This was our first time trying rolled ice cream and it was delicious! They also serve milk teas and boba which looked yummy too! They have a kiosk you can order from or a counter service option as well. Decoration is modern with lots of natural colors and elements like plants. They had board games and books available for customers as well! My only qualm (which is really only relevant to a small percentage of people) is that a lot of their ice cream flavors have bananas, which I'm allergic to. We love Vextor and anticipated loving this establishment too. However, there were several things that left us disappointed. From entering the store to getting our ice cream, the wait was over 45 minutes. There's a sign saying to "skip the line" at the cash register and order at the kiosk. However, the only line was at the kiosk. It appeared the workers were very busy and overworked and thus not operating the cash register. It made the ordering process verrrrrry slow waiting in the kiosk line. There was no "welcome!" or friendly service or any recognition at all honestly which made me sad, but I tipped none the less. I imagine if this was someone's first time at a rolled ice cream or boba shop, it can be overwhelming and confusing and it's helpful if the workers are friendly and helpful. I'm in here often enough, you'd be surprised I haven't tried a lot of things. I'm a repeat customer almost 2-3x a week and I always get the mango green tea with mango popping pearls. It is to DIE FOR!!!! They also have some little snack food options like steamed dumplings. They have plenty of options for the bubble tea and ice creams. They also have flavors of the week and random flavors they throw in for a limited time. They even have a happy hour where you buy 1 drink, get 1 50% off. I believe it is Monday-Wednesday 2pm-5pm. I remember when OH-ICEE first opened, and I'm still so glad that the business is thriving!! The atmosphere is adorable, with cute plants and plushies inside. They tend to keep music on at the perfect level to sit in here and chat with friends. Honestly, everything on their menu is amazing. The rolled ice cream with toppings is still just as good as when they opened -- and it always tastes so fresh and creamy! Great new rolled ice cream and boba tea spot in Springfield, and (as far as I'm aware of) the first and only one of its kind. As an enthusiast of Asian desserts and drinks, I was pleasantly surprised when this place opened - the offerings are not just tasty, but also authentic. The boba tea is great; we tried the taro and the signature. the signature oh icee bubble tea is made from brewed milk tea, while the taro might be from powder. They have various fruit flavored popping boba options in addition to classic boba (tapioca pearls). There are also multiple sizes for most drinks, and you can adjust the sweetness (it's a good idea to do 50% sugar, bubble tea can be very sweet). The rolled ice cream is where this place really shines. The ice cream is very tasty and skillfully prepared. You can watch them roll the ice cream, it's really entertaining (I felt weird taking a video, but it's the kind of thing you'd take a video of). It takes a while to make proper rolled ice cream - some reviewers complained about how long it takes to get their order. Well, this is why. The fact that it takes some time means they're putting effort into it to get it right. Plus, the menu is really imaginative and intricate. I can't wait to try all the varieties of ice cream. The ambience is cute and low-key, pretty typical of a boba tea shop. Panda themed decorations fill one side of the wall, some of them are actually for sale. Another reviewer commented on the music playing here being inappropriate for children; I'm not sure what was playing for them, but they had k-pop on when we were there. The ice cream is made right in front of you with fresh cream on freezer plates, providing an instantly grammable experience. The bubble tea is also true to form. Newcomers to the drink may be wary because it is not the typical sweet tea enjoyed by Midwesterners, but it is nonetheless worth trying and satisfying. If you're having trouble making a selection, go with the Brown Sugar Milk Tea. The sugar is caramelized before being mixed into the milk tea providing ample sweetness and flavor to the richness of the milk. This place was really disappointing. I love boba and frequent a place in STL so was ecstatic to find a local place. I went in to get Taro tea (instead of ordering online because it wasn't clear if that included boba or not and I really wanted boba!) I went in and if you're paying card you have to pay via a kiosk and the staff effectively ignore you. I wanted to ask if it included boba but they were young ladies on their phones and drinking their own bubble tea. I went to order on the kiosk and when you click on taro tea is shows it with boba so I thought perfect and that's what I ordered. What I got was just taro tea no boba. I asked them where was my boba and they said it doesn't come with boba; it's $1.25 extra. I said nicely that the picture of what I ordered had boba so I would have never known to add any. They said they don't know anything about the kiosk. But that's how you have to order with a card.... I was basically blown off