They have marks near the cash registers indicating how far apart people should stand in line. The cashiers spray down their area after each customer. I was impressed at how focused they are on ensuring I have a safe shopping experience. The employees were friendly and helpful. The shelves are not fully stocked yet but they were busy putting up new things while I was there. This was the third TJMaxx/Marshall's I went to today and I was super excited to find the hand soap that I needed and haven't been able to find anywhere else. It's something that I always bought at Marshall's in the past but have been unable to find for months. It seems like they are starting to get in new stock. Things are looking up. I simply asked the cashier if she had a handheld scanner so the candy could be scanned while my grandbaby was holding it. Instead of just answering yes or no, she replied with attitude and said, "The world ain't going to treat her like you do, and she ain't going to die if you take the candy from her." Then after I finally took the candy from my fussy grandbaby, she picked up the handheld scanner attached to the register anyway. The whole interaction was rude and unnecessary. I didn't ask for parenting advice -- I asked a simple question that only required a yes or no answer. Sometimes people need to learn how to stay in their lane. The one thing that I enjoy about this store is their displays and their organization. The racks are always neat and organized and the girls do a great job of staging the items. Like colors are always together so that you can easily coordinate and pull that outfit together. This store carries two sections, misses and plus so that it easy to find your ideal size. They also carry bags, jewelry, hats and gloves, undergarments and shoes. If you carry extra weight, this place is ideal because they carry figure flattering tunics, dresses and covers. The covers are great for layering and do not add bulk, they come in sleeveless, short sleeves and long sleeves. Today, I scored a maxi length cover that can be worn with a dress, leggings or jeans. I love pieces that can be styled in various ways. I also purchased a red tunic that will be great for the holidays. It is still relatively warm so adding light layers is a nice way to transition into fall. If you like light weight denim pieces, ( in rayon and tencel), they had those items available as well in prints and solids. I'd give 5 stars if I felt like the selection wasn't low for such a large space. Maybe that's what the staff were busy working on, but it didn't help me in the moment as far as selection. I decided to look around after and found 2 sweaters on clearance. I've always loved Gap for their high quality materials, they're not like the other "disposable" clothing stores where you wear the item once and it's never the same again. The lady that took care of my returns and rang me up was so nice, and the gentlemen employee also standing at the counter thanked me for making a purchase. I love my sweaters and can't wait to wear them when it's cooler. And I'm going back to the Gap this weekend to look for some business attire.
