We had another great stay at the Ocean Glass Inn for the 2nd year in a row. This time, I reserved Room #3, which is quite roomy with two queen beds. They texted me to let me know that an earlier arrival was possible. The front office staff is always very pleasant. We arrived just in time for the free happy hour, so we enjoyed wine & beer. The rooms are immaculate, the AC is great, and all the little touches are there. Breakfast is awesome--quite a variety: several kinds of tasty baked egg cups, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, croissants, cereals, juices, yogurts, fruit, coffee. Room is very small. There is not even a small table inside, we had to eat on the bed. One nightstand only. The hot water did not work. Contacted the manager who said they have having electrical issues. The clothes drawer in the room was old and rusty and we couldn't open it. Kept our clothes in the language in an already very small room. The room smelled moldy, old, and unpleasant. The whole "hotel" is actually an old motel that has been renovated to look modern but it's a scam. Check the square footage before you rent. Paid $250 a night for a tiny motel room pretty much. Breakfast? Hardly anything. The coffee machine was new but it took forever to make a cup of coffee. I can't imagine if there was a line of people waiting. I never felt so scammed and fooled in my life. Never again. read more

Super sweet renovated vintage motel with bungalows. Staff super friendly, morning coffee and light breakfast, 4-5pm happy hour beer and wine. Easy parking and convenient to walk into town or beach. Rooms clean with fridge and microwave. The only area where I can see improvement is getting an iron in every room. We asked for one, however front desk said property only had 2 and they didn't know where they were. They should have said they could call us when one is ready and know which room had them. 2 night stay as we were in town for a wedding. As this is an older property that has been refurbished, the room was on the smaller side, but was clean and well appointed. The owners have pride in their establishment and it shows. All staff encountered were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a nice touch. While not on the beach side of the canal, it was still a easy walk into town. Ocean Glass is a good option for a couple looking for a quick getaway. Rates are fair with a much better location than options out on the highway. Will definitely consider again in the future. read more

The continental breakfast was the nicest I have seen. There is a super nice happy hour. So great to have a nice sized fridge and microwave. We stayed at the Ocean Glass Inn last Friday through Monday and the owner, Jadine Pilotti was so friendly, helpful, energetic, kind, and accommodating. She's got a great sense of style. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, the decorations were lovely/fun, and the beds were comfortable. Great shower, enough hanging space for wardrobe, extra shelves, plus dresser, desk, comfortable chairs, and good lighting. The office and breakfast areas were welcoming. Excellent breakfast ,coffee, additional drinks, and nice choices. We booked through an online site, but I would suggest booking directly. I had called regarding an iron and it was left in the room with an ironing board. Plenty of towels, nice refrigerator and freezer plus microwave and coffee maker and coffee/tea in room. Our first time at Ocean Glass Inn and we couldn't be happier! Came for the weekend just before valentine's day. They left us a valentine's card, split if champagne and chocolates! Nice surprise. My boyfriend and I planned a two night stay at the ocean glass in back in early May. With the uncertainty of Covid-19, we were hoping things in Delaware would open back up in time for our little vacation. I called the week before our booking, and confirmed the Ocean Glass Inn would be open for business... the kind receptionist on the phone let me know that they'd be ready to welcome us when we arrived! When we got to the hotel, we checked in easily, within a few minutes, and were informed about happy hour, which happened each evening from 4-5:30, breakfast each morning from 8-10, and that if we needed any supplies for the beach, we shouldn't hesitate to ask. Our room itself, a deluxe queen room, was pristine and in perfect order when we arrived. While it was on the smaller side, we still managed to unpack and got all of our belongings in comfortably. We found this place via internet search as one of the best to stay in. My wife asked if there were vegan options available for breakfast hours and Erin said she would check to see if they could provide options. Upon arrival we were greeted with a nice note, vegan breakfast burritos, and snacks. A really awesome gesture from Erin. She made it happen and we're really thankful because we're aware it's not a prominent place for vegans. We booked one of the cottages, which we found clean and smelling really good. My wife and stayed at Ocean Glass Inn 5/17/2024 to 5/19/2024; we were so impressed, plus we found the owner so friendly, we had to write a review. This is a lovely Inn. The owner Jadine (bought and re did the place in 2019) lives nearby, and not only is the place nicely decorated, serviced, and organized, but the breakfast is just outstanding. Served from 8:30 to 10 AM daily, it has home made meat and veggie frittatas, a nice selection of bagels, breads, croissants, pastries, yogurts, fruit, and of course coffee. With the coffee, there is a selection of sugar free syrups and small chocolates to put in the coffee. There are juices, almond milk, and whipped cream. The owners recently renovated and did a great job! Super clean rooms with large refrigerators, TVs and lots of little amenities like free bottled water in the room, a ton of little extra toiletries in the bathroom, etc. etc. A free continental breakfast is also included in the lobby and it was yum! Just stayed here for a few days after being in DC. Very quaint and inviting. Rooms very clean and spacious with fridge and microwave. Nice breakfast each morning. They also do a happy hour in the afternoon. All of the staff are very friendly. We chose to walk to the beach/boardwalk and it is doable about 25 or so minutes. Conflicted on this review as the Inn/motel was nice, clean, but our room was extremely small. Room number 15 is significantly smaller than the rooms shown on the website as a queen room. Hard for two people to move around in. Overall they have done a nice nod remodeling an old motel. A decent walk to the beach and to downtown Rehoboth but you can walk it in about 25 minutes. read more

