The beer was good but the bartender kept leaving to go take a smoke out the door directly in front of the bar and tables with some other people which was propped open when it was 20 degrees out. This probably wouldn't be a huge deal if it was nice outside but I prefer to not be freezing inside in the winter and have to smell cigarette smoke when I want to be sipping and enjoying my IPA. I was here earlier today for a pre July 4th celebration. Needless to say our bartender was less than celebratory. "What do you want." "Go get your glasses" " give me the cards" - I've been standing patiently seeing well there was only one person at the bar tending to the patrons as well as to go. - what was the point of having a tab if you want me to go get my card to give it to you again? - isn't it your job to clean up the glasses? I realize that this place is Mecca for all Hopheads, but I can't go five stars for that fact alone. The selection at Ocelot is IPA heavy, and if this is your thing, this is the place for you. There is no denying that this is a great brewery, but even when I wasn't drinking an IPA, I felt that I was still getting bit of hoppy flavor. I mean the have a ceramic hops behind the bar, so you pretty much know that you are in for a hoppy good time at Ocelot. One of my favorite breweries in the DMV. They have a great selection of fresh beers and have a great tap room with tons of open space for large parties. There are also usually food trucks outside serving tasty food. Often times the trade is between good beer or a good environment. Ocelot is one of the few rare examples of having great beer and a great tap room. The beer here has a solid rendition of most popular styles so there is something for everyone. There are also numerous IPAs and double IPAs for the hop heads out there. As a very critical beer drinker, I can personally attest to the fact that they have some solid IPAs. Also recently I drank a bottle of their bourbon barrel aged Russian imperial stout I picked up straight out of the brewery a few months ago. It was pretty damn tasty. One of the best barrel aged beers I've ever had. I highly recommend grabbing a crew of 5-6 people and safely driving up to visit ocelot to enjoy great beer in a great environment. Hurry up. The space here is wonderful. It's located in an industrial park and they have indoor and outdoor seating. The deck is small but it's placed in a spot that gets sun and if you can't find a seat, the railings have enough space for you to put your beer and stand. The beer selection has something for everyone. From IPAs to coffee stouts. My favorites are Guilty and Schizophrenia. If you can't decide on what you want, you can order a flight of 6 beers and try everything! They also had a food truck when we went on Saturday but warning, if you come early, bring your own snacks. The food truck didn't show up til around 3pm and we were starving by then. read more

I had a great time at this brewery and enjoyed all the craft beers that we tried. As you enter, you see beautiful twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling, and a lot of beer garden type bench seating with beer barrels as table support. There's also a patio in the back which could be great for summer and a french food truck in case you get the munchies, as Ocelot does not make food in house. This brewery has a great mix of malty, hoppy, and sour beers. I ordered the hourglass body which was a smooth and creamy beer. It's a bit heavy and starts off with a coffee like flavor and ends with a smoky taste. Although I liked it, I would try the sample first. Samples are only $2, half pints are $3, and full pints are $6, which I think is great pricing. We also tried "Guilty", which was a Lager and probably my favorite, and "Elizabeth my dear," which was more bitter but all were great! Finally I ordered "Feel the Break," which originates from Amarillo so I was just curious. It was another favorite from the list of beers that we tried. Amazing brewery in Loudoun County just off of Old Ox Road across from the fence of Dulles Airport and that car auction place (Loudoun Valley Estates). My friend had her hubby's 50th birthday celebration at this joint this past Saturday, March 11, and it was a successful event of about 50-60 well-wishers in attendance. Best part, we were able to secure that long table for our group to spread out party favors, food & snacks, from 4p to 8pm. Thank you Ocelot's Graham and bar manager Nick for such refreshing welcome and accommodations! Realizing it was going to be very busy, planning was imminent- we opened just 1 tab for our party which turned out to be great so it did not overwhelm the tenders! The staff was amazing and a special shoutout to Nick for his excellent management and to Ocelot for the awesome beers! I mainly ordered Elizabeth and a small glass of the pilsner, both very refreshingly good! Nevertheless, the birthday guy was super happy with the big turn out and most importantly, his favorite beer brewery! He practically lives at Ocelot, err, most weekends! Awesome beers. Had the "monkeys on a train and "sleepless dreams. Have to say the Moat was the best. Noticed the cool wall and they have a popcorn maker. Unlimited popcorn folks that right there makes it a winner. Only thing is bar tenders (both) were to busy watching a move on the big screen and talking to other patrons to help us. This is a great place to hang out with friends and family. Based on what I saw they allow kids, dogs, and you can bring your own food. I came here with my boyfriend for the brewery's Oktober Fest, so there were a few food trucks and vendors there as well. I did not drink, but my boyfriend did and he seemed to enjoy the beer there. He tried the witching hour (a new seasonal beer) and one other, I don't recall the name of the other one. Inside the brewery is quite large with plenty of seating and it has an arcade room which is pretty cool. If you're looking to try some new, local beer I recommend trying this one. The bartender was very attentive and the beer was excellent. If you like 90s music you'll like the ambiance of this brewery. Each time I visited they were playing a great selection of 90s music. If you like classic rock and hazy IPAs, this place is heaven. Been to every brewery in Loudoun County, and this place is my favorite.

