First time walking through Old Town Temecula. Love the old, rustic vibe. The buildings have a history, and honestly I'm shocked it's still holding up. I visited on a Saturday night, and it was busyyy. There are many bars, souvenir shops, boutiques, and restaurants. It's very lively! Hospitality is great. I was warmly greeted when I entered every shop and boutique. They offered assistance and very knowledgeable about their products. Parking can be a bit tricky. There's street parking and a parking lot. Street parking is difficult to find. Careful for pedestrians. I highly recommend parking in the lot on 2nd and Main St.

OLD TOWN TEMECULA is a nice little gem situated right off the 15 freeway. There are so many choices for foodie adventurers and boutiques such as the Olive Oil Company, the sweet shop, the gambling cowboy steakhouse, my matcha place & more! SONG of the DAY to play along to the this YELP REVIEW: The good, The bad and the ugly by Ennio Morricone... I met up with my mom and friends at TEN HUT and then we walked around OLD TOWN afterwards. It was a very hot day but, even on a hot day it still had a strong breeze to keep us cool... It was a great day for some ice cream and company given the fact that it was 96 degrees! There's still so much to explore here in Wine Country and OLD TOWN TEMECULA... ROCK ON OLD TOWN TEMECULA!!!
Located in the southern part of Temecula is where you will find Old Town Temecula. There's several historic buildings still intact including an old hotel & a jail. In this area the city hosts parades, car shows, a weekly farmers market and sometimes special events like concerts as well. There's plenty of shops to peruse, restaurants to enjoy and bars to quench your thirst with ample parking available for free. No matter what you're in the mood for: Mexican, Cuban, Korean fusion, American, tea house, brunch, lunch or dinner, there's an option for you. There's coffee shops, breweries, wineries and even a speakeasy called Thompson and Twain located inside Crush n Brew that I definitely recommend you check out. Expect to walk around quite a bit because there's so many different things to check out. I highly recommend visiting during the holidays, in the evening the streets are beautiful.
It's been years and years since I was last here. Just seeing all new restaurants and shops around the strip was nice. It was busy with the restaurants as it was Easter Sunday. A couple of stores were closed but still a nice stroll along the strip. Same as last, parking can be crazy as there's lots but they tend to fill up fast. Old town still offers a nice vibe but not there's more restaurants than I remember.
Wow, this town definitely gave me a different vibe and experience but it was delightful; it felt like I relived those classic American cowboy movies while I was there. Only approximately 2 hours drive from Los Angeles, Temecula is definitely unique and different from the major California cities. Built in 1880s, I was surprised at how well they preserve and maintain the building structures in this town. The place was also very clean (LA could learn a thing or two about cleanliness from this town) I arrived here at around 9PM, and the place was still lively with many people taking a stroll around the town. Unfortunately for me though, most of the shops were already closed but I had fun exploring this side of California. Totally recommended if you are visiting Los Angeles and want to see something different, try visiting Temecula! You will be pleasantly surprised!
This town was a lot bigger than I thought and I am very glad I stopped here on the way to San Diego. It has a very old western type of feel to it. Lots of bars, saloons, taverns, restaurants, and even a really beautiful city hall. We stopped at a few places to visit briefly since we only had one hour. A few of the places that stood out were 1909, Be Good, Crush and Brew, and Espadin. Be Good was very well layed out and decorated. The vibe of Temecula was pretty nice. Lots of people were out and about, talking to us, and just a happy vibe. I plan to go back when I have a few hours and check out more of the shops and restaurants. Very impressive.
Went to Temecula's Santa Electric Parade. Got there at 5 but parking took a while about 30 mins. Wish the traffic detail was more organized because it seemed as if the volunteers didn't know where to direct traffic. The hotel along the way did have items for sell ( food. Barious beverages) Very family friendly. I do suggest maybe the city start thinking about heaters alongside some of the street lights next yr. Or atleast a warming station. The am/pm was closed prior to the parade starting but the Chevron was open and thank gosh they had some hot chocolate to keep us warm. Overall a good experience. Do keep in mind that the parade is expected to last 2 hrs. We started walking back at 830 and was still able to catch the floats and Santa himself on our way back. Also remember to bring blankets, and gloves. I brought a chair but didn't even need to use it.
This old town Temecula is great for tourists, especially during holidays. Great holiday vibes and well decorated. All shops and restaurants are fully open. Temecula parking garage is free. Street parking is hard to find, but there's plenty of parking spots behind buildings too. The public parking garage is walking distance to the church landmark. Good restaurants and pubs here. Looks like a place for happy hours and Santa sightings everywhere. Yes, people dressed up in Santa Suits and there's beautiful cars everywhere. It just felt like every corner was reserved for Santas walking around during Christmas time. Absolutely cute old town. Gift stores and candy stores are filled with sweets. The place is only a few blocks north and south. They had a public ice skating rink and sole taco trucks operating in front of the church, right next to the Temecula city Christmas tree. Great experience. It was a very long drive from Irvine to Temecula for us, but Christmas vibes exist here. Old buildings look like the wild west old town bars. Some of the buildings look like ones found in New Orleans. Comfortable and cozy town. Definitely different and worth checking out, especially if you're in town to visit Pechanga Hotel Casino not far. Gorgeous neighborhood with spacious streets everywhere.
We came from out of state for a few days stay right across the street. Definitely, a must go place if you're staying in the area and looking for things to do, eat, and shop! Cute town.. walk to all the little places on the road. Too bad they close so early..! Seems like a tourist spot. Unfortunately, the locals here are not that friendly or talkative. Seems odd since I'm sure it brings a lot of visitors to the area. Nonetheless, it's a nice morning stroll before anything is open. The gorgeous backdrop mountains. Lots of street parking, paid parking lots, and business lots. The streets feel super right. So drive slow and watch for pedestrians. read more
Old Town Temecula is a historic district of the city that has a western-themed vibe. It's considered the "downtown" of Temecula as it has a lot of dining, entertainment, and nightlife but it's still relatively small and compact. It has a Wild West charm that spans to the buildings, restaurants and bars in the form of "saloons", and wooden boardwalks and western-style storefronts. There is a farmers market every Saturday at 8am where tons of vendors show up selling things from food, veggies, fruits, honey, and lot more. There are also free public restrooms throughout for convenience. There is free parking at the many garages around and on the street which makes it easy to explore the area. read more
Old Town Temecula has such cute, quirky vibes! It's a relatively short walk from one end to the other about 15 minutes, but definitely be prepared for the heat. The sun makes that walk feel a bit longer than it actually is. We passed by so many unique shops and inviting restaurants. The highlight of our walk was seeing a Mario and Luigi just hanging out in a car parked in front of one of the stores. It's those little unexpected details that make this place so charming. Highly recommend for a weekend stroll, just remember to stay hydrated. read more

