I've eaten at chain restaurants before but for some reason this has only been the third time I've ever eaten at an Olive Garden. I think my last visit was like 20 years ago. Not sure why but it's just not a go to restaurant for me. We went here recently for a friend's birthday. I got the shrimp scampi for the main. Being lactose intolerant prevents me from ordering a lot of the menu (even with a lactose pill any dish with words cream sauce, 4 cheese or Alfredo is out for .d). I got the shrimp scampi as a main and the breadsticks and salad as the starter. The shrimp scampi was pretty good. It had a garlic butter kinda sauce and it had peas and asparagus. It felt like a good pasta for the spring. The breadsticks are delicious but we noticed a couple were plain and didn't seem to have that garlic butter on them. I really enjoyed the salad, and a couple of my friends got the gnocchi soup. Since it was my friend's birthday she got a free desert and the waiter (who was super friendly and helpful) wrote happy birthday on the plate in chocolate sauce. Cute. I enjoyed my meal and with the breadsticks and salad beforehand I took some home for leftovers. The downside for me is there's just a lot on the menu I can't order. But I did enjoy hat I had and for $30 (before tips) I got a filling meal. Not sure when I'll be back to Olive Garden but maybe I won't wait 20 years to come back. read more

I visited Olive Garden with family and unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience due to the service. Our server (Don) barely spoke to us, only grunting one or two words at a time. For example, he would stand silently at our table with a notepad, expecting us to order, without greeting or offering any guidance. He never asked about sides or offered any suggestions, which made the whole interaction uncomfortable. The food itself was average, nothing particularly memorable. However, the lack of basic hospitality made the entire visit unpleasant. I even emailed management afterward to share my experience, but I never received a response. Overall, the poor service completely overshadowed the meal. I would not return to this location and cannot recommend it to others. Sent a message to corporate regarding the subpar experience and was supposed to be contacted by the location's management but no one has ever reached out. OG is in a category if it's own. we love unlimited portions but it has to come with a caveate of its own. Unlimited salad.. very basic but dressing is very salty. The tomatoes were mush. The Italy trio was sloppy. Chicken parm was so salty that it's inedible. new one was better. Fettuccine was good but small portion. The lasagna was salty and the ratio meat to ricotta cheese was low on protein. Desserts chocolate lasagna and tiramu were really good. Breadsticks very bland and very white. Our trip to Edmonton for Volleyball Nationals was even more exciting because we missed the Olive Garden after they shut down in Ontario. Our first meal after landing and checking into the hotel was straight to pasta town! We had two hungry teenage athletes with us, and the bottom-less soup/salad/breadsticks was perrrrfect. Mom and I walked in and immediately smelled a musty old carpet smell. It reminded us of soiled bed sheets or old vacuum bags. Ambiance felt like it was 25 years too late. This location would benefit from a robust renovation. Don't get us even started with the music. If you're going to try and make a restaurant chain into a mock-authentic Italian restaurant with 1950's Italy radio, sorry, don't bother trying. We sat down and ordered drinks with sides of water. No water ever came. Our pepper shaker was empty and we asked for more. Never got more pepper for our food. Food was mediocre but warm. After not so good first experience here, we decided to give this place another try. Surprisingly, this time we had a wonderful experience from ordering online to the taste and quality of their food. You can place order on their website or App and there is a carside pickup available for all the orders. Repeated one dish from our last visit which everyone loved - Chicken Marsala with Chicken and Gnocchi Soup. Another delicious entrées we ordered was Asiago cheese filled Tortelloni baked in Alfredo and topped with slices of Grilled Chicken. Paired this dish with Pasta e Fagioli Soup. This combination tasted delightful. All the Entrées come with your choice of Salad or dressing and 2 breadsticks. I had not been to an Olive Garden since before Covid so when 2 family members were in town, we decided to head to the one on Gateway. It was a very short wait and what we were most impressed with is our server Aakash. He was a very new server and it was clear he wanted to make our experience a good one. One in the group has Celiac disease and our server was most accommodating and made sure that he served only what was appropriate for someone with this disease. The food was just as I remembered and we did enjoy the salad (croutons on the side) and breadsticks for two of us. Overall, Aakash's attentiveness and pleasant manner made our visit to this Olive Garden enjoyable. read more

We came here for Jeffs 20 years at work lunch. No one had been to an olive garden for years. Doug recalled an old college who would come for lunch for the endless soup, salad and bread sticks deal. They still had the deal, but the price had gone up over the years. We all had some sort of pasta. And of course the salad and breadsticks. Once i had the salad, i remembere that they put raw onions in the salad. Something i do not like and find a bit weird. But its fine i will live. I had the lasagne. It was also fine. Not the best i have had, but i am pretty harsh judge of lasgne. It was a bit small and could have used more filling. All together it qas a good placs for lunch and we should try to work it into the rotation now that a lot more people are back in the office and we can go out again. read more

