So I thought the OG was a bit retro as it was a hot spot in the late 90's and was even telling my 18yo son his Dad and I dated at this location. Though the dining room hasn't updated much I was wrong about their popularity. My son requested for birthday dinner arrived about 545pm first in the waiting area. Requested table for two was estimated 10-15 minute wait. In that time the waiting area completely filled with waiting diners. I realized that greeters did not take my name and after twenty minutes made them aware there was no one in waiting room when i arrived. Luckily they realized the overlook and was placed at top and seated at table quickly afterwards. Service was top notch from this point on. Waitress was wonderful with recommendations and full service. I took her up on recommended Appletini and shrimp and chicken carbonara with angel hair pasta. My son had chicken Alfredo and downed it in no time as teenage boys do. Salad was refilled and my son's soda, and waters. Loved the carbonara and had plenty to go. Added the $6 to go fettuccini Alfredo. It's not your authentic home town Italian but for a food chain and service on point and only $70 plus tip! Buonissimo!! read more

I really don't understand the bad reviews. I have been here twice this month after church on Sunday and both times were great. Even the first time when I requested the soup pasta Fagoili for me and my partner and they did not have it, the waitress said Minestrone was the only option and we opted for that, no big deal and it was Delicious. The vegetables in the soup were DEFINITELY fresh, not frozen or canned. The lasagna as the main dish was good too. The second time we did do pasta Fagoili for soup and it was great too but let me tell yall.... that chicken and shrimp carbonara.... lordy lord... amazing and the red bell peppers in the dish still had a crunch which was awesome. Service is quick too, the waitresses check on you quite a bit which is surprising because both Sundays were really busy. read more

I went to lunch last week with a couple of family members that absolutely love the Olive Garden. They had their usual pasta dishes and loved them! I was torn between having the all you can eat soup and salad and the chicken parmesan. I opted for the chicken dish. The chicken was extremely salty and the pasta sauce lacked flavor. I had the Zuppa Tuscana soup! It was amazing. Absolutely delicious. I had the server grate fresh cheese on it and I sprinkled it with pepper. I love the ambiance. The service was very good. I don't usually go to chains so I know to not expect too much. I wish there were half star ratings. I would like to give them 3 1/2 stars. I couldn't justify four stars so this is why I gave them three stars. read more

Three friends who used to love coming here will not anymore. I ordered shrimp scampi and the portion was so small with very little pasta, hardly any sauce for $22.29. I wish I had taken a picture. The soup, Chicken and Gnocchi, was thin with no substance, no creaminess. Our wait person was slow with the soup and waited until our entrees to bring salad. No asking would we like coffee, tea, dessert, just brought the checks. Maybe the person was new. The pictures on the menu DID NOT look like what I got. So disappointing for over $34. We ordered takeout for a family reunion and the food was very good especially the lasagna. I've eaten in the restaurant also and when I ordered the shrimp/pasta dish it was a little dry. We sat there for 10 minutes still nothing. the couple behind us in line waiting to be seated sat down (right next to our table) had already had gotten their drinks along with salad and breadsticks. I haven't been here in a while and I was really craving some fresh salad and soup. I sat in the bar, which was quiet and relaxing, the restaurant was pretty busy for lunch. My salad was fresh and I always enjoy their dressing.(no croutons thank you) I had my two favorite soups, the Chicken & Gnocchi and the Zuppa Toscana. The chicken & gnocchi is creamy with little gnocchi (like dumplings) and pieces of chicken. The Zuppa Toscana has Spicy sausage, kale & potatoes . Olive Garden is always enjoyable and hits my nostalgia bone just right. Is it the best food ever, no. Is it consistent, yes. The meal is unlikely to take you to flavor heaven, but it's always been reliable and I've always left satisfied. I do believe there needs to be an expectation adjustment and understand that it's a chain restaurant at heart. The main dishes of Herb grilled salmon and the chicken and shrimp carbonara were lovely. Well made all around. The fried ravioli and chicken and gnocchi soup were tasty. And as we all know the salad and bread sticks are the consistent stars that we came here for in the first place. Our server was very nice, with service being quick. The restaurant looks like every Olive Garden I've ever seen and it of course had soft Italian music playing in the background. We had gift cards and decided we'd stop for lunch. I ordered the shrimp scampi expecting shrimp sautéed in garlic butter/olive oil but what I got was a bowl of spaghetti with a few small shrimp, some tough pieces of hard asparagus and some chopped tomatoes. The dish had no flavor and no sauce. It was bland and I would take it off the menu if this is the best you can come up with! Olive Garden use to be good. read more

