My husband ordered the tonkatshu ramen with chashu and added spicy tuna roll, while I ordered the Hungry Roll with a side of seaweed salad, Three items out of four came out fairly quickly, within 15 minutes, my Hungry roll took nearly 30 minutes but I think it's because it has baked salmon as an ingredient. It was SO scrumptious! Worth the wait! The tonkotsu broth and noodles of the ramen were flavorful and the chashu was cooked perfectly, not too fatty. We'll be back! Highly recommend! read more

I came to this Oji Sushi & Sake Bar location and have been a frequent customer of the Oji location in Montebello. This Pasadena location has significantly less foot traffic than the Montebello location which you can expect to wait at least 30 minutes to be seated during peak times. I was instantly seated at this location and enjoyed the ambience and warm lighting. Whenever I order at the Montebello location I order the house salad. To my surprise, the Pasadena house salad is extremely different from the dressing, to toppings, and size. I would come back to enjoy some of the classic rolls which I love at ojis at the Asian fries. However, I will stick to ordering my house salad at the Montebello location. The Pinot Grigio was lovely as well and paired nicely with what we ordered. read more

2/28/26 1st timer at this spot came with Brother in law & kids(2) and One of my good friends . Came in for late lunch about 1:30pm. Wasn't crowded at all and we were greeted & sat immediately. Got a pitcher of beer and some hot sake to start for adults / soda for kiddos. We ordered our rolls and they came out pretty quick. I got the angry tail and Superman burrito (see pics) Everything was delicious and very fresh. We all enjoyed our sushi very much. Prices were a bit higher I noticed but all in all very good sushi. With all the good reviews, I guess I was expecting better sushi. We went during happy hour, which is between 3-5pm everyday. The happy hour prices for beer is excellent at only $1 each, but you can only order 2 per person during that time. There is also a little discount on some of their rolls. We got the Spicy Tuna Roll and the Salmon Roll. Both were very average. I would give those rolls a 3 star. We also got Rainbow Roll, which was the best of all the 3 rolls we ate. I'm only giving it 4 stars for the nice service and the cheap beer. Otherwise, I would say the sushi itself is closer to 3 stars as far as quality. We probably won't go back here again. read more

I did a quick lunch pick up from this place. I think the website to order could improve as there isn't a lot of descriptions of what is included in each plate, but I went on a whim and ordered. I saw so many new rolls on the menu that I want to try. We kept it simple and ordered a couple hand rolls and a dragon roll. They used to roll up the hand rolls for you but this time they served it open which was harder to eat. Lots of fish inside but messier.