There's not a lot to Old Town Temecula but it's very cute! There are a lot of bars and clubs and stores and it's touristy which is why I'm here! I would definitely come back to the candy stores and the olive oil stores. read more

Old town Temecula hosts great community events. This little strip of old town is an entertainment playground. During the events it does get pretty crowded so parking and traffic are to be expected. There's plenty of restaurant options within walking distance and when you've had your fill you can visit some wineries a short distance away. Relax in the fresh ocean kissed air with rolling hills and expansive views. read more
When living in the greater Los Angeles area, it's just nice to get away and Old Town Temecula is just the spot to do so! Nestled right in between LA and San Diego to the East is charming Old Town Temecula. This area has a rustic and western feel. Hubby and I waited until traffic died down on a late Saturday afternoon. There were plenty of spots in the free parking structure. From there it's a short walk to the shops, restaurants, and more. By evening a lot of the gift shops were closed but, there were a few gift shops open. Lots of restaurants to choose from and of course yelp showed the popular and highly rated ones first. It's a beautiful area and there are plenty of opportunities to take photographs with nice green scenery behind you depending where you take the photo. There are wineries, art, olive oil shops, cafes, historic sites, and more. Plenty of folks walking around. We also listened to a fantastic live band rehearse prior to their evening set. Old Town Temecula is an all around lovely and enjoyable town. read more
2022.04-09/SAT_2000: I love the setup of this western style town with everyone's two favorites - shopping and drinking. The layout of the shops and bars are awesome. Parking has never been an issue for us when we've visited. The western architecture and decor is a nice touch. Everyone I've encountered has been friendly. You get that home feel and people don't look at you like a tourist. Great place to shop or relax on a Sunday with mimosas or chill out with a group of friends enjoying live music and cocktails on a Saturday. Can't complain. It would be great if I could remember most of my visit but sadly when night fell, I cannot. But before then, it was very pleasant! LOL read more

