Worst service ever. If you don't want to get ripped off and lied to and robbed from your money please go find somewhere else. The worst people inside literally disgusting I go to fix one thing and they fixed a different part that was fully functioning. When I return to confront them about what happen they started acting stupid and getting mad I asked for a refund because they already messed up and they refused and acted like I was in the wrong. Then later on said he will replace it for me at zero cost. Left my car their for 9 hours and he swore he fixed it and said it was ready I asked for receipt but he was tryna act slow and dumb so he wouldn't give me one cause he didn't even fix the part took it to another mechanic to check it out and turns out he even messed it up more. I learnt my lesson not to go their anymore and I wanna save you from experience any of that. They are scammers and liars would never recommend this to anyone god is real and they will be punished for what they've done. read more

I got an estimate from 3 providers and Ok was by far the most affordable. Hassan was very easy going, understood what I wanted and was able to provide me with the best price and accommodate me by allowing me to leave the car with him over the weekend and completing the work over the weekend as well. My car body work was completed and exceeded my expectations with the quality of work and attention to minor scratches that I did not even call out. I am very pleased and plan to bring my wife's car in the future for some detailing work. The shop looks quite basic and appears to be a smaller and family run business. Don't make the mistake of looks fool you...I went to a shop that is part of a chain that I felt I could trust yet they would have charged me more than double for the same work and would not have taken the extra care that Hassan and his team did let alone keep my car inside while I was gone. Got several quotes from 3 different body shops ranging from $700-$1350. This fellow did a fantastic job for $600. My friend had recommended OK Auto Repair & Body as the lowest price, best quality. My experience confirms that too. Very meticulous. They also do repairs. I need an air compressor for my jeep and am willing to go with used parts. He gave me a quote of $450. This is a follow-up review. They have since completed the following: front wheel bearing, front breaks, replace EGR VSV valve. They have done good work for excellent prices. I do recommend that you confirm the cost of the work before you have them start. They did leave my interior door "handle" dirty for the latest work. read more

Excellent work! He provided me with an estimate and the date it would be done. He came in under the estimate and had the car completed on time. I have a Saab (so it is near impossible to find parts now), but he was able to fix the grille when the dealership told me they couldn't find the part. I hope that I don't need any car repairs anytime soon, but the next time I do I will definitely bring the car back to OK Auto Repair and Body. read more

My family has used OK for about 10 years and 4 cars. Mind blowingly cheap pricing... BUT be warned of the overall low quality. Will always use the cheapest parts possible. They installed a manual non-powered side view mirror on someones Acura instead of a normal powered one which I witnessed the customer reject. My replacement muffler sounded like a go cart. My A/C was sometimes warm so he replaced the entire conduit system for $450 only to find that was not the problem at all. Brought it back and he fixed the real problem for another $200. If English is your only language this is a major barrier. Over 10 years and has been little improvement in this regard. Had my brake pads replaced. I ask "did you turn my rotors" he says "yes, brakes". I say "did you machine my rotors". He says "yes I show you" and walks me over and points to my old muffler on the ground. Says "front brakes no good... rear OK". 10 days later my pads were grinding into my rear rotors (squeal indicators never activated for some reason). In any case it was pretty clear he did not properly inspect my brakes. Had to get new rotors. I wish I could give them 5 stars after all these years. Go to Albany Auto Clinic instead. read more

OK Auto used to be THE place to go for our family. They kept my parents' van running for years beyond expectation and were great for a little fix here, a little fix there, and doing it all for insanely low prices. I've now been taking my car to OK for 12 years. Unfortunately, under the new management it's a completely different place, and I will never bring my car here again. My alternator was on the way out (dash light on and car died that morning, but I got it going again), so I headed over to OK Auto. I pulled up at the entrance, walked inside, and for a long few minutes a few guys who were washing a car just stared at me. Finally, the main guy (owner? manager?) gets out of the car being washed to talk to me. At this point I'm sort of wondering if they even do regular repairs anymore because of how awkward this few minutes was. Anyway, he confirms that yes, it's probably the alternator. He said they could fix it, and to come back by 6pm (in addition to fixing a broken trunk latch and the non-working AC). He takes my key but not my name or phone number. I suggest that perhaps he might want my phone number, which I was then instructed to write down in a notebook. He gives me a business card. He'll call if it's done earlier. Probably $200 for the alternator and $50 for the latch. Fine. Off I go. No call, so I come back at 6pm. There's a completely different group of workers there--just two men-- who both seem slightly confused about the fact that I was there to pick up a car. Finally sort that out. Also, in general, just a weird vibe (not that that's really the reason for a low rating, but it did add to me getting out of there as fast as I could). According to the mechanic who worked on my car, there was nothing wrong with the alternator so he just cleaned the battery (even though the alternator was clearly on the way out and my car had DIED that morning). As for the AC, there was a leak, which he found, and pointed out to me by banging a crow bar around under the hood. He hadn't fixed it. He did fix the latch. He tells me all of this several times. So basically, they had my car for the entire day and fixed a trunk latch and cleaned a battery. Back in the golden days of OK Auto, I would have received a phone call with an update on the alternator and a confirmation to proceed with the AC repair and any modified cost. Nope. Nothing. And the only thing that was fixed was the trunk latch. And they charged me $100, which was NOT what I was quoted that morning for the trunk. At this point, between the weird vibe and everything else, my main objective was to get out of there as quickly as possible. I was no more than 50 feet down the alley when the battery light went on again. Guess it wasn't a dirty battery after all. I considered going back, but I realized that the smartest decision would be to go somewhere else and never ever go back there again. Oh, and then a little while later the alternator went out for real, the car completely died, and I was stranded late at night. So thank you, OK Auto, for leaving me in the lurch at 2am, requiring me to get a late night jump from a friend, costing me another day of hassle, and now the inconvenience and cost of a tow to a mechanic who will actually fix my car. Long story short, take your car somewhere else unless you want to pay someone to not fix your car. read more

I went to this shop twice for repairing bumpers and replacing alternator for my engine. Both times were great. They took care of like 4 small dents I had for free and did a great job on the fix. I never found better price than OK Auto for both of my experience, so if you're tight on budget, you should definitely check this place out. read more

I've used OK auto for several years. Every time has been disappointing. They installed a blue side view mirror when I needed it fixed. I have no idea on why they would think anyone would want that over a normal mirror. The next time I needed my front bumper to be popped back in. I waited obnoxiously long for a 2 minute job that they did improperly. They overcharged both times for a crappy job. Never coming back here again read more
