I would give Ocean Drive Villas a zero rating if Yelp would let me. I booked a 2-night April stay here through Expedia. Our flight was cancelled by the airline while we were sitting at the gate waiting to board. I immediately contacted Expedia to cancel our stay at Ocean Drive. The Expedia agent repeatedly attempted to contact someone at Ocean Drive to no avail. When an Expedia agent finally got through a few days later, Ocean Drive refused to refund us for the 2 nights and claimed that we did not cancel in time. I suppose if you refuse to answer the phone, that's how Ocean Drive can get your money, rent the same room to someone else, and get paid twice. Don't get scammed. Avoid this property like the plague. read more

Check in went smooth, room was clean, and limited but close parking. Make sure your package specifies whether parking fees are included. Conveniently about 3 blocks away from a busy intersection of the boardwalk of Hollywood Beach. They provide beach chairs but they had mold stains so I left them alone. Pros: 1. Clean room, I could slightly smell the bleach in the cabinets which is a good thing in my opinion 2. Very clean bathroom, looks recently updated 3. Omg! It was my first time coming to FL and my first stop was ODVH. I was lost, of course and feeling a little crazy from travel, I called the hotel in a frantic because there are two ODV, thought this is the hotel. Evie picks up, she is so sweet and accommodating, something you want when you're traveling alone as a women. I totally felt safe with her. She made check in easy, helped with parking and even pointed me in the right direction. Customer service was 5 * The facility: location location location! The hotel is near everything and is truly ideal if you are on a budget. The hotel does need new doors, I was not feeling great about a lack of latch, deadbolt, safe and steel door. As a single woman traveling, I can't skimp in those ( but this was a holdover until my room was ready for the week somewhere else) and for that it served it's purpose. I don't drink or anything so I felt pretty ok. Overall I didn't mind this place, it was clean, bed, stove...towels need updating. read more

I have never been the person to leave a hotel early nor leave bad reviews unless the experience is really horrible.So I booked this hotel for 7 days and I left early because I saw roaches in the room I stayed every single day. When I asked to be moved to another room, because they didn't have other rooms available, I went to another hotel for my peace of mind. I asked for a refund for the nights I didn't stay and they refused to give me a refund because they checked the room that they sprayed and didn't not find any roaches. I saw roaches in the bathroom cabinet and the drawers that I put my clothes in. I did not do my due diligence of checking every review and they have a 8.0 rating on hotels.com. If I left the hotel, I must have imagined the roaches, I am not schizophrenic and I really wish that I had a video of the roaches moving and hiding in the corners. They also had mosquitoes coming from the bathroom drain. On top of that, someone else stayed in the room that I left so they are definitely making double the amount. read more

First time in Miami! I came to take care of my friend since she was having a BBL procedure done. The first two days we went on an adventure and this is the perfect location to stay at if you want to go to the beach, go shopping and eat at great restaurants. Everything is walking distance! Walking to the beach is like 6min!! You are right on ocean drive and right behind north beach. The environment was great! So many plants and places to hang out outside. Everyone that I meet were really friendly and welcoming. The staff was so helpful. Every time I needed something I would just go to the office and they will answer all my questions and make sure I have everything I needed to restock my room. They have a coin based washer and dryer in the far back to do your laundry :) our room was spacious for two people. It came with a queen bed, loveseat, flat screen TVs, a kitchen and of course the bathroom. I had such a great stay here and I will make future reservations again. I encourage anyone that's looking for a relaxing get away to stay here. read more

Pros: you are extremely close to the beach and boardwalk, check-in and check-out was easy, there was a large refrigerator in the room, there were some beach chairs available to use, and there is internet available. Negatives: the sheets and towels are extremely rough and scratchy, most of the bathroom fixtures were rusted, the provided beach towels are tiny and old, there is no daily maid service unless you request it, and no continental breakfast other than coffee at the front desk. Good hotel if you don't plan on staying in your room very much. Our room and kitchen area seemed to be much smaller and less equipped than neighboring rooms. May want to ask what is included in your room. read more

ADDITIONAL PARKING ACROSS THE STREET. Needed to start the review out with that, so no one else will have to go through what we did. When we got back at 10pm there were no open parking spots, which was frustrating because we paid to park. The office is not open overnight, and no one answers the phone, and the voicemail is full, so we had no way of knowing about the additional parking across the street. No one told us and it isn't advertised anywhere, including not in front of the additional lot. The only parking anywhere else around is paid parking, which would be about $50 to stay overnight, which was very frustrating after already paying for a spot. We were lucky enough that we ran into another guest who had asked about the parking earlier that day when he got back to no spaces available, and he informed us about the other lot. Our only other complaint was that our check in was supposed to be at 3, we called earlier that day to see if we could get an early check in and they said no, which was understandable. We got there at 3 and the room was not ready, and they asked if we could come back at 4 instead. While this was frustrating because we were limited to where we could go without the ability to change out of our winter clothes, we understood many places are understaffed currently. We walked the boardwalk while we waited the additional hour until it started to rain, luckily just around 4 so we walked back to check in to our room, just to find out it still wasn't ready and they asked us to come back in another half an hour. We were very limited to what to do in the mean time as it was raining. Finally at 4:56 our room was ready. We asked the woman working if there was anything the hotel could do to make up for this mishap and the woman was very apologetic and polite, but informed us we'd have to wait until the next day to speak to her manager. When we went to talk to the manager the next day she said that she wasn't the manager and there was no manager, and was extremely unpleasant. It was more than just her being rude, she was very mean for no reason. We wanted to work the problems out with her rather than bash the hotel as a whole, because it really is a beautiful and well kept property, but she made it a lot worse. The only reason I'm giving three stars rather than 1 is because the other staff members, including the woman working the first day and the maintenance and cleaning workers were lovely and the room was beautiful. This hotel is not meant to be luxury, it is homey and cute. It has a full kitchen and it's very clean and well kept. It's a beautiful hotel and if it were not for Natasha we would probably stay here again. The two flaws were easily made up for by how beautiful the place was, but it was not worth dealing with the rude manager. read more

I visit Miami area twice/three times per month. Was very glad to find this hotel (reasonable prices and excellent level of services get me back every time I am in Miami). Once I was checking for a room in there and they didn't have any rooms available. A desk clerk made a call to the other nearby hotel to help we to find the room in another hotel. I was very surprised at the amount of price I paid and the quality of the stay I had! The room has cute decoration, a little kitchen area, a very homey feel, literally walking distance to the beach and I thought it was very clean. Bathroom and bed were clean and organized. Ants Ants and more Ants. I understand this is Florida but come on. I bought groceries our first night here and had to toss anything that wasn't sealed. Woke up to a box of donuts that were infested with ants. When I went to express me concern to the counter. All she said was well this is Florida and would send a custodian in to check it out. No one ever came. Had to toss the garbage bag outside the door so it wouldn't attract any more Ants. PS the bag is still there 2 days later. read more

The room was clean, shower pressure was great, no problems with the actual room. My problem is it is $10 to park a day on the street and for that, you can get a hotel were parking is included. In addition, we paid ahead for parking, you have to, and we didn't have a spot to park in the second day. We had to park in a deck that cost $15. They did refund us and pay for our parking, but I had to prove it with pictures I had taken... Thank goodness I took them. If you don't have a car, it's a nice little community feel, but parking is awful and they do not clean rooms for the duration of your stay. read more
