Carmel greeted me right at the door and was so friendly and accommodating! If you park in the lot, she will validate your parking ticket for you. Doctor Monica spent over an hour with me for a consultation and adjustment. We spoke in depth about my pain and concerns, and then she explained what she believed we needed to work on. She said she really focuses on muscle therapy, in addition to adjustment, which has already made a world of difference after one visit. I've been dealing with a shoulder injury for 8 years, and it has recently worsened. After one session with her, I am feeling much better. I then had a massage with Alicia, and it complimented my adjustment perfectly! I've never had a professional massage focus time on my head and feet, and it felt so nice! Important to point out, the practice is currently only accepting BCBS insurance. I'm fortunate to have that so I only have a co-pay for the adjustment and massage, but if you don't have BCBS, the massage would be $80, and I'm not sure the cost of the adjustment. Also worth noting is that the office space is so nice! It's clean, modern, inviting, and has spa vibe to it, as opposed to a medical office. Finally, it's located in Gaslight Village, so after my appointment, I ventured to Starbucks for a coffee and to read my book. Great day!

However, after an auto accident with whiplash in 2020...Dr. Angel assured me the whiplash would go away with consistency ...and it did. Between the medical massages, X-rays to watch improvement, and every chiropractor session he would genuinely want to know what was bothering me each session, and then would check every body point from feet to neck for alignment with paying extra attention on the issue that kept me up at night. After 6 weeks, I never felt so good. The entire staff felt like family! To get to this point, you need to be consistent and follow his directions. Recently, I had a strange throat clicking and a 'Stone' stuck in my saliva glands. I called Dr. Angel up after not being in his office for a year (due to feeling better), and asked if he could help me after two ER visits and two primary care visits. Instantly, he said come on in. He took the time to examine me in a private room, did X-rays to make sure it wasn't a tumor or abscess, and told me a couple of sessions would fix the issue. He was exactly right. Please know, when you choose this chiropractor office...they consider you like family. He takes his profession seriously and aims to help you. Each session is personalized. Yes, it's a business. But I trust him with my life!

What a blessing in disguise. She spent plenty of time listening and evaluating as she began treatment. All I can say is "Wow!" It almost felt like a miracle for I've never had an adjustment plus and in a couple of hours say I feel 100%. But that is exactly what happened. I couldn't sleep before because of the discomfort, but in that one session I had no discomfort anymore. I would definitely recommend Dr. Byrne's office and Dr. Laura Grimm. I live in Florida most of the time, but when I'm in Michigan I will make this an annual trek to get my body tuned back into shape. I'm amazed.

Maybe she thought I was sleeping so she didn't think she really had to massage. Whatever the case she was clearly just going through the motions.
