I've been to most UK & US stadiums, due to lifelong obsessions with travel, sport & especially footy (soccer to Americans). Born & raised in England, I followed Oxford United (hometown team) to stadia all over the country at away games, and later Liverpool (fave team) around. In 2011, I was on music tour in the UK, and visited most stadiums for fun in my spare time. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to hundreds yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at most, which I'll post later. Also, when back in UK I'll take more pix, and add more stadia! *** return to regular review *** This is a tiny little stadium in Yeovil, built in 1990 but really not too impressive or good at keeping the sound inside the stadium. It definitely still needs work. It was built when the team was non league and now they're high flyers, which might be why it's not so great. It has nice colours though so I'll toss it a three despite it not being one of my fave places. Anyway, any stadium with one stand named Tamburino, and one named Screwfix, is pretty cool, right? If you don't love my sense of humour yet... Yeo Vil. First-Hand Experience: I saw Yeovil play live at the Kassam in Oxford once... they were pretty good. I loved that their travelling fans were so loud and into it. Very nice people too. I've been to their home stadium as well but haven't yet seen them play there. In Yeoman's terms, this is a club that has no business being in League One, it's amazing that they are so high, and were even higher recently. Such a tiny little town in the middle of nowhere. Really punching above their weight, so good for them! Yay! They once played in front of more than 81,000 against Manchester United at Maine Road, temporarily shared with local rival Manchester City following the bombing of Old Trafford in the Second World War. Wtf? I didn't even know Old Trafford was bombed. Anyway, they play to less than 10k people, in lovely green and white with yellow away kits. Sort of like Celtic hoops. They were a non league side until the new millennium, at which point they jumped up 3 divisions in the course of 10 years, which is amazing. They've dropped back down one, now, though. But there's a real romance with this team doing so well, so good on them!

Bridgwater Arts Centre is a great place and central to the Bridgwater community. So you can go there for a chat. It holds a wide range of events and sits in one of the nicest streets in Bridgwater.

Did not seem to be so extensive as in August but certainly well set out. Believe careful thought had been given in light of some tight-fitting stands on the previous occasion. The general feeling of customer focus and attention to detail is certainly felt and one notices the active participation of the theatre staff to ensure all runs well. The stalls were lively and well presented. I find creative initiatives so fascinating to follow. Family-run small businesses with quality and friendliness seem so worthy of support. The variety was very good. Having used the theatre from time to time to take a break in the coffee shop, attend a private function or visit an art display etc or even to hold a small consulation on one occasion, I can confidently recommend the venue and the thoughtfulness of the management.