Used to be my absolute favorite brewery, I've been coming here since the soft launch (I played xbox golf at the bar one night with everyone behind the bar!) and definitely was worth a long drive (case in point tonight drove 45m) but they made some changes that make it less appealing. They got rid of flights so you can only have two samples, there are only 6 beers of theirs you can buy in a growler (now that's just painful when you try a beer but can't get a growler at a brewery) unlike before when you could get any of their beers in a growler, nothing on nitro tonight (the old nitro chalk board listed beers in the can and nothing on the menu sadly) , and the food trucks are just phoning it and stop taking orders at 8 (it's a brewery guys expect to take orders closer to closing or don't work breweries). And the place was sadly dead, 6 months ago you couldn't find a place to sit, tonight the bar was almost empty. So guys please undo these changes I want my old brewery to crush it like the old days! Near Dulles airport this brewery like its NoVa peers has something for everyone. I tend to like the heavy hitters and they have a full line up of Imperial Stouts, Wee Heavies, and Porters. I had the "undamaged" nitro stout, which was smooth, but packed a toasted malt flavor punch. Also went with the "gravity always wins" wee heavy ale. It's a tad sweet, but very good. Tap tenders take care of business. Meaning they make sure your glass is full without pestering you. Atmosphere is laid back with GD bears on the wall and an ode to Pink Floyd. Small place in the outskirts of Chantilly, but the beer was quite good. About 8 IPAs and 8ish stout/dark beers. Plus another 3-4 Others on tap. IPAs were very good, but the French Toast stout was decadently delicious. Di NOT taste like maple or sweet or french toast, tho I swear it was buttery goodness. And 11% or so. Good choice but not my favorite. Their beers are pretty solid. The inside is huge and also allows dogs inside. When we were there the music was blasting so loud inside that it was hard to have a conversation. We opted to sit outside on their patio which had a couple picnic tables. It isn't a huge outdoor space and is also shared with where smokers put their butts out which wasn't the most pleasant when you were sitting there. Also, they don't offer any food options so either bring something or there is a kabob place right around the corner that we ordered food from and was delicious. read more

This place is great. Only three beers on tap right now, but they only opened a few weeks ago. The staff is fantastic and super friendly. There is amble seating and large tables for larger groups. My favorite part is that they are dog friendly (kid friendly too, if that's your thing). They offer one or two beers on nitro at any given time. I'm excited for their sour beer! read more

Went here to watch some football (honestly didn't know it was a WVU bar) but they put another game on for us! I loved the vibes here, not to mention the pizza food truck that was there was icing on the cake to some good beer. They don't give an actual flight, and let you buy two tasters at a time. It's not too bad since it lets you keep track of what beers you're taking back to your seat with you. It wasn't too busy when we go there, but towards Saturday evening it started to fill up a little bit. There's a side that has games and a few games at the back. The bartenders were so helpful and nice. Dogs are allowed which is awesome since I just got a puppy who id love to take with me during the cold season!! But the craft space is expanding fast (and some saying getting crowded), and just because it is craft does not make it good. I need the experience, the vibe, the whole deal. And few places deliver like this. Want to talk to the owner BAM!, there. Bring a group, NO PROBLEM !, boring same food, NO WAY! . The point is , I feel incredibly welcome here, unlike some others in the area. this is an experience, not in the contrived sort of way , but a wholesome, common interest, everybody is your friend kind of way. I was looking for a cool place to host a surprise party with our large group of friends here and it was for the most part a success. Pros: The inside has a warehouse industrial feel with a good amount of space. Its very laid back and a cute little spot to hang out with your friends and family. The parking is easy and directions to getting there are fairly simple as well. As far as the selection of beers go, there were a ton of choices with fun names and the staff there are very amicable and friendly. The majority of us decided to go with their reasonably priced flights and got to try a little bit of everything. Cons: The downside to our day at Ocelot was we specifically chose that time and day for the food truck that was said to be there on their website calendar. Much to our dismay when we arrived, around 3 we were told the food truck wouldn't open up till 5. We were absolutely starving so I had to go to the nearest grocery store because they don't have a food menu at the brewery, to get us some snacks in the middle of the party. I hope that in the future they specify what times the food truck will be open rather than saying "ALL - DAY" which is frustrating if we are planning our day's worth of activities to a set schedule. Next time I'll bring snacks in case or won't come hungry at all because otherwise this is a nice find in the DMV read more

This brewery is very new. It is kid friendly - lots running around. The bartenders are great. We went on a Sunday and they have a BBQ buffet as well. Just an FYI - other than cole slow and collared greens, nothing is vegetarian. Not even the mac and cheese. The beers are delicious. They have tons on tap. We got the flight and pours and were pleased with most of them. The sweet dark beers were not our favorite. They have TV's so great place to watch the games. I would definitely be back. And there are other breweries in the area to hop around. read more