We had a great dinner last night. Our family of 4 had wanted to go for a while. We finally made it happen after my son's basketball game. It was Saturday around 6pm and I feared the wait for a table. The parking lot was crowded and groups were waiting in the lobby. I didn't have to wait to put our name in. They said roughly 22 minutes. Surprisingly it ended up being less than that. We left stuffed as we filled up too much on their salad, breadsticks, and a calamari appetizer before our meals. My husband noted that it said they changed the calamari app. Unfortunately, we didn't like it as much and wouldn't order it again. We also ordered 2 entrees, 2 kids meals, 2 kids drinks (can't remember if they were included in the price), 1 moscato sangria at a decent 6.50 price, 1 coffee, and an extra side of broccoli. Total came with tip to $91 so we obviously can't do that often. It was a special night out and the kids have leftovers for today. Our waitress was really nice and took care of us well. Paid more than $50 for our lunch and got stale breadsticks, tough calimeri and were charged the after 3pm price (+$4) when we were seated before 3. I have learned not to complain to people handling my food so this forum is best resort. Very disappointed with cleanliness and customer service. Salad bowl had a spot of food on it, noticable on a white bowl. Knife was bent and had food stuck on it. I have a food allergy and requested the chicken and shrimp carbonara without red peppers. The new server was taking it back to be remake when the trainer came over and told me I did not tell them that I can't have red peppers. The new server stood up for me and mentioned that I did tell her that I can't have peppers. Then the trainer said FINE I will have your dish remade! The manager came over and asked how we are doing. How can you go wrong with Olive Garden. Meals come with unlimited soup or salads and breadsticks. They have 15 dollar bottle of wine so that's a good deal. I got the shrimp scampi it was pretty flavorless but low in cals. My husband got the Asiago tortellini which he really liked. Our friends got the five cheese ziti and shrimp and chicken carbonara which they liked. Food is consistent tastes the same each time. Took me awhile to get around to writing this, but this is in regard to going here before it had to switch to pick up. Rarely can you go to a restaurant with a small child's birthday party and a couple celebrating their recent engagement. I was shocked to realize this is just a restaurant and not also a bike shop, but that did not have a negative impact on the food. When I was younger I went to an Italian restaurant in NYC, which was good, but not as good as this Olive Garden. I would say, "hats off to the chef and staff", but I am not currently wearing a hat. I remember my good friend Ian from Long Island saying I would not like this restaurant, but once again he was wrong. I would recommend this to anyone looking for Italian food; however, if you're in the mood for a burger or Chinese food, then this probably is not the place for you. read more

A lot of the popular items are still options but unfortunately, those items were not my favorite. This location had great customer service. We had a party of 10 and the hostess was very accommodating and friendly. We waited in the bar area and our 40min wait turned into a 25-30min wait. Our party had the waitress Mary and she was phenomenal. She was very attentive and sweet. Excellent service. Food is mediocre but the soup and salad is always good and the breadsticks were fresh. I opted for the Mediterranean shrimp scampi. I asked for extra sauce because my pasta was too dry. My sisters mashed potatoes for her chicken marsala were also COLD. Not luke warm, but cold. Tons of open tables no one walked by us to leave ad we were waiting so I'm not sure what was happening, and why our wait was 30 minutes. The waiter was good seemed forgetful at times, but overall ok service. Bottomless pasta.. umm yeah .right. My brother in law ordered the endless pasta. The second dish took 30 mins and by the time the 3rd dish came it was time for us to leave. I just think it was unbelievable, to order a dish that is endless and have it take that long to reach the table. All the food was sub par. Just not that good. My wife and I were out doing some last minute Christmas shopping and decided to get olive garden to go, we ordered our food online and went and picked it up, the hostess was very quick to run thru the order and send my wife on her way, but once we got home after our 45 min drive back to pulaski area from clay , we realized they did not have our order correct, they left out some appetizers.I have to think they ran thru the order so quickly as to confuse my wife so she did not realize the order was wrong. Everybody knows Olive Garden. It is very reliable food but not the best Italian food. It has a nice atmosphere but it seems like when we go in the winter it's colder necessary inside. Our waitress on this night rushed everything. The prices of bottles of wine she looked at me like I had three heads. They brought the salads out immediately which was fine but then they brought our meals out three minutes later. She gave us great service but when we were halfway through asked us if we wanted dessert and how we want to pay. I had the Italian trio. The lasagna was kind of blah the chicken Parm was over Friday, and the fettuccine Alfredo was OK. I didn't expect to finish what sounded like they large meal but they were really meager portions. So Olive Garden has been around long enough that I imagine everyone knows exactly who they are. I am a little shocked when I saw the review score because I have been coming here for years and I have never had a single bad experience. The food is always great and the staff are always very courteous. Me and my wife have been ordering the same thing now for a few months and it is extremely tasty! Its this beef dish with tortellini and a Marsala sauce. I always get the chicken and gnocchi soup to start. That soup is so divine that I always end up asking myself why I don't just eat the soup and breadsticks. That question is always answered when I get my entrée and I taste how good it is. They usually give you so much food that we always have enough to have for lunch the next day. Not sure how anyone gets an app or dessert here. I just never have the room. The only real issue I suppose, is that the costs are a little high. At the same time, most Italian restaurants are. I do recommend coming here though. read more

She even told us that Olive Garden allows you to purchase cheese graters through them, which was an amazing upscale since we had commented on it and mentioned our inability to find one like the ones at Olive Garden. When we walked in we were offered samples of the S'mores dessert cake, which was delicious, and I thought it was cool that they were offering samples in the first place. Everything was very clean, our waitress was excellent and friendly, and the food was delicious.
