Dig the chilled sake presentation here
    Tom B.

In short Gorgeous inside, service is very charming and attentive, and they make the most of every detail with the food. In long Deceptively bland location just north of Thrasher's Corner. Kind of a heap of strip malls for a couple blocks in every direction (and the same thing happens again a mile north, with even more shopping). Inside, though, you settle into a quiet, welcoming, immaculate setting. The hostess today was wonderfully friendly and focused; she was pulling double duty as a busser and server between lunch and dinner rushes. She sat me right away. The floors are polished concrete, which can be a bit slick with wet shoes, but looks nice and is perfectly clean. Nice dark wood walls and furniture, with black curtains hanging here and there to separate spaces, absorb noise, and settle the vibe. There are a few cooked options, including teriyaki and roasted/grilled finfish. Lots of nice options for the kids. The drinks list spends more time on beer and wine than it does on sake, but the sake I got was lovely. They put in a small decanter with room for ice cubes, nicely separated from the sake so it gets cold without getting watered down. Dig it! It's like a tiny bong your grandma would have thought was pretty. Seaweed salad Gorgeous presentation with extra lettuce building up the plate so it's ready for prime time. Cheap and easy way to make a very-common appetizer seem like it has some panache to it. Miso soup A bit more tart than I'm used to, possibly from the wide-leaf seaweed they added. I gobbled up every drop for sure. Sashimi I got the 12-piece and they really timed it to when I was done with soup and salad. Beautifully presented with cukes, shredded daikon, little cucumber cups for ginger and wasabi, and other vegetable flourishes around the plate. Just spectacular visually. The fish itself was wonderfully soft and buttery. Next time I think I'll say no superwhite; that's one of the very few things I avoid at sushi places, but it was tasty this one time and it's certainly something lots of people love, so it makes sense to include it if you don't say anything. Overall there's not a single other thing I'd change about this place, except maybe to move it closer to my house.

Sushi boat - pure heaven! This is the Queen Anne roll, Dragon roll and Vela... (spell?!) roll

From start to finish this sushi restaurant is AMAZING! The atmosphere is romantic, fun, beautiful and the music is perfect! The service was top notch! Staff was kind, friendly, engaging, and checking on us just the right amount. The sushi was absolutely mouth watering delicious! I absolutely reccomend this wonderful place!

I would probably not come back. The service was great but sushi was just ok/ not super fresh (they do have great presentation though) and the shrimp tempura udon was too salty and 'gingery' (too much ginger) :(

Fun presentation! Yummy sushi but rolls did not stand out. Calamari was also just okay. Friendly service. Large restaurant with decent amount of seating. Casual/ dim ambiance :)

Lava roll. 1/5 spice level. So delicious

What a gem! Stopped by for a quick bite after a long day and was pleasantly greeted with friendly servers, a comfortable atmosphere and delicious food. The chicken udon soup was so full of veggies and the broth was delicious. Next time I'll omit the udon noodles and enjoy a chicken veggie soup

Do you offer dine-in at the moment for 6 people party?

Yes. They have dine-in, but cannot eat at sushi bar.

    Do they serve liquor?

    Yes

    Is there AYCE here?

No one should eat AYCE "all you can eat", but if you do, this is not the place to go as they do not.

Solid offering. Plenty of different sauces to season to taste. We started with the American Salt and Pepper corn. That was my favorite dish of the meal - a tasty and fun offering. Nice to have something a little different and this one delivered. Spicy and savory. Loved it. We also ordered the yellow curry with chicken. It was good - flavorful and filling. Next up was the Singapore noodles. They were ok but somewhat lacking in "pop" vs. what you might get in a dedicated Chinese restaurant. The last item was the Black Pepper beef. Good but a little bland as well. If I come back I'll definitely order the Salt and Pepper Corn again and explore more of the Indian inspired dishes. I get the feeling that they are stronger in that department vs. the Chinese influenced offerings. The waitstaff was very good - kudos for taking care of us.

