Came here on a double date and wanted to try a variety of dishes. If you love seafood this is the spot to go! It's very affordable unique seafood that you can't find in other seafood restaurants. They have the regular fried fish and shrimp but it doesn't stop there. At ocean crawfish they regular grilled fish dishes to snail, clams and other unique varieties. We ordered the scallops, different snails, oyster samplers and crawfish. Everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were all on point. The coconut snail dish had me wanting to drink the sauce. The razor clams were cooked perfectly to where they weren't chewy like a rubber band. The crawfish sizes were perfect not too large not too small but the flavor was mainly outside the crawfish so they probably don't soak it there. The device was very fast even though it was busy. You will not be confused of the ambiance. When you walk in you know you're here for seafood because they have ocean murals and large clean tanks of fresh seafood.

I visited Ocean Crawfish on Beechnut twice within two days in January because I really wanted to give them a fair try. The crawfish were definitely live and fresh, which I appreciated. You can tell they take pride in having good quality seafood. The first time, I ordered the Medium Spice Ocean Signature. When I received my order, I noticed the receipt said mild, so I let them know it was supposed to be medium. A lady kindly took them to the back and said she was adding more spice. However, when I started eating them, they still didn't taste medium spiced. The second visit, I asked for spicy, thinking maybe I just needed to go up a level. Unfortunately, they still weren't spicy at all--honestly not even medium. The flavor was there, but the heat level just didn't match what I requested either time. Overall, the crawfish were fresh, which is a big plus. I may just need to speak with someone directly next time to make sure my spice level is right because I really want that true medium or spicy kick.

A seafood restaurant that prepares dishes in an Asian style loved by many Vietnamese diners. The space is spacious enough for groups, the food comes out quickly, the staff is attentive, and the prices are reasonable.

The oysters (both raw and cooked) were good, and the crawfish was huge and yummy. If your body is okay with consuming a lot of unhealthy fat, I would highly recommend that you try the fried soft-shell crab with salted egg- OMG I love it! The baby geoduck clams soaked in this spicy, flavorful oily sauce were delicious, and my husband was very impressed with it (the oily sauce). The sea snails in coconut milk were A-OK; it was much better a few months back when I had it for the first time, but last night it was kinda like meh.... Service was pretty much zero. My kids got the cheese sticks and chicken tenders with fries- both were bad though. 1 and a half of the chicken tenders were completely raw inside, and my 6-year-old was like Oh mommy, why is this chicken pink? *eye roll* Oh well, I still do love this place a lot and definitely will come back.

The place gets really crowded because they offer $9 oysters. Make sure to double check with the waiter about the discount, since they sometimes forget to apply it. That said, the food is great. The ambiance is pretty noisy and busy due to the crowd.

They are currently having an oyster special so we decided to stop by and try it out. We got 3 different style of oysters topping, crawfish, and a seafood platter. I'm a sucker for seafood platter and it did not disappoint. It was fry to perfection! The oysters was a little on the smaller side but the toppings made a huge difference. The crawfish was a good size and flavorful. You can choose from different flavor and we chose the garlic butter. Can't wait to come back.

A mighty and frenetic eating establishment for shellfish. Wow, they offer so much crayfish and oysters and crab here. Fresh and deliciously seasoned.

i've gone here before but the food has greatly improved since then! favorite thing was the razor clam papaya salad, my whole family was in love with the flavor and crisp papaya! their razor clams are their most popular item, but it tasted rubbery to me - would not get again fried rice was addicting with the pops of topiko. everything was overall tasty

Ocean Crawfish's 2025 $9.99 deal is a steal -- you get a good amount of food for a great price. There's so many items in the $9.99 menu that you'll for sure find something you like. The dishes we ordered came out fast and were delicious for the value. Service is decent, though not particularly attentive. If you're here for tasty seafood on a budget, it definitely delivers.

My family decided to try this restaurant because we heard about the $9 promotion. At the time we got to the restaurant, we got a table really quick. The restaurant was super crowded with extremely noisy. The tables were literally next to each other, so you shouldn't expect some privacy time with your family or friends. Maybe because there were so many customers, we only can see our waiter 4 times, when he took the order, when he brought out our drinks, when we had to go to other table to get some sauces to eat with food, and when we checked out. About the food, they had plenty of options from $5 to $20-30. Their food had a good portion for the price; however, food was extremely greasy. I couldn't eat the noodles at all, tasted like raw noodles mixed with raw oil and veggies. The mussels with cheese were pretty good, but also very oily, and the cheese sauce was not the best. The squids dishes were decent, also very oily. The sauce for the snails tasted like the same sauce for the mussels even though it should taste like salted egg york. Overall, I like their $9 menu. I might come back, but I'm not sure.

Came in on a Friday night and was seated right away. Security guard at the front which is a good thing considering the neighborhood Really budget friendly place if you're looking for crawfish. Good variety of options on the menu The gumbo I ordered was a tad salty (was super thirsty afterwards I think because of it) There was a piece of the fried mushrooms that wasn't cooked all the way (tasted an icy part in there) The oysters were really good, as was the crawfish. Bathrooms were clean, but it didn't have any paper towels.

