The community the teachers and staff have created has made a lasting impact on our life. All the teachers have embraced her, regardless of whether she's in their classroom or not, and the environment has served as a launchpad for her to develop safety and trust with so many gentle and attuned caregivers. I appreciate the continual development of the teachers, as they're constantly pursuing best practices to create an environment in which the kids can thrive. They also keep the environment so fun with rotating themes and fresh material to keep the kids engaged. I've been impressed by how calm and peaceful the school has felt every time I've visited or picked my child up early. She has always been very happy upon pickup as well! I only wish Mi Casita offered higher grades, as I'd keep her here indefinitely if I could!

We have had our three sons there for more than five years and think that it is a extremely warm and caring place. Our boys have learned a ton from their teachers, both educationally and in terms of being good people. They are excited to come to school every day, which is the biggest endorsement I can think of. We have been in all of the classrooms in the school multiple times since we have three children and we can't rave enough about the teachers. They are loving and enthusiastic and great at what they do. The director and assistant director are both wonderful people who truly care about the children and the school. When they realized that our oldest son and some of his classmates were going to need to repeat pre-k because they missed the kindergarten cut off, they created a new class for them, complete with advanced pre-k lessons, an awesome new teacher and weekly field trips all over the city. No place is going to be perfect all of the time, but The Giving Tree has been such an overwhelmingly positive place for our children that we continue to bring them in to the city every day to come to school, even though we moved to the suburbs in 2015. A number of families do the same. There is a crazy waitlist, as a previous reviewer has noted, but that is because families like mine have been there for years and have not left, so there are not many spots to be had. It is also true for all of the good daycares in the city, as far as I know.

They have a ton of activities: soccer shots, gymnastics, yoga, music with Mr. Joe, librarian, and special guests with animals or a magician. There's a special activity every week, if not more often. They do SO much every day, I know my son is enriched and well supported by all the teachers at the daycare. We are so happy and proud to be part of the TGT family.

Amigos is truly a special place. The staff welcomes children in a way that makes them feel safe, loved, and at home from the moment they walk through the door. Drop-offs are happy, and kids leave smiling every day. The depth of learning through play is outstanding. My children learned numbers, colors, and letters organically, along with lessons about the seasons, community helpers, and the world around them--all through play, art, and exploration. The Spanish program is exceptional; children develop a strong and meaningful Spanish vocabulary. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Amigos Preschool. It is truly one of the best in the city, and I am forever grateful for the care, nurturing, and education my children received during their most formative years.

The holistic approach here is evident in everything they do--from the way they encourage emotional intelligence to the creative, immersive, and play-based curriculum. Our children don't just 'know' Spanish; they are becoming truly bilingual in a way that feels natural and effortless. More importantly, the teachers have instilled a profound sense of confidence in our kids through the unconditional love and care they provide on a daily basis. Seeing our children bound into the classroom with a smile every morning is the greatest peace of mind a parent can have. Although I am proud to say my older child is 4 and ready to master Kindergarten, it is important to note that Amigos isn't just preparing kids for kindergarten; they are creating lifelong learners who love school. P.S. If you enroll in extended day, students participate in weekly after school activities like music, yoga, soccer, dance, and/or gymnastics.

I was informed by a previous teacher ( floater) who was fired for contacting DHS that, I should removed my child from this center because a child was injured by a teacher who is still the Lead classroom teacher in the toddler room. However no parents were informed of the state coming out in October 2024. I found out April 2025 from a teacher who was fried. The Director gave ZERO Transparency and she didn't tell any parents. The whole situation is chaotic, frustrating, and traumatic! I myself made a called to DHS to further investigate because if I can't get a straight answer from the centers own Director other than "This could tarnish my reputation" that let's me know what else is being swept under the rug, and not reported in your care. DO BETTER!!! It takes a huge level of trust to put your child in the care of people. As a former ECE teacher myself, I observed very questionable situations, such as the same little girl standing idle in a corner on multiple occasions when I dropped my daughter off. On another occasion, all the lights were off throughout the center at 5:15 p.m. while I, along with two other parents, stood outside calling their phone until an assistant teacher finally came to the door to let us in. Additionally, staffing ratios upstairs do not seem appropriate for the number of toddlers they have. It often feels understaffed, which is concerning for this age group, as they require a great deal of supervision and engagement. On top of that, they allow the toddlers to watch TV upstairs. At this age, children should be learning through play and interacting with each other not sitting in front of a screen. I would encourage other parents to seek childcare elsewhere, and ask them to question them about the incident that happened at the center, and why no letters info was provided about the investigation.

I'm reaching out to bring attention to a serious case of child neglect at Community Concern #13…read moredaycare in Philadelphia. My 3 year old nephew has attended this daycare for almost a year. On Thursday, October 2nd, he came home with a broken collarbone and no one was ever informed by the staff that he was hurt until pick up at 5pm. When asked what happened, his parents was told excuses, lies, and accusations that my nephew was lying. He's repeated the same story since the incident. After seeing footage, it was confirmed that he was injured around 10:30 a.m. and told at least five staff members he was in pain for over an hour. Instead of helping, one teacher called him a "baby" for crying and brushed him off. Another teacher tried to comfort him but after a few minutes was forced to get up and told again "to stop acting like a baby." That same teacher later admitted to rotating his arm multiple times, claiming he was fine in which he wasn't . He was picked up six and a half hours later, he was slumped in a chair, running a fever, could barely move, and cried when touched. My nephew suffered  all day, and the daycare failed to seek medical attention. The staff have not been held accountable and only told to "follow protocol next time." His pre-K teacher, showed no concern for my nephews well being. This is unacceptable, and I believe everyone deserves to know how this daycare handled my nephews injury. I hope you can help bring attention and accountability to this situation.
