He complimented my wife about her overall dental hygiene - her gum lines were good and there no deep pits by the roots of the teeth. Still he charged 6 units of scaling. This would mean that she was in his care for an hour and a half - that did not happen. During the exam, the dentist wanted to fill two cavities - my wife declined. My wife visited a different dentist yesterday. She was charged for 2 units of scaling. Even more telling - the dentist identified two concerns about cavities; but the dentist put the two cavity concerns on a watch - no immediate action required. I cannot recommend this clinic - my experience is that they are only concerned about how much they can bill. Don't be fooled by their smiles and friendly comments, they are only in it for the money.

They asked what was bothering me and listened to my response. Dr. Petre said he completed my examination and saw 3 problems. He explained and gave his opinion on the urgency. The staff sent paperwork to confirm how much the most urgent problem would cost me. He gave me options on mouth guards. He was kind, engaging, and provided simple solutions. Lisa knew that I was expecting to pay, approximately, $172 out of my pocket for my cleaning. She told me I was taking very good care of my teeth and gums and I didn't have any stains on my teeth, therefore, I could 'skip' the polishing this time if I wanted to. I said 'that's a great idea'. My bill was $122. Thank you Lisa for saving this retired client, living on my pensions, $50! I highly recommend Westside Dental Centre in West Kelowna !! :))

We figured, better to attend to it in the city, rather than the mountains, so called a few dentists in Kelowna, and finally reached Creekside, they were able to get us in to see Dr Colter in less than 2 hours, fix the problem, and send us on our way, in less than 90minutes, from phone call. Dr. Hallet, Krista, Jesse, and Belinda have always been helpful when I have called or been in for an appointment. I can remember having my top wisdom teeth removed and being quite nervous, starting to sweat as I am not a fan of needles. I started to feel lightheaded. After removing the first tooth, Dr. Hallet helped me relax by placing a cool cloth on my forehead and waited a bit until I was ready for the second one. I was relieved to know they could read and understand their patients needs. I am familiar with other dental offices int he area I work, but nothing would take me away from Discover Dental - they are amazing!!