Unjustified service charge. We were a party of 5. Your own policy adds a mandatory service charge for parties of 6 or more. We were still charged 20% automatically , then handed a tip prompt suggesting another 20%+ on top. That's not a policy, that's a shakedown. We were overcharged. My physical bill read $205. My bank notification said $215. When I went back to question it, staff kept pointing me to a digital bill that showed a different amount than what I had in hand. After pushing back, they acknowledged the discrepancy and offered my mom and me $10 InChin gift cards each as resolution. The gift cards were a trap. They came with a 10-day expiration. I live my life , I can't guarantee I'll return within 10 days, especially after this experience. So that $10 "resolution" is money I'll never see again. I was charged $10 extra AND a service charge I shouldn't have paid. This wasn't a mistake. Mistakes get fixed transparently. This was a string of decisions that benefited the restaurant at the customer's expense and when caught, the "fix" was designed to keep the money anyway. I've recommended this place to friends and family for years. That stops now.

Delivery review In…read moreshort We finally started to satisfy our craving for kimchi fried rice, and theirs is excellent, as is the soup. A little expensive, but they have good specials. You really taste the spice if you ask for it. In long We've been talking about kimchi fried rice for 3 weeks, and finally got an order in. We're trying to cook at home more these days, but we opened the app and we were total suckers for the special. It was just a few bucks off, but when we built the order, it was 2-for-1, so we have an awesome pile of leftovers now. Showed up fast, still plenty hot. Kimchi fried rice Awesome chewy texture, great spicy tart kimchi flavor, savory fried egg on top with extra seasoning just on the egg. We got our 2-for-1 on the rice, and the portion is pretty big, so we will get at least 4 servings out of this. Tofu mushroom soup Ordered 4 stars, and there's actual noticeable kick to it, which not every place does. Excellent flavors. For $25, 2 little cups doesn't seem like much, so if I see that 2-for-1 again I might put it in on the soup instead of the rice. We're trying to think of delivery these days as a rare treat, and this place more than met the mark. We had a dozen other dishes in the cart before we could make up our minds, too. The whole menu here looks great.

The best thing to get here if you have a larger group of three to five people is the combo meals which include a variety of entrees with the side dishes that can fill you up. Wondering if the food was a fluke on our first visit we returned and oh boy, did these guys drop…read morethe ball. The food here is good and worth the drive if you are in the county, but I am dropping my review to 3 stars based on all the issues between both visits. On this visit, we came for dinner. Dinner specials are about 20% more than lunch. You certainly expect a larger portion and, in most cases, the dinners include an egg roll or BBQ pork or something to round out the meal. That was not the case here. Nope, this was just soup entrée and rice and the portion was not larger than the lunch portion. That was the first issue. The second was not having out water refilled, AGAIN. When we asked for water, the woman had an attitude and the customer waiting for his take out said, You, can grab a carafe from the cooler. I had seen them, but not only was one never offered to us, it should have been placed on the table for dine in. A reviewer called the Almond chicken weird. It's not weird, they just use the same process as the sweet and sour chicken instead or pounding out a breast. I've had it this way a few times and actually like it. Each piece is about the size of a Starbursts, but once battered, it puffs up to a fun size Snickers bar. The advantage is a fully coated, crisp piece of chicken. The downside is it's an illusion. It makes a small portion of chicken look like a full-size portion. That said, the chicken was good, well seasoned, battered and cooked perfectly. That same take out customer asked for hot oil, the same thing I asked for on my first trip, the lady reached down and grabbed him a tiny cup. Yes, the same thing we were told they don't have on our first trip. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON HERE! The final issue was the soup. As mentioned in my initial review, the hot and sour was really good, but when I asked about another cup, I was told I had to buy another lunch. So this time, based on reviews, I tried the wonton soup. It was about $7 and it was in the same size cup as the lunch soup, so maybe 10 oz or even 8. It was packed with 4 wontons, it also had bamboo and carrots and another vegetable that may have been zucchini It was good, but not as good as the hot and sour and not worth the price. This is a $3 cup of soup, not a bowl, either lower the price or increase the portion. The food is an A, but the service is an F. They are inconsistent and since we have been the only dine in customer's on both trips, I guess all your take out people have a different experience. If this place was in our neighborhood, we would get take out, not dine in and we would be selective about what we order. I think the food is 5 star, but everything else is an issue. When you can't trust the people serving you, it's hard to fall in love with a place.

