I loved the teapots, cups and tiny milk jugs served on little trays with a smidgen of cake to make you smile. And the sticky toffee pudding was damn good too. There was a blob of something yellow in the middle of it all which could have been mayonnaise, hollondaise or phlegm, it was hard to tell from the taste but it was warm and slimy. At over £12 this was poor value. My friend's sausage and mash were ok. The apple crumble consisted of apple which bore more than a passing resemblance to the tinned product, with undercooked powdery crumble which shot across the table in a cloud when my friend blew on the very hot (microwaved?) apple to cool it. The grounds are beautifully kept and in a lovely spot but the food spoilt the occasion.
