Ocean Isle has two beach services during the summer months. They both meet at 8:30, so it can be a bit confusing. Do your HW before attending. One, held on the west side of the island, is held by Shallotte Presbyterian Church. It needs to be mentioned that this is a PCUSA. And is it ever! My family has attended this one for years, as the messages were relatively predicable, being Bible centered in nature. In the post covid years, there was a significant shift away from the gospel to social issues. The pro LGBTQ+, pro women's lib, social gospel, pro tolerance of all things messaging was on full display. We finally had enough. This year we attended the Ocean Isle Beach Chapel beach service held close to the pier. There was no wasted time. The speaker was introduced and proceeded to preach for almost 45 minutes. He was a passionate and competent speaker who preached Jesus as our greatest need, and even closed with an alter call. It was apparent that he was a conservative on social issues.