WONDERFUL, BOOK NOW! My family and I stayed here during my birthday weekend in July for the first time and I see this as our go-to place to stay when we visit Rehobeth. From the cleanliness, to the staff, to the decor, to the vibe and so on... I cannot say enough. You can tell from the moment you step on the property that the owner and the whole team genuinely CARE about the establishment and take pride in their work. I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner and she was not a "set and forget" type of person. You better believe she was getting down and dirty to support the staff in keeping everything in tip top shape! (Which I really appreciate.) Beyond the fabulous staff, the property had such a quaint and authentic beach vibe from top to bottom, down to the littlest details. (Including ocean glass pieces surrounding the building instead of regular rocks--see photos.) It was as if I was staying at my best friends beach house. They offer complimentary (homemade) breakfast (+Mimosas!) and a great little happy hour daily including beverages, snacks, cheese, crackers, etc. They even have complimentary (quality) beach carts available for guests to utilize. AND to top it all off...They surprised me with a complimentary birthday gift basket with little bottles of wine, two wine glasses and a bunch of snacks, perfect for me to share with my family. We decided to take a bike trip from the CMLF to Rehoboth and found the Ocean Glass Inn. The Inn was amazing. We were treated like family by the owner and her staff from the moment we checked in. They offered us water, soda, and snacks. The room was just as amazing as the staff. The room was very clean and modern. The next morning we were treated to breakfast which was a huge bonus! When our Rehoboth Beach accommodations fell through at the last minute (during peak beach season), my friends and I lucked up with a one-night stay at Ocean Glass Inn. Well, we can't wait to return! We really enjoyed this place. We stayed in late June for just two nights - in town for friends' beach wedding. While it is a fair distance from the beach (as advertised,) the stroll down is enjoyable or you can drive in just a few minutes - parking at the beach was plentiful and reasonably priced as long as we headed down early enough. The room was small, but impeccably clean, with a comfortable bed. Quiet at night. The free breakfast was wonderful, although I suppose I wish they started serving earlier than 8:30. Wide assortment of cereal, fruit, bagels/muffins, juice etc. The evening reception was also an awesome touch after a day at the beach, with beer, wine, cheese, and an impressive assortment of snacks. We really appreciated the loaner beach equipment; high-quality folding beach chairs, towels, small umbrellas- and carts if you wanted to make the walk. read more