I recommend that you call them directly or walk in for takeout because those prices are much better than DoorDash or Uber eats will give you. This is a small family run establishment with excellent quality, food and customer service. Everyone I interacted with yesterday was extremely helpful and friendly. I was surprised that in this day and age their prices were still very good. I was just there to order takeout lunch for my husband and myself. I ordered the Seattle Roll, a spicy tuna roll, chicken and tempura combo, and an extra salad since the chicken entree came with a salad. I was not prepared for how much food I would receive! When I brought it home, my husband and I both laughed because we had so much food that there was no way we could eat it all. Not complaining! It was great! The tempura was easily the best I've had in the area. Perfectly done. The chicken teriyaki was perfect as well. The spicy tuna roll was excellent. The Seattle roll was really good, but did come with smoked salmon as advertised so patrons should be aware of that - you do taste the smoke. The salad was shredded cabbage with a delicious light dressing. This is hands down the best overall sushi/teriyaki place for take out in the Town Center in my opinion. For about $50, we got a TON of food that was really fresh and delicious. On top of that, this restaurant is impeccably clean and the staff pay attention to detail and care about their patrons. Our to go order was packaged up carefully and thoughtfully. I wholeheartedly recommend supporting this family and their amazing restaurant.

In long We've been meaning to try it forever and finally dragged our carcasses in here when we were coming back from an afternoon up north. Quiet Sunday night on Thanksgiving weekend, and we scored perfect parking and got a table instantly. So we're already in a great mood, right? It's a shoebox-shaped room with a few extra tables in one corner. Newish strip mall construction. You can come in from either end, which I would not have guessed. It's sparkling clean and well lit with some nice warmth to the lighting. Big flatscreens behind the sushi bar, probably tuned to the ballgame or the news or something. The menu feels comfortingly familiar. The usual apps, solid list of sashimi, lots of classic rolls and then a couple full pages of specialty rolls. Matcha for later. So far you don't feel like you're in crazy territory, though they do list hamachi collar as an all-the-time hot dish, which is cool. So many places run out of it right away and list it only as a special, but not here. The sake list is just enough--a couple of each type, some solid and reasonably-priced house options, a couple really nice picks. You get your sake right away and the miso doesn't take much longer. The takoyaki was delicious and beautiful. Lots of garnish, boiling hot, great flavor. Nice tako bits in there, lots of creamy filling. They garnish the seaweed salad with daikon and load it with cucumber. More places should do both of these things. The cucumber in particular enhanced the flavor a ton. Once the rolls showed up, things got better and better. The Love Hunter and the Amazing were both fantastic. Great combinations of flavors and textures, generously portioned and topped. We got some classic taki too, and that was a great contrast. I love it so much when places nail the classics and the modern. I got the deluxe sashimi dinner. For $36 this is such a value. The hamachi and the other tuna were both super buttery, the salmon had tons of flavor, and there were a couple other nice fish on the plate as well. It's great when you find a place you're super happy you tried, but this immediately goes into the rotation as an any-night sushi spot. Affordable enough you don't have to wait for a special occasion! Dig this place hard.

It is a smaller restaurant so it may be a good idea to call before going in for the dinner rush. I went on a solo outing here for lunch and was surprised that they have an all day happy hour for most of their operating days (excluding holidays). The happy hour offered a great selection of apps and a good selection of rolls! I opted to try the smokey roll which was on the happy hour menu. This roll featured smoked salmon on top which was very tasty. I also ordered the deluxe salmon roll which was also very good! I recommend requesting a side of spicy mayo for the smokey roll. Overall, I was super happy for both of my rolls and the price was not too bad for high quality sushi!