Such an awesome old and rustic looking downtown area. I come often to the Cuban cafe. But since I love to take photos I decided to explore one day. There are awesome photo opportunities to be discovered. I'd you need a cool backdrop this downtown area is where you need to be. You will find cool locations just by walking through buildings to the back areas. You find them just from driving around. I promise go explore and take a friend to keep you company and you can use them as a model. I'll attach a few photos I took and at least one from the person I was trying to show how to take great photos with an iPhone 13. Remember a photo is about composition. A good photo is made when taking the photo not when adding a filter or editing in light room. All my photos were taken with an iPhone 13 with or without Moment Lenses. Plenty of dining places to choose from family owned and operated businesses that create a unique visit for an Old Town Experience. Come early on a Saturday for the Farmers Market. It is worth it. Temecula is such a beautiful community surrounded by gorgeous hillsides and a must see when in SoCal! There were four of us that visited Old Town Temecula at the end of June on a Wednesday night at 7 pm, and we were surprised and disappointed to find that most of the stores were already closed. This was actually the second time I visited Old Town Temecula, with the previous time being in the early 2000s, and it looked like there were lots of changes made in this area. If you visit this area, you can look for free parking on the streets or in free parking lots. I assume that parking can be challenging to find during popular events in Old Town Temecula and on weekends. Much of Old Town looks like it could've been used in old western movies, and I absolutely love how many of the buildings look. Much of Old Town is Instagram-worthy if you're looking for rustic backgrounds or old looking buildings and architecture. I'm glad they're being well maintained to provide visitors a chance to at least see structures, many with long histories behind them. While we were there, most of the bars and restaurants were open, along with the popular candy and ice cream stores. I missed out on Pennypickle's Children's Museum, Temecula Olive Oil, Temecula Lavender, wine tasting, antique stores, boutiques and gift stores, but got some gelato from Bottega Italia, and walked through Sweet Shop Candy Store and Ice Cream Parlor. Thinking back on all of the types of businesses that were closed, maybe I didn't really miss out on anything. read more
Old Town Temecula is soooo cute, it's not very big but has lots to offer; a vintage store, coffee shop, garden, restaurants, soap shop and olive oil shop. I've passed by many times and was so glad to be able to walk around a bit. While, I waited to check in at Pechanga Resort and Casino. Just in the background on the East side of Old Town Front Street you will see the City of Temecula Civic center. It was beautifully decorated for the season, Christmas of course! It gets very cold at night during the winter so I would suggest taking a stroll during the day when the sun is out. I have to be honest and say it was quite cold so I didn't fully finish the tour but can't wait to come back. read more
When people hear "Temecula," they automatically think "Wine Country!" Some may not know about Old Town Temecula, so if you're one of those, read on... This little stretch of charming shops, restaurants and bars can be found between the Rancho California and Temecula Pkwy exits off the 15 fwy on Old Town Front Street. I've known about this area for years, but never really went to check it out until the last year or so. I find myself coming here often nowadays, and I have to say, I'm getting better and better at finding a parking spot, lol! On a slow day or night, it'll be easy to find one, but on peak days and times, good luck!! You'll discover bars, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, and more here in Old Town. There's even a cool museum for the little ones called Pennypickle's Workshop!! Unfortunately, it's been closed for the longest time due to covid19. I have a little list of places I want to visit here. Hopefully I'll be able to check them all out in the next few days. It can be very chill out here, but before the pandemic, I remember it would get mad crazy. Be safe and wear those masks, as most, if not all of the shops here require them (with the exception of bars and restaurants when you're eating or drinking of course). If you're visiting the Temecula area for the wineries and want to switch gears without going too far away, come here! I would have rated 5 stars, but deducted one due to the parking situation. This is a long overdue review. First of all, I love Old Town Temecula!!! There is so much to do and see along this small stretch of the main drag through town called Front Street, and the side streets that feed into Front Street. There is much that has changed in the 12 years we have lived here. One major change is the progression of moving away from the old and updating with new and trendy restaurants and shops. Some locals aren't happy with this, thinking that the town is losing it's original old town charm. While it is sad to see some of this change, I think the new businesses and restaurants add a nice refresh to the town. And there are still many "old time" favorites still operating here. Most recently, the businesses have had to make many adjustments to accommodate compliance with COVID-19 CDC safety precautions. Al fresco dining is the norm, with misters to cool when it's hot, and outdoor heaters to warm when its cold. Some things I really like about Old Town: *Holiday Parades bring the locals out (sadly, on hold for now). *City Hall is beautiful. Take advantage of city sponsored events here. *The Visitor Center: Stop here for information about the area and check out their small gift shop. *So many shopping, dining, entertainment options. *Old Town Community Theater (sadly, also on hold now) *Temecula Olive Oil, Temecula Lavender Company, Pennypickles Children Musuem, Mad Madelines for Friday night fall off the bone ribs, Saturday Farmer's Market *Gosh, this list could go on, and on, and on, so I will stop here. Cons: Weekends get crazy busy! Dining is more expensive in Old Town. It's nice to be a local! read more

CHARMING OLD TOWN! I've been visiting Old Town Temecula for years now and I'm delighted every time I walk down the historic Old Town Front and Main St. The buildings and wooden structures scream Wild West. Old Town never falls into gimmicks, it's just unadulterated fun. You can find a variety of bars, restaurants and activities throughout Old Town. I've had everything from coffee, to Mexican, to BBQ! You'll find many international offerings here! My favorite restaurants are The Gambling Cowboy and Mad Madeline's, they have such great food and you get to enjoy the bustle of the Old Town Hub. I also visit the Old Town Community Theater and The Merc for local plays, concerts, festivals and more! If you're visiting Temecula, there's gift shops in Old Town with shirts, memorabilia and other items. I see a lot of families having a good time here, there's something for everyone. They even have an ice cream shop! If you're looking for an adult night out with friends, the local gem The Coin Op is available. Parking on the street is available if you can't find a spot in a lot. read more

We were promptly greeted and showed our tickets for the Christmas Carol production. The theater was clean and the staff was friendly. The show was nicely done. There were bathrooms outside in the courtyard area. Mostly everyone was wearing a mask but I believe it was mask optional. A great time for the family, definitely recommend! read more