I grew up loving the Olive Garden, it was always a special Treat. As an adult I know it's not the pinnacle of fine Italian cuisine - but I still really appreciate it. I was there this past Sunday for lunch, the restaurant is undergoing Reno's but that doesn't matter too much, our server was friendly and helpful and very attentive (but not annoyingly so) The breadsticks are a classic, and so is the bottomless salad. Honestly I could probably just go to town on breadsticks and salad and be happy. They have a deal on while I was there to buy one and take one to go, basically two pasta dishes (from a select menu) for about $20. I decided to take advantage of this. My food was great, and my mom was thrilled with her dish as well. And after we finished the waitress brought out my take home meal right away. It was really a trip that made me remember why I always enjoyed the Olive Garden so much. read more

Curbside pickup was fast and friendly. All was packed carefully. Salads were okay and breadsticks warm but a little dry it was 930 PM so understandable. Generous potions of the Italy Trio, lasagna was delicious meaty and cheesy, fettuccine Alfredo creamy and fresh and the chicken parm was spicy all that I wanted. Fresh lemonade refreshing. I ordered for pickup here not too long ago, typically love the olive garden but I was very disappointed in it this time. So I chose the curbside pickup where they come out to my vehicle with our order. Well I got to the restaurant exactly at the time I had requested my order for. I hadn't received the notification text so I called the restaurant to let them know I had arrived and was told my order wasn't ready yet but it would be out shortly. I figured okay that's fine usually that means it will be about five minutes or so. Well a second phone call and twenty minutes later my order was finally ready. Unfortunately when they brought it out to me it wasn't even hot. It had felt and tatsed like it was almost room temp as if it had just been sitting inside their restaurant this whole time getting cold. Was a fairly disappointing dinner. read more

I must be getting really lucky lately! I came in here the other day with my 5 year old daughter after a morning of errands for a big girl reward lunch. We had the most fabulous server ever! I was really surprised by the kids meal. Under $7 - chicken, pasta, grapes, orange slice, milk, choice of side and of course breadsticks which she filled up on :-) I thoroughly enjoyed the Portabello ravioli in a sundried cream sauce although my dish was a tad luke warm. It had been about two years since my family had been here, so we decided it would be great to head back to celebrate my birthday. The renovations they did turned out great by the way! Our server Chantel was awesome for the entire time we were there: very attentive, professional and friendly from start to finish. We had some great food, the drinks were good, and the nice atmosphere made us wanna come back much sooner than the break we took last time! My pic wouldn't upload, but they make a delicious Chicken Alfredo that's hard to beat with its rich sauce and generous serving of fresh chicken, sauce and pasta to go with it. This restaurant is a must for anyone who appreciates top notch Italian cuisine. Went here for a family dinner, super busy service was good and quick. Ordered 6oz steak and what came out resembled what looked like a thin burnt hamburger patty ... with asparagus on the side which looked like it had been steamed or cooked until it was dehydrated and teeny tiny, not worth the money that was spent and I will be taking a scale to weight the 6 oz steak IF I ever come back again. In this post pandemic world I have noticed that the big chains are open but the small cafés, that I prefer, can't afford to open with the new provincial regulations. So I find myself at Olive Garden where I haven't been for many years. We ordered the all you can eat soup and salad which comes with bread sticks. The salad is just as I remember it which is quite good. There is lots of variety of the usual ingredients in the salad. We finished off two bowls of salad between us. That's a lot of food but it's healthy. We also had two different soups each. They're served in small portions so it's easier to try more than one. The two we tried tasted remarkably similar to each other. Coffee was served in a carafe so we could top our cups up when needed. Overall the price was quite good for a quick and healthy lunch. The dishes were fine, better than average, but not outstanding. Basically just what one expects from a chain restaurant. Always good but never great. read more

I had lunch at your location yesterday 24 Mar. When my party arrived they informed the hostes that i would be using a mobility device (scooter) they were seated and i was directed to their location when i arrived. A short time later we were told we needed to move so servers with trays could pass. My scooter was not blocking the isle, there was plenty of room to pass. It was unwarrented and embarrassing. The food and service were fantastic but because of the poor treatment i will no longer recommend or use your establishment. read more

My boyfriend and I always love going here! The price for the amount of food you get is awesome. Their salad dressing is so yummy. Rarely will they serve salad that isn't fresh looking. The servers are only allowed to serve max 4 (or 3? I can't remember) tables at a time so service is always good. My favourite thing on the menu is the steak Gorgonzola which, to my dismay, has been recently changed They used to make it with steak medallions to which you could have cooked your way. Now they use braised beef. It's still good, but my boyfriend and I found that the flavours of the braised beef don't mesh as well with the sauce compared to the steak medallions. None-the-less! It had been probably over a decade since I visited an Olive Garden restaurant when I visited this one this time. And while the focus of the restaurant is more on quantity than quality (partly because it's a great family friendly restaurant with good kids' options and unlimited beverage, breadsticks, soup, and salad (and in the case of the unlimited pasta bowl, pasta) options. Our server was really quite attentive and seeing as we arrived before the dinner rush we were seated right away which was wonderful. I like the fact that one can change the soup or pasta option for the unlimited menu options for different servings (though I'll admit that my first pasta serving was too large and so I didn't get to try any others). The raspberry iced tea was a bit overly sweet but was otherwise good. The restaurant is kept reasonably clean and seems to run like a well oiled machine given the number of guests who come through the doors including many families with children. All in all I had a good experience and would come back. read more