and instead of just adding some they said I could go pay again and add boba and wait. I'm posting again since we have had better experiences recently. Staff are working to improve services. I was happy that they took my recommendations and I definitely see an improvement in the milk teas. Best to order a small size for the right proportions. I was frustrated for paying high prices for what tasted like warm milk. Still getting the orders wrong almost each time. ( ie missing bobba). I am clear about the order, so person taking the order either doesn't care, is in a hurry or is not listening. I love this local business but you've got to do better. Husband and I and two kids were in the area for one of the kids' doctor's appointment and decided to go to Vietnamese for lunch. This place is right next to Miss Saigon. Being a boba tea fanatic (yes I would have it everyday if I could!) and deprived of it where we live, I immediately decided to go there after lunch. The shop is very clean, and the decor very pleasant and welcoming. There was only one person working when we got there, it being the sleek season, but she was very friendly and nice to my kids. We ordered a roll-up ice cream (chocolate party), one brown sugar bubble tea, and one taro Bubble milk tea. The roll-up ice cream was so prettily made! I forgot to take a picture before digging in (blaming my kids for it lol), but it was both nice to the eyes and to the taste. 5 something might sound expensive for ice cream, but you get a ton, and it's definitely comparable to one of those frozen yogurt or ice cream parlors. My bubble tea was so good that my older son wanted his own after tasting mine. So I got him one. Husband liked his taro one too. The brown sugar bubble tea also looks nice when it was first made, but I didn't take a picture until I finished eating the ice cream, so the picture didn't do the tea justice. In all, this is a really nice place to come have dessert or hang out with family, or both. I don't know why it got some negative reviews, and for those people that say it's overly-priced: have you been to a boba place before? All of them are about the same price or more. Oh Icee is a place where you get to watch a skilled roll-maker custom create your dessert. Using fresh ingredients, the artist chops, blends, a freezes the ingredients, creating a thin sheet of frozen delight. Then he or she scrapes up five uniform rolls, puts them in a cup, and tops it off to complete your chosen treat. For those that are complaining about their orders being passed up, it's likely ur getting rolled ice cream vs the drinks and the ice cream/crepes. Rolled ice cream takes longer time to prepare as they have to "hand roll" them. I usually get crepes with ice cream, which is faster and taste way better. The ice cream aren't "hand rolled" so it comes out way quicker. Overall I would rate this 5 stars for their amazing crepes!!!! read more

For a place like this, people in Springfield, IL do not have know how lucky they are to have such luxury for dessert. The people running the store have dedicated so much to the design of each ice cream to make the flavor and presentation perfect. Springfield finally has a bubble tea place! Great variety of bubble teas with perfect flavor, not too sweet. My favorite is the Taro :) Also have a variety of rolled ice cream which are outstanding - they make it right in front of you. I went here with my mom a couple months after it opened and I don't think I'll ever go back. This was my second experience with rolled ice cream and her first, like others have said on here, there's literally no difference between this and normal ice cream aside from the way it's served and how much more it costs! Mom and I got our own ice creams and we decided to split one bubble tea because we wanted to try it. I believe our bill for just those three things was around $16, which is just ridiculous when you compare it to other ice cream stores! The store wasn't particularly busy, most of the people there were already eating or had eaten, but we waited about 20 minutes, which is a long time considering there was really no one else there, for our order and someone who came in after us even got their order before us! The ice cream was good, but nothing I would move mountains or cross oceans to get to again, and the brown sugar bubble tea was weird, the tea itself was good I guess, but the "bubbles" were slimy and I guess I just don't like chewing my drinks! However, if you must have slimy bubbles in your drinks and you're in the Springfield area, I guess this overpriced place is it for you! Also, while we were there they were playing music from someone's personal playlist or something, I believe it was Spotify, it was blasting out of what looked like a red beats pill. While we were there, some Logic song came on and it was just filled with profanity from the first word, not that it's a huge problem, but I was with my mom which made it awkward for me and there were kids in the store! If you are trying to be a "family friendly" environment that type of stuff should not be played or at lest stick with radio edits/clean versions! The rolled ice cream is delicious and there are a variety of ice cream flavors and drink combinations. Since COVID, masks are required.
