This is one of those places where you look at the photos and you question whether or not you really want to eat avocado toast, coffee, parfaits, etc. in san sebastian and the answer is a resounding yes. Their menu is fairly simple, with various combinations of toast. The ingredients are what makes the place - fresh avocado, tomato spread, jamon on top of the details: the sesame seeds, sprouts, presentation. What we got (note: went two days in a row, back to back) - The Lot: avocado toast + tomato spread + jamon. Delicious - Caprese bagel: bagel wasn't what you expect from new york, but apparently the caprese combo was super fresh - Tomato & Jamon toast: Also delicious - Parfait: The fruits on this were amazingly sweet. The granola was nice and crunchy As far as drinks go, the presentation is amazing but the drinks tastes delicious: - Cold brew coffee - Iced americano - Fresh squeezed OJ - Matcha latte Can't go wrong with any of the drinks or the food choices here. The waitstaff is super friendly. Expect to wait a little bit since this place is super popular!

We were asked to leave, not to wait around for a table to sit down to enjoy the food/coffee that we purchased.

Very unpleasant experience; tantamount to racial discrimination We wanted to wait around for a table to enjoy the food/coffee that we purchased because two tables were about to be available. But the male waiter asked us to leave, citing excuses including the store would close in 30 minutes, a waiting list (even though there were no other customers waiting around,) etc. It was around 11:30am on Sunday (3/12.) Later I found out the store closes at 1pm on Sundays. It's truly unfortunate. It's a racist place. They want your money, but not your presence.

Loved this coffee shop! Best coffee in town with the nicest staff around. My coffee with oat milk was delicious. The owners are fantastic. I had the peanut butter and banana toast which was fantastic. What a gem of a place.

This was the best high-end coffee bar we found in San Sebastián. Unfortunately, the famed Sakona was on holiday so we did not have a chance to try it in their shop. We did try it at the Loaf and it was very good. However, I would choose old town if you can't get Sakona in the shop. Old town coffee makes a really nice flat white and latte. We went twice in 4 days. The avocado and tomato toast was average and the reason for the 4-star score.

American visiting. Very modern and hipster place for breakfast. You download the menu which was a pain for us because of cell phone service. When I finally got it downloaded, I could not get it to translate so the descriptions didn't help me. I wouldn't call any of the staff particularly friendly. I had The Lot which was good and a mocha. My companion had the avocado toast and an Americano; he said both were great. Honestly, most cafes use fresh ingredients. I did not see this as a stand-out place to visit.

Jamón del país on toast with tomato. Yum!

This is a great little café right next to the Buen Pastor Church. If you don't look closely, you'll miss it! (*Thats what happened to me the day before!) their cappuccinos are very tasty and they have some good breakfast items as well. I will definitely go back. (*Theres also a little newsstand, a hallway really, right next door that is also excrement.)

    Avo toast and Salmon Bagel

If you are visiting from America this is a great place to get breakfast starting at 9am that resembles some of the goodies back home like avocado toast! The staff here was very friendly and prices were decent. They have toast and bagel sandwiches to choose from, in addition to granola and such. The place is cute--more contemporary and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Recommend both the Salmon Bagel and the Avocado Toast that comes with a Poached Egg and a super yummy Crushed Tomato Spread on the bottom (tomatoes are soooo much better here)!!

Great breakfast spot! Coffee was really good here along with the avocado toast and yogurt with fruits.

Really great place to grab a light breakfast before exploring San Sebastián. I ordered an iced latte (such a rare find in Europe), fresh orange juice served in a wine glass, and the classic tomato paste on bread you see very often in Spain but with avocado! I really liked the coffee and there was limited seating but we were able to get a nice and comfortable table. The staff was super friendly and they even spoke Portuguese so I had fun interacting with them!

Friendly staff and a great spot to grab a coffee and a small bite before heading off exploring San Sebastián. Cozy little shop with a nice and warm feel about it.

Nice place for breakfast, busy and fast people there. Service from a tablet, coffee but where is the sugar. No shots in your coffee as i was told it is not natural. My fav is a latte with caramel or hazelnut. Not available here. Pity. So just 3 ***

Portions are generous. Flavors are big and balanced. Just delicious, whether seafood or meat or vegetables. We had scallops in a deep seafood stock, grilled hake with Thai infused coconut milk and lobster oil, and classic Indian butter chicken. Each dish outstanding on its own, all from one kitchen is wow. Presentation is thoughtful and beautiful. Vibe is cool without trying to be cool. Feels relaxed. Fun music playing without being loud or intrusive. Staff are fun and friendly and precise in their care. And to take it all to the next level was our host, Cesar. Not just thoughtful and welcoming but his passion for each dish and the care and thought that goes into them was obvious. His joy is genuine and we appreciated him sharing details with us so we could be part of the fun. In a city with so much wonderful food, La Madame stands out because it is a sit down restaurant, serving fresh and inspired and delicious food, with care and creativity and obsessive detail and pure happiness.
