back on the road fast. In response to this other review, Santa Fe doesn't have a "cheap" bike mechanic or anyone who doesn't do a diagnostic fee for services. Unless you bring your bike to me haha. :) read more

The "Auto Repair" part is code for "one of the nations top Mercedes Geländewagen (G-Wagen) Master Technicians" right here in our own back yard. Every G-Wagen owner in this country, If they are true G-Wagen owners, not these rap star posers who bling out their poor poor G's, know of Marc Beyer. I live in Albuquerque, but gladly make the drive to Santa Fe to have Marc keep my beloved G500 in tip top shape. Marc and Franny run a pristinely nice shop that is always fun to visit and see the huge variety of other people's beloved cars and motor bikes being worked on. I can't say for sure exactly what cars they will work on or not, but I know if you have a Mercedes Benz, or dang near any Motorcycle, you will be in excellent hands with these guys. read more

I was 1,000 miles into a 4,000 mile trip on my 1999 BMW GS when my headlight, and one heated grip stopped working. I called a day ahead brought it in and within 30 minutes everything was fixed. Their shop is super clean, I found them all very professional and the price was extremely reasonable. They totally saved me - my experience couldn't have been better. read more

This is the worst example of customer service I have EVER received. Truly... EVER. I don't want to and won't name names. I will say it is NOT the well respected technician whom I was directed to. Here are some examples of the dreadful service I received: 1) I was told after the fact that there is a charge for a "diagnostic" to determine what type of repairs would be needed for my scooter. 2) They admitted that I wasn't told upfront and still insisted I pay the "diagnostic" in full. Nor were they willing to come up with a creative/win-win solution for both parties. 3) If there is any disagreement, OCD's rules and regulations will be barked at you. By the way, this is a one-way conversation and you must listen. 4) If you try to insist on being heard (yes, I resorted to interruption and spoke over their voice), you will be hung up on (twice). 5) You are given challenging, if not impossible demands/deadlines. For example, you are told Sunday evening, that you MUST pick up scooter Monday morning between the hours of 10-12. Then when you have managed to make arrangements to pick-up said scooter, you are told at 9:30AM that you must sign their paper work, before the scooter can be "released". Did I mention it's Monday? Yeah, I work for a living and can't just leave my job at the whim of someone else. Needless to say, I don't think very much of this bossy-pants establishment (LLC), that cares nothing about customer service. So, if S&M is your kink, this is the place to go for mean-spirtited punishment. Gladly, there are plenty of other nice and competent places to take my business. read more

We have too many great things say about OCD Custom Cycles & Repair! We had the pleasure of meeting Marc after a rough night when our 1991 GWagen broke down in Albuquerque. Because we were travelers just passing through town, Marc was kind enough to open up his shop on a Saturday to take a look at our vehicle. We were immediately impressed by the quality of Marc's work. He diagnosed the problem within 20 minutes (something the local dealership was unable to do), and had parts ordered that day. While we waited for parts to arrive, Marc helped us with some deferred maintenance on our rig, and found/repaired a broken exhaust hanger. Given that we were on a long trip (California to Patagonia), Marc helped us figure out what additional parts we needed to bring as spares, and identified a few key Mercedes part numbers on our vehicle that would help other mechanics source parts if we ever ran into further mechanical trouble. On top of OCD's technical expertise, we found Marc and Frances to be kind and supportive. We'd love to do business with them again!! The guys saved my bacon. I was out for a ride and my scooter conked out on a fairly busy street. I didn't know what to do so I called OCD and explained the situation. I said I could call AAA and hopefully get them to get the scooter over to them. They said no - not to worry - Marc would come over and get it right away. He brought us back to the shop, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Fortunately it was a minor glitch and I was back on the road in no time. They couldn't have been nicer. read more

Marc did a great job of diagnosing and repairing a problematic issue on my KTM. Everyone is quite friendly and helpful. They specialize in BMWs but are not limited to them. The shop is super clean and organized and the work is top notch. I definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their Euro-bike serviced. read more

Marc was a competent, reliable mechanic when he worked at Executive Auto. Since opening OCD, he's been a disappointment. Whether it's the pressure of the profit and loss responsibility or something else, Marc has repeatedly disappointed. My first disappointment was when Marc charged over $1,000 to repair a faulty brake modulator. Except that Marc doesn't have the equipment to perform that repair. The last disappointment, and I mean the last - I won't be back - is that Marc charged $300 to repair a fault in the MotoLights. Within an hour of leaving the shop, the lights shorted and melted the bulb receptacle. Marc claims to stand behind his work with a warranty. But dispite my communication of disappointment with his work, he has made no effort to make good on work he took on but could not perform, nor to repair the substandard work on the MotoLights. Sandia BMW might not be great, but they really do continue to work until they get it right. read more

I drove down to Arroyo Seco Raceway this weekend for trackday (from Santa Fe) and when my 750 GSXR wouldn't start (which had started right up for two heat cycles the day before after an oil change), I thought my day of riding was over before it even began. Marc Beyer and Frances Sayer with OCD Custom Cyles and Auto Repair were there to ride (not work) and Marc was gracious enough to take time out of his day off to go over my bike, diagnose the problem (luckily it was a faulty connection and fixable track side), and get me out on the track before lunch. I will definitely be taking my bikes to them for all future services. read more

Brought my bike in to have a carburetor tuned. They ended up putting new spark plugs in it which I didn't ask for it all because it had brand-new ones. Charge me too much money and it still doesn't run right. So if you want to pay too much and not get your bike fixed I recommend you go here. read more

Frances and Marc are the most informed, professional, and competent bike shop owners I have ever met. Combining old world craftsman and with good communication, they deliver what they promise. The motorcycle serviced was a 2006 BMW F650 GS, though they work on a variety of equipment. Look around when you are there - I even saw an old Hodaka Combat Wombat tucked in a corner! read more

I must comment on the outstanding help I received at OCD custom cycles. While traveling through Santa Fe on a 2,000 mile road trip on my Harley Electra Glide, my horn suddenly stopped working. A trip to the local dealership was a bust - apparently all dealerships in SF are closed on Mondays. I finally called around and spoke to a private bike shop, located somewhere on Rufina Circle. I never found the shop, but happened to spot OCD cycle and strolled in. I was warmly greeted by a personable woman who told me they didn't have any horns in stock; they had sold the last one off the display rack recently and hadn't gotten the new shipment. I inquired about a used horn, as I needed to be safe. She called for Mark, owner/mechanic (I assume). He cheerfully produced a box of horns and after rummaging through them, I chose a Fiamm unit that looked to be about the right size. He allowed me to test it on my bike first, then told me he couldn't charge me for an old horn. "Just leave a tip in the jar for the office staff" he said. I dropped a 10 spot with the receptionist and went to install the horn in the parking lot. I needed to trim a terminal guard down and reposition one of the tabs, but it proved tougher than my knife and tools could handle. I asked Mark if he would be willing to make the mods and he dropped what he was working on and did. I tried to pay him for his time, but he refused. I've been riding for over 40 years and have never been treated better. Santa Fe is lucky to have this man and his shop in town. Thanks again, Mark! read more
