Pepperoni pizza

Loved the ambience even though it was a rainy day. Celebrated my bday and then witnessed a wedding proposal. The staff was attentive and friendly. I am looking forward to returning on a sunny day.

Love this venue! Went here during February. We reserved one of the 7-12 greenhouses and our event went so well. The greenhouse has good natural lighting. The pizzas were tasty too. Good heating, even a fan for the summer. Be careful of the heating element because we burned one of our balloons that touched. Muddy on the parking lot in February after a few weeks of snow and rain so dress appropriately and wear the right shoes. Highly recommended!

This place is truly phenomenal. The greenhouse cabana is a must! The greenhouse is $65 for 2-4 guest. It's well worth it. Beautiful intimate experience. And prefect for a date night. The food menu is limited but it's delicious. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was amazing. And the Caesar salad was tasty. I really enjoyed the charcuterie board. Our server was very attentive. She gave us a sample of wine.

We really enjoyed girls day! We tasted wine, ate pizza and talked in a beautiful environment. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful. We sat in the patio, which is open but we were nice and cozy under the heater and they provided blankets. I would definitely recommend checking them out

An adorable winery with fantastic selections for every palette, good food, and friendly service. We celebrated a birthday at Old Westminster in the small house rentals. Inside, they've thought of everything: blankets, heaters, fans, and a little speaker you can connect to. Jen was our waitress and she made it fun, gave out great recommendations for the women new to wine, and just made it a fun experience. The food was good and the wine selection was awesome. I don't love that the dry red tasting is only available to members but understand it makes a good business model. The petit Verdot was excellent! This is a great spot for a girls night or a romantic date night! I highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I came here with some friends for brunch, and we rented one of the private cabanas. They have heaters as well, so the cabanas can be rented year round. The food here is farm to table and the ingredients are sourced locally, and the everything tasted fresh. Our server was friendly and she greeted us with welcome drinks, which I thought was a nice touch. They don't have many cocktails, but the one that I ordered was tasty. My friends enjoyed their wine flights as well. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I highly recommend checking this winery out.

Enjoyed a girl's day out at this lovely winery in the DMV area. Come with me to Old Westminister Winery in the DMV REVIEW: DRIVE 7/10 SCENARY: 10/10 WINE: 8/10 FOOD: 6.5/10 (limited options) The service was good; they catered to our large group. Sitting outside and taking in the beautifu landscapes while painting and sipping wine was the best. Very relaxing environment. Shout out to Ainsley for superb service! Enjoyed our girls holiday lunch in a private heated hut. Roasted carrots were the stand out!

Such a fun place to get wine and good food. We were able to reserve a spot at the private cabanas and it is so lovely. We went when it was pouring rain, but the cabana was still warm and did a good job of keeping the rain out of our cabana. The food here is farm table so the food is super fresh and flavorful. You can even see them making your pizza through a glass window. We got the flights and were able to try the different wines they had to offer. We dot the cheese and meat board, several pizzas, carrots, and the hummus. The pizzas were really good and had a ton of toppings on them. I can't wait to go back!

This is by far the best Maryland winery that I have been too. I think these wines can compete with other well known areas, and the professional awards show it. The servers have always been knowledgeable when I have been, and they are able to provide recommendations and suggestions based on your own taste and preferences. They give you a complimentary pour (they call it a splash) of a wine not on the menu that you can buy by the bottle at the beginning of your reservation. The wood fired pizzas are great, and their food menu changes seasonally. I'd definitely recommend this location to wine experts and newbies alike!

