I live in Nashville and for the past two summers this has been our go-to course. We play a lot of municipal courses around here, and this one is hands down in the best shape given the price point ($48 on weekends, includes cart). Unfortunately, however, the secret is out. Getting a tee time here is near impossible now. The course only opens up tee times five days out, and if you are not waiting online within 15 minutes of them going live, you have no chance playing anything but twilight on the weekends. Stopped in for a little practice time. Staff very friendly. They take the time to explain the layout of the facility and range/course. Not a bad place to meet up with golf buddies. They are working on getting the PGA HOPE program here. Looking forward to it. read more

Thank you to Tracy and his crew for a wonderful weekend of golf. We were visiting from WI and wanted to play some golf in the area. Tracy went out of his way to see that we got in two rounds on a very filled weekend at the course. The food in the snack shop was wonderful. Loved the hamburgers!!! The course dried out fairly quickly for as much rain as the area had during the week. The greens were in great shape. A friend mentioned that she was having trouble with her putter. Tracy squeezed in time for some pointers, which helped win some skins on the course for my friend. Overall, great course, great staff, great food, and a beer cart! What more could women on a no-husbands-golf-weekend ask for?! read more

I went back to visit some friends in Murfreesboro. I had played Old Fort multiple times while in grad school and loved playing the course. This trip was no different. The carts have been upgraded since grad school and now have GPS trackers so not only can you see yardage to the pin but it also tells you of other carts on the course when there's a hole with a blind spot or a dog leg which is SUPER convenient. Greens were well taken care of, sand traps looked good. It was a SWELTERING day and the course was still jam packed.Only complaint was that it was so packed we didn't tee off until 30-40 mins after our scheduled tee time. At 9:00 in the morning, there shouldn't be that kind of delay regardless. Everything was kept in great shape and was an overall good day on the course though. Would definitely go back and play again when in town! read more

What a great experience! We were here out of town, needed to rent everything for 4 people. The staff were all super helpful and informative. Got called off the course 1/2 way through due to thunderstorms/lightning. They made sure we were all four taken care of and even refunded half the charge since we could only play 9 holes. Highly recommend. Nice course, great staff, awesome equipment. Will definitely be back when we are in town again! read more

An overnight work trip but still time for some range work at the end of the day I visited Old Fort. The staff was very friendly and answered my out of towner questions with a smile. Got the same in the snack shop when I bought a water. The range is limited, right now only hitting off mats and nothing but irons and hybrids. I was a little disappointed as I was hoping to work some more with my new driver and re-shafted 7wood. No luck, but still a very productive practice session. A bucket of app. 35 balls in $4.00. They do have a very extensive short game practice area with bunkers and chipping/pitching area. They also have a huge putting green with lots of holes and fluctuations in the green to offer most any break or uphill/downhill practice you can imagine. Though I didn't play a round the course looked to be in good shape for what I saw of it. Overall a good facility despite the limits on club use. read more

Played on Wednesday afternoon before the twilight rush. I'm visiting from out of town and was going to share clubs, was told I couldn't and would have to rent clubs. Ok, not too bummed about that. Next issue was rented a cart and after paying and picking it up was told that we could only drive on the cart path. Ok so if it had just rained and the course was wet I totally understand, but the course was dry and there was no reason why we had to stay on the path the whole time, plus the course condition wasn't that great so not sure what they were trying to maintain. I would have carried my clubs had this been disclosed to us from the get go. Additionally, the "driving" range was irons only which kind of defeats the purpose. All the greens were in poor condition with a lot of holes. Next, we kept getting rushed by the course attendant even though we were playing quick and basically playing ready golf so we wouldn't back up the group behind us. We might have delayed them two holes but we created plenty of space after that. Still they kept harassing us even though it wasn't our fault that they prohibited driving in the grass for no apparent reason. I would have understood on a weekend but this we a wed early afternoon and there is no reason to rush your paying clients on a day like this. Overall customer service was poor and the rates were way too high for the poor experience. I've played courses in Hawaii that cost half the price, great customer service, and in amazing condition. Very disappointed, Murfeesboro can do better. read more

Great course, but a very disappointing driving range. I was not able to hit anything longer than my 5 iron because I would be hitting the balls into the woods. They also had a no wood/driver policy the only two times I've been there. read more
