Well equipped with tea/coffee facility, large flat sreen TV with freeview channels and a sofa. You take the included breakfast at the Toby carvery next door and they offer a "help yourself to veg" carvery (pork, turkey, beef) for £5.25 before 7.00pm (£7.50 after 7.00pm). The carvery was best value and I enjoyed it. Bank's cask ale at £1.99pp plus lagers from £2.45 to £2.85pp. I stayed for two nights and will definitely use an Innkeepers lodge again.

The guy on reception had a very good check in patter, which I am not sure was just for my amusement or his! The room was decent they do offer upgrades to the upper deck where you get access to sky movies and sports. This was of no interest to me as I was only there to sleep. The room I had was of a good standard, clean and tidy, I was on the first floor with a view of a flat roof!! The staff in the hotel were very helpful and I do believe whatever request you may have they will endeavour to accommodate it. Hence I have given the hotel a 4 star rating. The bar does resemble one you would find in a night club and it was quite loud, the drinks weren't night club priced which was good. From the posters in the bar they do have specific events throughout the year some are comedy some are tribute bands. They have a good pool and gym in the hotel so if you want a dip in the morning it is more then adequate for that purpose, they also have an onside gym which was of a decent standard. There was a wedding party there on the Saturday night which is to be expect at a hotel the wedding party was one of the better behaved ones I have witnessed however when I went up to my room I could hear the music as if I was in the party!!! This did keep me awake for a bit but I think it all stopped around the 1am mark. The breakfast was the standard fare of fried food cereal and fruit, I cannot comment on the standard of the rest of their food menu as I never sampled it. If you are in Coventry and need somewhere to stay you could do worse than here.

Extremely Disappointing Stay!…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but our stay at Village Hotel Coventry was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The first surprise was that guests are charged £7.50 per day for parking and £5 per day to use the gym. I have stayed at many hotels where these facilities are included for paying guests, so this was unexpected. During our stay there was an extreme heatwave. For the first week, we were unable to open our room window because scaffolding outside the hotel was blocking it. The room became extremely hot and uncomfortable. I asked reception for a fan but was told they had none available, so I had to go out and buy my own. I also requested additional coat hangers and was told they did not know if any were available. No one followed up. The room service experience was also very disappointing. The information in the room stated that room service delivery was free, but there was no clear ordering code or instructions. I had to go to the bar to place the order. On the first evening, I arrived at approximately 9:15 pm, despite the advertised last food order time being 9:30 pm, and was told the kitchen was already closed. We tried again the following evening and were then told there was a £3.50 room service surcharge. One of the items we paid for was missing from the order, and when I reported it, I was told the kitchen was closed and nothing could be done. Due to the overall experience, we decided to leave early and move to another hotel. At reception, I was told that the unused nights could not be refunded. They also said they would look into refunding the gym and parking charges, but those refunds have not been processed. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. The lack of clear communication, unexpected additional charges, poor service, and lack of resolution made this a very frustrating experience. We will not be staying at Village Hotel Coventry again.

We…read morewere met by a friendly and smiling front of house, who told us we didn't have to pay for parking, then asked us if we wanted to upgrade our rooms we declined politely, and we were then led to two separate bedrooms (204 and 203), both of which were light, spacious and perfectly adequate for a base for exploring Warwick and Kenilworth. One of the great advantages to this hotel was that our two rooms were connected by a beautiful, deliciously decorated communal lounge leather sofas, glass roof, flat screen tv, all decorated sumptuously in crimson and gold. After some exploration of Kenilworth, we all really enjoyed relaxing in this room with a bottle of wine and some music on the television. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were only too happy to accommodate some of our slightly fussy requests (I wanted beans with my full breakfast, which didn't come as standard but they were only too happy to get it for me, and they also accommodated my friend who wanted a sausage sandwich, not the egg or bacon sandwich as advertised on the menu). Yes, the hotel is a townhouse, and a little old and faded, but the value for money makes this absolutely one of the best hotels I have stayed in. So nice to go to a place far from home, and still feel like home.

The veg was all dried up and looked like it had been there for hours, I couldn't cut the cauliflower it was that tough. The meat was full of fat - couldn't eat it! The hotel itself is ok. A large square tower, with good sized rooms and modern TV. My room had a weird noise after the AC was turned off. Room was warm enough on the cold nights, and bright enough. No sockets near the bed to plug in electronics which was a little frustrating, but otherwise pleasant enough.

I would recommend a cab. It should cost about base fare (2.80 at time of review) to and from. Clean, rooms are nice enough. No complaints. Tho they gave us the wrong kind of room that I booked (booked 2 twin beds and got 1 queen) but they sorted it quickly and easily. Our friends also had the same booking issue so that was an odd 2nd occurrence on same day. Not a huge deal tho. There is a bar. And a restaurant. Breakfast was free for guests staying and it was quite lovely. All the stuff to make yourself a full English. With mini pastries that actually were tasty. Cereal, bread, juice and coffee as well. A buffet style so load up on bacon and sausage and beans!! Doubt I'll find myself in Coventry again but I'd recommend Ramada if your travels take you here.

The whole place needs a lot of TLC and modernising. I had a garlic bread thing and chips over at the bar and that was nice, infact the bar itself although empty was clean and respectable. For my two day stay at Ibis (with my traveling group), I genuinely felt that the staff honestly did…read morenot care about it's customers; they would not allow us to use a toll free number (even though it was an emergency), they fed us horrible food, and the rooms were awful. In the rooms most of the toilets did not flush, none of the heaters worked, none of the televisions worked, the carpets were very dirty, and there were bugs in the sheets. If I were you, I would rather sleep in the woods than spend another night in that god-awful place.
