I had lower back pain for about 3-4 years. I had accepted the fact that I'd have back pain for the rest of my life and that it would hinder the very things I'm passionate about, i.e., powerlifting, etc. I heard about Dr. Counts through a gym she was affiliated with, and I immediately reached out to her about scheduling a consultation. Last November, during my gym's "Gainsgiving" event, is when I first met Toni. I had been experiencing some reoccurring hip pain from my training regimen and after reaching out to her for help, we sat down for a consultation. She connected me with Eva for an examination. From the start, Eva impressed me with her thoroughness and willingness to understand my training goals and schedule. She went so far as to even verify with my trainer, Beau Bibb at Proverb Fitness, that her treatment plan would not hinder my progress, but instead, support me overall. Once we got started on her treatment plan, the pain I had be plagued with daily for some time was eliminated. I also gained a better understanding as to how I could protect myself with proper movement techniques and other measures to ensure that I remained pain free. I just completed a GA state competition which, due to Eva's help and expertise, I was able to set SC state powerlifting records with very minimal impact or lasting pain. I highly recommend Dr. Toni and OTB PT! After years of ballet, weight lifting and other sports my right shoulder was very painful when taking yoga classes. I had a lot of pain and mobility issues. I signed up for 12 sessions with Dr. Toni and through the process of exercise, massage and dry needling my shoulder is so much better! I have no problems performing side plank and other advanced yoga postures. I signed up for an additional 12 sessions and we have added in some leg and knee strengthening exercises. I was lucky to be playing on a team with Dr. Toni when I dislocated a bone in my wrist while playing ultimate frisbee. She was able to relocate it on the spot and gave me some exercises to rehab it properly at home after the incident. The pain subsided after only a short time using the exercises she gave me and she checked in with me attentively for several weeks to be sure that I was healing up and that I didn't need further care!