Old Westminster Winery is definitely worth the drive out! The farm it's on it's beautiful and the actual dining areas are so beautifully decorated. You can sit in the glass patio or in mini green houses during the colder months, so you can enjoy the sunlight while still keeping warm, which is a must in the cold! As soon as we arrived, aside from noticing the beautiful property and space I noticed how friendly and welcoming all the staff were. From the busy hosts being so welcoming to the servers being SO knowledgeable. I came out knowing so much about the winery and wine in general! For food everything we got was AMAZING! The pizzas were so well cooked and the pear prosciutto and Gouda pairing was so unexpected but perfect. The hummus gets points for being pink and for it generally being one of the most flavorful hummuses I have had in a while! Of course the main event is the wines, with the membership you receive four flights free each month, we were able to try all three available which was perfect because they were all delicious! My favorite flight combo was the classics. If you live around the area and would go monthly I definitely think the wine membership is a great opportunity to get free green house or patio bookings, free wine flights, and 10% off all other wine purchases!

SPECTACULAR! If you can bear the drive, definitely worth the trip. Took my lady and a few of her friends here for her birthday and everyone has an amazing time. Was able to book about 3 months in advance for a greenhouse for 6. The greenhouse was very spacious and decorated well. The only negative I can think of is cloudy weather is needed. If the sun is out in full force, I imagine the greenhouse will get too hot. The glimpses of sun we had, made us open fans and all doors. We ordered the following and EVERYTHING was a 9 or 10 out of 10: Espresso martini: 9/10 Winter Caesar salad: 10/10 - incredible Cheese and prosciutto board: 9/10 extra money might be needed Truffle and mushroom pizza: 12/10 one of the none pork options and the mushrooms were perfect (ordered 2) Pepperoni and hot honey pizza: 9/10 wish it was a little less spicy Margherita pizza: 9/10 nice cheese and thin crust Carrots and feta: 10/10 wish feta was a little thicker Old fashioned: 10/10 perfect Wines- so instead of doing a flight of whites for each person, decided to get the full bottle of each and saved a lot of money. 2023 Riesling: 10/10 not like all of the other rieslings have had before 2023 Albariño: 10/10 first time trying and we loved it 2024 honey: 10/10 sweet but so good

This place is one of my favorite places in Maryland-- the food, the wine, the outdoor spaces-- everything. You will need a reservation to go but it's definitely worth it. The wine is so tasty and delicious and you can either get bottles or a flight based on your preference. The menu periodically changes but includes coffee, appetizers, and wood-fired pizza-- all of which are very delicious. They have made their outdoor spaces equipped for all seasons and that makes this a great destination to celebrate something special year-round. Check them out if you have not already!

Diane, the lovely owner is so gracious and sweet and was able to handle the flow of oenophiles quite effortlessly. They have the main tasting room and also an adjacent room that could accommodate a group tasting. Diane did a great job of giving us a detailed description of each wine and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I'm not a huge fan of Md wine but truly enjoyed the wines here. I purchased a bottle of the Estate Red and they had a wonderful sangria made with their Chambourcin which I also purchased. I love supporting local and especially such a great vineyard such as this one that is also a working farm. I would encourage anyone to venture out to this vineyard--but actually put the address in your gps and not just the name, you will end up at someone's home. I assume this family are use to people ending up at their home-they have a sign that has the address of the vineyard on it--thank you mystery family!

We were out somewhat in this direction, and there was a Meetup group going here, so we thought to check it out as it's rare we ever go to a winery as it's normally out of the way, more likely of an occurrence when on a vacation. We took some crazy back roads from where we were in western Howard County, through Carroll, & into eastern Frederick County, where Black Ankle is. We went to the bar inside to get wines. I got a white wine; I think Chardonnay, and I think my girlfriend got a sweeter Rose or something like that. Both were delicious, but we preferred our own more. We sat outside in a nice patio area. We were in the hot Sun on that sunny day, but that was cool with me. We learned of a tour going on, which we got in on. The tour guide who wore an Italian flag bowtie was entertaining and informative. We walked around the vineyard, going inside the cooled storage areas, centrifuge area where the wine is mixed, etc. We even saw some of the old wines they had made from years earlier. We saw sheep dogs, which protect the vineyard from pests, which were cute. Overall, this is a high quality winery with plenty of nice outside & inside seating.
