The shop is medium sized, nowhere near some of the big stores, but what you will find is really high quality items at a great price. The Discovery Shop has a nice if not huge selection of clothes, they have just recently expanded the men's area in the back to allow for more variety. Most of the items are high end and usually very current. Where the Discovery Shop really shines is the selection of art, decor and interesting items. It seems that they get more upscale donations then most thrift stores, plus they are raising money for a great cause. Other items include books, media, all kinds of kitchenware, plates, glasses and jewelry. Prices are reasonable, what makes it even better is that they have a 50% discount color every week and the last weekend of each month the entire store is 50% off. Over the years I have found some really nice sports coats and a number of carved wood items at the Discovery Shop. Well worth a stop to check out if you are looking for some great items at good prices, plus it is great to support the American Cancer Society. I also want to shout out the volunteers at the Discovery Shop, they are always friendly and helpful and the store is well set up, organized and attractive.

I really have very little experience shopping at TJ Maxx but I must say I was impressed after my first visit to this location - the luggage department is on the immediate right when entering the store, I was happy to see they had a pretty good selection of luggage featuring a number of name brands with a wide range of pricing to fit every budget. I was looking for a quality wheeled 20" carry-on to replace a bag that was damaged beyond repair during my travel to the area to the point it wasn't going to make my return trip home. I found the checkout process a little strange with one line to access all the registers but it moved quickly and appears to be efficient - the customer service was exceptional and I left the store feeling I got a great product for a great price and that all one can really ask...

This time, I went to Target and visited the mens' clothing department as well as the electronics and home goods departments. I didn't see any clothes or coats that I was interested in. I tried to find the latest expansion for World of Warcraft, but they didn't have it in stock. I also looked for a nice pan for our glass cooktop and they had a good selection, but the price was double that of a similar pan from Kohl's. It's nice that you can drink a Starbuck's latte while you shop, but I usually don't do that. I like Target because the stores are clean, easy to shop, and organized. I found a Roku soundbar for $129, which was kind of cool because it combines the power of a Roku plus a nice speaker. It also included the premium remote with voice control. They also had an over-the-air DVR for $35, which is great for cord cutters. I'll keep that product in mind. I needed to buy milk but I couldn't because I had to pick my daughter up and drive home, which took 45 minutes. The milk would have spoiled by the time I got home, so the milk had to wait. This store is nice and I'm sure I'll visit again soon.

ONLY FAIRLAWN OHIO LOCATION. My nephew was married this past…read moreSat Oct 30th. My son was his best man, their were 3 additional groomsman in the bridal party. The other 3 ordered their rental suits from other Men's Warehouse locations, Great Northern and Kentucky- absolutely perfect, suits fit and looked beautiful. Then there's the best man who ordered from Fairlawn as he went with the groom who actually had his suit custom made and purchased. This is what my son looked like. 1st the initial Suit Coat they gave him was wrong. The "corrected one" hang like a potato sack. Honestly could have even gotten over the jacket fit. But the pants were the biggest nightmare. They were 2 sizes 2 big. The guy told him they run large but with the adjusters they would be fine. Well as you can see in the pictures that IS NOT THE CASE. The adjusters wouldn't stay for anything, couldn't even keep shirt tucked in. The sales rep actually had the nerve to tell my son well 'it's a rental and goes through a lot of hands, it's not like you got a custom suit" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? $260 for a 1 day rental to look LIKE THIS They had the audacity (per the manager Philip) to refund him 50 for the pants. OMG LOOK AT THIS ABSOLUTE DISASTER. I did call corporate office in Texas. They called the store and came back and said they store said there was nothing more they could do, although the corporate customer service rep was going to "escalate" the concern to his supervisor for follow up, although have no received and response as of thus time. I found this store several years ago and one of the things I really like about it is they always have a great sale and they also have plenty of options in the size that I like to wear. So that makes us a great spot for me to shop. They have great clothes that are always high-quality because I buy them on sale. I always get them in a great price and they carry the brands that I like. It's also convenient because it's right across the street from a hotel that I stay at frequently. The folks here are always friendly there they offer good service and because of that I keep coming back.

She is more than a shop owner, I also consider her a trusted friend. She makes great suggestions for whatever occasion you may be shopping for, and also picks out things that she thinks you would like. Any alterations she makes on any piece of clothing is the icing on the cake, as she makes things fit perfectly. Again, I think this is the only place that I really like to shop.
