So we asked for a change and were happily assigned another (smaller) room. Unfortunately the air conditioning did not work. In the third room, the shower leaked so badly that every wash up became a disaster. So for a lovely property, and one where the staff seem particularly efficient and friendly, the engineering department needs to step up its game.

Rooms were clean and cool, nice and cozy although being on some of the higher floors made me a little scared and my little brother managed to drop one of his bouncy balls from the toy machines here off the balcony (i have a fear of heights) being right by the beach is great and the surrounding town was very nice to go out and chill in at the evening. overall amazing place, glad to have came here, was so sad to leave.

The food is good but inall honesty I have noticed it deteriorating from the standard it was at 4 years ago. I always stay all inclusive and I feel it represents good value although the mid afternoon snacks tends to be lunchs leftovers. Four stars, two years ago it would of been five.

I had some issues at the beginning with the reservation ( connected rooms were not really connected) but the staff was made aware and I could change rooms 2 days later. For the troubled start we got fruits on the room. The gym and the rooms are in good shape and clean. Room service is also available and the cleaning maids take good care of your room. Another little issue we had was with the key cards. Or they did not open the Gym, or they did not open the garage or even the room. The staff told us it could be that we are leaving the key card close to the cel phone. But we did not do this. Anyhow staff was pleasant and always solved the little issues during our stay.

Our room was two rooms a sitting room, a bedroom with a bathroom and a bidet. 10 stars for any hotel that provides a bidet. Viva España. We had a kettle and in 8 nights we used it once. Why on Earth would anyone make coffee in the room surrounded by places making some of the nicest coffees we've had in a long time. We had a fridge which was put to great use and the air con was top notch. The bed was cosy the view was fabulous. The breakfast choices were pretty good. Like all hotels the coffee could be better but it was fine for machines - we are just very fussy. The scrambled egg was delicious. We mention it as often this is dried out or cold in many hotels. The mushrooms were real tasty too - scrambled was available daily but mushrooms were now and again. If you have a sweet tooth there are plenty of sweet treats, jams, honey, cakes, biscuits. It's been a long time since I saw Marie biscuits. The ladies cleaning the rooms do a real good job. The staff are friendly and courteous but can be under a tad of pressure at times at breakfast. The bar staff make ace cocktails on 26th floor and the views are stunning. I only had credit card and wanted to tip at the bar but it wasn't straightforward using a card. The only thing we found tedious was having to wait on the lifts but it was occasional. You need a key card to work the lift or you're going nowhere. The lift on the right as you face them goes to 26 floor but the one on the left stops at 25. We are likely to return. If you want to buy some essentials go out the front door and turn left immediately - you'll be walking away from the sea. There's a supermarket on the same side of the street about 1/2 minutes Suma I think. They'll rip you off. Keep walking uphill you'll see a KFC and a Five Guys and when you get near the top by the main road on the right hand side there's an excellent home bakery with a good supermarket next door. Across the main road is the stunning huge meat, fish and vegetable market - Mercado. Looks like the entrance to a train station. Bombon Boss cafes are excellent coffee stops.

The beach itself, is within easy walking distance. The room was quite small and the elevators - all two of them - were small and inadequate for a 23 or 24 story building. Breakfast buffet was adequate for the price. The hotel staff spoke excellent English and were friendly. I especially appreciated them letting me e-mail documents to them for printing. If you are traveling on a budget and want to be close or on the Mediterranean, this is a good choice. I would actually rate this hotel about a 3 1/2.

Needed more towels in bathroom and paper products in kitchen. Housekeeping was great - prompt and provided clean linens each day. One street from the beach - which was awesome. The breakfast buffet was reasonably prices at 13 Euro, but needs an upgrade - but choices and higher quality food. Also - beware if you get a room on the 6th floor if the rooftop bar is open. You will be right beneath and the noise from people an chairs dragging late at night or early in the morning is no fun. Otherwise - great property and would stay again.