Best mini vacation. We stayed in a room on the first floor and parked right in front in front off our door. We checked in during happy hour and was invited to various snacks, wine and beer. We sat outside on the beach themed patio. The atmosphere was perfect. The rooms are just the right-sized and complete with amenities needed for a home away from home. The rooms are meticulously decorated and ver, very clean. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the price is right. Breakfast is included and they spare no expense. Everything you need for a complete breakfast was made available. I loved the mimosa. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This establishment exceeded my expectations. A bed & breakfast disguised as a motel!!! We needed a place to stay for polar bear plunge weekend. We had specific criteria: (1) we needed 2 rooms next to each other; and (2) we needed to be able to shower after the plunge. Every hotel we checked was expensive, and late checkout wasn't an option. The Ocean Glass checked our mandatory criteria and more! They called us to let us know our room was ready (earlier than standard check in time). There was a complimentary reception the day of arrival (happy hour in the beautifully decorated "lounge"); breakfast was included the next morning (even mimosas if you wanted); and late checkout was included. From the outside, it's a motel that has been refaced. Clean and neat, but still a motel. However, when you open the door to your room, you enter a retreat. There isn't a detail that hasn't been thought of. The rustic decor is beautiful and no detail has been overlooked. It was sparkling clean and very welcoming. Incredible touches included polar bear custom dipped cookies to recognize the plungers and Candy Kitchen salt water taffy along with a handwritten welcome note from the housekeeping staff. Water bottles, coffee pods and a Keurig machine were provided as well. The decor was welcoming complete with a beautiful throw, decorative pillows and a combination of rustic and seashore inspired decor. All of the toiletries were top quality and plentiful -- facial wipes; shower cap; glycerin soap; facial soap; body soap; body wash; shampoo; conditioner; body lotion. The General Manager, Erin, was very nice -- welcoming and ready to assist. She was a wonderful hostess at both the reception and breakfast. I loved my stay here. It's walking distance from the beach. It's about a mile away from the boardwalk but it doesn't feel like it because you're walking through all of the cute boutique and restaurants Rehoboth has to offer. Everyone working here was super nice and catered to my needs. They even offer beach chairs, towels and coolers for me to take to the beach. They had breakfast and an afternoon event where you can have drinks and mingle with other guest. The room was overall clean and it just felt like home. My boyfriend and I had scheduled a cruise for the second week in March, but because of the approaching pandemic, we decided to cancel our cruise and do a road trip. My boyfriend chose Ocean Glass Inn because he knows I like beach glass. We were a little hesitant because this was a last-minute trip, and no planning was involved, but it was one of our best trips ever. The hotel was immaculate and decorated beautifully. Margarit and Lindsay were the most wonderful people we've ever met on vacation. They went out of their way every step of the way! There was always coffee and tea available, breakfast in the morning, wine and cheese in the afternoon, and smiles everywhere. We stayed at the Ocean Glass Inn for 2 nights. Everything was just perfect. The rooms are remodeled so cute and comfortable. The air condition worked great. Bed was comfortable and shower worked great. It's nice to have your vehicle right outside our door if we needed something from the car. There is so much to do in the area you could never get bored. We will definitely use this hotel again when we stay in Rehoboth beach area. The coffee offered in the room was very good and they also had coffee in the office in the morning. read more

I couldn't have booked a better place! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They all went above and beyond to make this weekend happen. I was traveling from Phoenix, Arizona to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to meet my mother and drive down to Rehoboth beach Delaware for a way over due late mother's day weekend in September. I almost wasn't sure if I would make the flight in time to book the room to have the key the night I flew in. Nancy at the front desk made it happen. A seem-less transaction of getting my key after hours. After arriving to the quant little charming inn we were overwhelmed by the extreme details to our room. The next morning we had a lovely breakfast provided by the inn, chatted with Nancy and met Margaret who was laying out the breakfast. Both were delightful. Our last day we went back for breakfast and met Lindsey and Jodi who were at the front desk and laying out breakfast. Both were equally as charming as the ladies the day before. All and all couldn't have picked a more charming little inn with great service and amenities. Loved that they provided breakfast and beach towels. Can't wait to go back. Good location but the hot water heater was broke the whole time so was not able to take a nice shower after the beach. I'm personally a neat freak and when I opened my comforter to my sheets I found a couple of brown hairs which grossed me out. We ended up leaving at midnight and driving home because we were not pleased at all. We tried getting in contact with the owner more than 4 times and never got a call back. So we paid almost 300 dollars a night and didn't end up staying and was dissatisfied. Would pay more for a nicer place closer to beach instead of trying to go cheaper next time. read more
