If I could give it a half star or a negative star, I would. If you want to be depressed and sad, go to this cold "pet" store, that is more like a prison. My daughter and I stayed in Paris for 10 days and visited this place at the start of our stay and later towards the end, mainly to see if our impression would change. It did not. The animals are in small cages and are not permitted any interaction with people and are not treated kindly by employees. One young employee was cleaning the glass of the cages and opened the door abruptly scaring the two young pups, making them cringe in terror. He proceeded to spray the glass directly over their little heads with the spray falling on top of them. He never comforted them or had a kind word. When I asked if I could hold them, he said NO! Apparently no one is permitted to hold the animals, even prospective buyers. How bizarre! Some of the pups are not in very good condition, with some having skin conditions and another we observed with a large lump on its flank. They are unregistered and appear to be products of puppy mills. They are asking miinimum 950 Euros for an unregistered min-pin, and the prices go as high as 1750 Euros. The second time we visited the store, there were four other people looking at the pups, but they were not greeted by staff (neither were we) or assisted in any way. People were standing back, just looking. During both visits, the pups mostly slept, Even those with their eyes open looked groggy. One of the employees asked us to move aside and opened the cage to the min-pins which were the only ones out of the 8 or so cages full of dogs that were awake. She reached in and grabbed them roughly and proceeded to put a paste in their mouth and then slammed the door. Tranquilizer perhaps? II don't understand how these poor unhealthy, unsocialized dogs are supposed to get into homes with the outrageous prices and strange conditions. If I could have taken the desperate min-pins back to Canada I would, but with a price tag of $3000.00 CDN plus shipping, I had to walk away. I never saw one purchase happen during either of my visits. I wonder WHAT HAPPENS TO THESE DOGS WHEN THEY DON'T SELL? This is so unlike any pet shop I have ever seen before, I can't believe they haven't been shut down. They seriously need to be investigated!! read more