Heard this place gets packed on weekends. Decided to go on a weekday for dinner. The interior of Ocean Crawfish is decorated like you're inside a boat. Until 11/22/24, there's a special where some dishes are only $9 each! Crazy price for the food quality! Service was quick. Pay at the counter once you're done eating. Complimentary lettuce but it was just ok, nothing unique. Ordered 3 dishes: rau muong xao toi (stir-fried morning glory with garlic), grilled oysters (10pc), and garlic fried squid All were delicious! There was something really addicting about the fried garlic bits with oil in the squid dish. Will go back in the future to try other dishes!

My second visit here. This time, we didn't get any salad as last time. Service this time around was not very good. I ordered the oyster combo, small cheese scallops, seafood pan-fried noodles, and fried okra. I wasn't very impressed with any of the dishes. I found the scallops with cheese to be the best dish. I find that their dishes were over-priced & underwhelming this time around. Maybe it was an off day for them, but I don't think I'll be returning for a third round. There are so many amazing seafood & crayfish joints in Houston to explore. Happy Yelping!

Their bánh khọt was crispy, sweet and savory, and went well with the fish sauce. Although the portions initally look small, they are very filling. The bò né was filling and sizzling when it came out. It also came with a side of salad. The meat was tender. I really liked the bánh khọt and would definitely come back for them. I couldn't have been more wrong. Xeo Yum (#1) as it turns out is one of the most legit Vietnamese places in Midtown serving up some of the city's best banh xeo and banh khot. Located inside of a Food Hall (#2) in the back corner, they have low-key become a destination and without question, the most popular stall in the entire place. The fan base didn't happen overnight but is a direct result of Chef Cuong Nguyen's commitment to quality Vietnamese fare. Banh Xeo is their signature item, which is also known as a sizzling crepe or pancake made of rice flour, tumeric, and coconut milk. The banh xeo holds well, is perfectly crispy, and is nicely stuffed with an assortment of beans sprouts, shrimp, and some of the best grilled pork belly I've had. Another specialty item that doesn't get enough mention is their banh khot, which is similar but has a mini muffin / cupcake like appearance made in a specialty cast iron mold. This version is wonderfully crispy and pairs perfectly with fresh greens and fish sauce with some funk. It is my favorite item here. Some have argued they also serve one of the best bo ne (#3), the Vietnamese version of steak and eggs served in a skillet. The chunks of beef are nice and tender with just a tad of char, served with two fried eggs, and a banh mi baguette with a mix of butter and spare. Normally I think of spam or sausage included with the meats, but Chef Cuong's spin is with cherry tomatoes. It's a different approach and I'm not mad at it. Folks not looking for this can shoot for bo luc lac, aka shaking beef, which is also recommended. The staff here is sweet, hard-working, and very friendly. They also make a mean Vietnamese coffee and offer free iced self-serve water. The prices are what I would expect in a Midtown food hall, and there's plenty of seating. Anyone checking out the food hall need to make Xeo Yum as part of their eating itinerary. __________ (#1) A play on the Vietnamese sizzling crepe, Banh "xeo" and yum" (#2) Previously the Conservatory and now Stestí Food Hall. When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. There is a mural of Vietnamese landscape and an aquarium of arwanas. We started with mango salad with grilled pork and papaya salad with shrimp. Both dishes came with sweet and sour dressing. Mango was sweet and grilled pork was yummy. Papaya salad was fresh and a bit more subtle. We also ordered the fresh spring rolls. The old Saigon rolls came with mango and pork. Always liked mangoes. The other was regular fresh spring rolls with shrimp. The rolls came out last after when we got our Pho. Would have enjoyed it more if it came after the salads. I ordered the combination Pho with all the ingredients (brisket, eye round, tendon, meatball and tripe)a. There is only one size. There was a lot of noodles for the size of the bowl. They were generous with the meat. Wish they would have more soup. The soup itself was ok. Thought it was a little bland compared to others. Service was quick. It didn't take long to receive our order. They offer reusable wooden chopsticks. Will plan to try the other dishes other than Pho like rice plates next time.

My friends ordered the filet mignon and the chicken and they were equally as impressed! I ordered the espresso mousse for dessert which comes out in the shape of a coffee bean. Cuteeee and perfect! This place didn't disappoint and it is a must visit.

This is a higher end fine dining restaurant so you should expect the portion sizes and price to be pretty comparable to a lot of other finer dining restaurants. Overall the food's flavor was fantastic. I ordered the king salmon clay pot. I thought the salmon was so tasty! They added pepper and sauce to the salmon - It was tender and flavorful and paired nicely with white rice. The quail (not pictured below) also was super flavorful and was cooked so well it tasted like beef. The soup was also light and refreshing, similar to a west lake soup. It was thicker consistency and had cilantro and chucks of lobster. The drinks served were also super balanced. We ordered the mojito and the dragon fruit cocktail. The mojito was the right balance between minty and sweet with just a hint of alcohol flavor. For the dragon fruit cocktail, it was very fruity, on the sweeter side but not overpowering and was topped with egg whites to give it a little bit of frothiness. I will say, we are slightly underdressed to enter this establishment. Everything seemed so luxurious and many people were in formal business wear! Keep this in mind if you go! There is a parking deck right next to the location as well, both self parking and valet!