I went to the south side Olive Garden restaurant for a Galentine's lunch date. We were seated almost immediately and the server greeted us quickly. We decided to both try their shrimp scampi lunch size and the server allowed us to switch the pasta to fettuccine instead of angel hair. We opted for unlimited salad versus soup and filled up on warm crispy bread sticks! The server allowed us to sample two different white wines, both moscatos and fruity. It was perfect for a lunch pasta and complimented the meal perfectly. I think I have a new favourite fruity sweet white wine now! My only complaint was the portion size of the lunch shrimp scampi was very small, had I known I would have just ordered the entree size and brought the extra home for the price difference. They did have quite a decent amount of shrimp on the lunch portion so I was please with that along with their delicious pasta sauce. read more

No complaints. Took kids for lunch. Not amazing...but not really geared to be. I alwways enjoy the soup/salad/breadsticks you get for "free". Rhe activities provided actually kept the kids entertained till the food arrived (which is really rare!). Kids meals are a solid value and oroved to be more than enough pasta. I came here for my cousin's son's 3rd birthday. Wait staff were friendly enough, but I am incredibly unimpressed with the soup and salad I received - which was the only thing I ordered as I did not have much of an appetite. I ordered the Zuppa Toscana soup with their usual salad. For the soup itself, the portion was served in a shallow bowl barely larger than the size of my palm and the salad was drenched in dressing. Imagine my disappointment when the bill came and I was charged $15 for my soup and salad which is not priced anywhere on the menu?? The menu only indicates that the soup I ordered was $7.99. I think it's pretty fair to assume that would have included a salad when you can order an unlimited pasta meal with a soup or salad included for $11.99. Anyone who knows me well, knows I'm not a fan of chain food, but the Olive Garden is a guaranteed pleaser when undecided about dinner. Sure it's formulated, but it seldom disappoints and this location is no exception and has earned that extra star, despite being part of a formulated chain. It was perfect for an after movie meal with the family. The servings are more than generous and the bread is hard to ignore, so if there was ever any advice to give, it would be to save the bread for sopping up the sauce. Well, it's that or share an entree and indulge in all the bread you want. And well done to an American chain that as a BC wine on it's list. It was noted. Came to this OG tonight with 7 others hoping for a better experience than the West End location. Very surprising of the very good service they had. The manager came out with two servers and introduced them to the group. Appetizers were pretty good, bread sticks were really good, salad was great. Most of our entrées were pretty good. One friend ordered a Marsala Chicken, it was a bit bitter because of the wine sauce. To some it might be OK, the server did ask if she wanted something else and offered to exchange. As it was bitter to her she asked for then to take it back and get another soup. The manager came and checked on the friend and asked again if she wanted something different and after the confirmation that the soup was enough, the manager confirmed the entrée was taken off the bill. Must say this service was a lot better than our experience on the 21st of December 2014 at the West End location. Something that the Olive Garden can take as an example to use across the board. Other little things to note, this restaurant was stocked with garnishments for their drinks be it oranges, Strawberries etc. We were not told of not having anything out of stock. The one thing I would say is none of us knew of the Buy One Get One deal until one of our party members recalled seeing something on t.v. Basically the staff should have told us about it and advise of the deal. Although it was sitting on a placard card on the table, alot of us were looking at the menus they gave us and took the things on the table as dessert menus. I went in for lunch the other day after so long here. The staff was pleasant and surprisingly I was able to get good parking. My friend and I both had our 4 month old babies with us, so we have a stroller and car seat. They were so helpful and right away made sure we had spacious area. They even brought my friend a stroller seat! Very helpful indeed! We went on ordering the virgin drinks, one was the mint and the other one was the very berry. Boy were they refreshing! So perfect for the hot day out! They brought us the salad and bread like they normally do which is always so delicious ! We had shrimps from the appetizer menu and I got the portobello mushroom ravioli! My god!! It was so delicious!!! Eveyone has so much flavour and it was cooked to perfection! The best thing is that it was so nice and warm when it wa brought out ! I would defiantly be going back! The prices are good, for about 6 pieces of ravioli it was $14.98 ish. Haven't been to an Olive Garden in 8 years, so for our 6th year wedding anniversary I wanted to take my husband who has never been to one. Our server Sarah was excellent, friendly, helpful, and cheerful. I was a little sad that the full menu wasn't available, but the dish I wanted most of all was available so it didnt really matter. Plus, I understand that we are living in a difficult time right now, so I'm thankful that we even got to be there today. The busser was also very prompt with taking away the dishes which is always appreciated. All in all, a wonderful visit to your establishment today. I have always heard great things about Olive Garden, and every time I drive by the place is packed. I unfortunately have not had the best experiences at this location. I will not comment on the long wait to be seated during peak times (expected if you dine at this location). The kids loved their food, the activity book and the endless bread sticks (great because when you have 3 kids or more, each meal becomes a free-for-all when food is in short supply). My food was decent for the price point but definitely was a bit of a let down. The service varied from poor to above average over the 4 times I have been to this location. read more
