It's been a long time since we last here. As always I know what I'm ordering. I am also getting the salad. And for lunch It's their shrimp scampi, it comes with sliced tomatoes and asparagus. Which they cut into pieces of which I don't care for. But our server Tim. said that he would ask kitchen not to cut. They didn't cut them but were a bit Al dente, which I don't care for. It's been a while, since we were last here. This place is quiet, it sure is not a dump, I would say that the service is very good. The decir if flowers and paintings make the place welcoming and hospitable. We were bought soup for Bob and salad for me. I do love their salad. I ordered the shrimp scampi, it comes with angel hair, tomatoes and asparagus. I like asparagus but they cut it into small pieces which I don't care for. The shrimp scampi was a bit dry. Ordered for pickup and my food was brought out promptly once I said I was there. I left special instructions on my order and they were adhered to. The restaurant itself looked well kept and inviting. Had I not been dining alone I would have eaten there. The woman who brought my food to the car greeted me with a smile and passed me the food I ordered. Food was good, maybe a little salty but good. I got the Chicken Parm. I wish linguini had been a pasta choice as I would have opted for that over spaghetti. Overall I would recommend this Olive Garden to a friend. read more

First trip to Olive Garden in more than 10 years. After a short wait around 10 minutes we were seated. Devin was our server and he was diligent about looking after us during service. We passed on appetizers and ordered Chicken & Gnocchi soup and wife got salad plus the never ending breadsticks. To be honest we only ate one round of breadsticks. Main courses were Stuffed Chicken Marsala and Seafood Alfredo. We shared the entrees and we were surprised how good it actually tasted. We are both former Brooklynites so we had eaten at many Italian restaurants can't say Olive Garden was on par with them but they were good and food was better than anticipated. This place is ok if you eat there (remember. NOT ITALIAN). Portions sizes are plentiful. The problem is takeout food, you will pay the same price that if you were being serve inside only to find out that the quantity and quality was TERRIBLE AND VERY SMALL. My husband and I, never question prices but this time we felt robbed. DO NOT order takeout. You will be waiting outside in your car, and somebody will bring it to you with a suggested tip printed on the receipt. my server was Joe (joseph D.D). we went to celebrate Mother's Day, and have a good time but honestly we were all disappointed, our server came and didn't introduce himself we got his name off the little paper and he's name tag. we got seated and our table was not cleaned off, food came quickly which we loved but our food was all dry and our silverware was not like the rest of the tables around us. we got plain napkins with just forks not even wrapped in the napkin. Ordered fried mozzarella in addition both times, and also added pasta fagioli for a larger group. Plenty of lettuce, bread sticks, pasta, & sauces. I came here for a pick up order with my husband. We are spending a few days in fishkill, and wanted some pasta preferably from olive garden (don't judge us) lol. The restaurant was 15 minutes away from where we are staying, which was very convenient. As we got there , we pulled into the pickup section which was easy to find . From the outside looking in the restaurant seems big in size with lots of seating. Our food was out in less than 10 minutes, the young lady who brought the food out was very sweet. We ordered the seafood pasta , Italian trio , calamari, extra bread sticks with a large Alfredo dip, and two soups. The total was a little over $70. Olive garden is olive garden, you either like it or you don't. We highly enjoyed our food (although we have lots of left overs) lol. The only reason why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the calamari was a tad bit salty, as if they used to much salt in the batter . I am not a fan of Olive Gardens. There is so much better places to eat at other than OG. The food is all prepackaged, and just heated up. I ordered the Chicken parmigiana, and it came with a choice of soup. My choice of soup was the Zuppa Toscana. To my surprise the soup was actually good, but the Chicken parm not so much. The chicken was tough and the spaghetti sauce was not the kind I like. I'm more of a sweet red sauce than just regular red sauce. For me I will avoid coming here, but I get it. I've been pretty unhappy with Olive Garden lately. I've placed about 4 orders at this location so far and this is the third order that has been incorrect or there's been an issue. The first two issues were the same. I did not receive chicken that was added to one of the pastas at an extra charge. I let it go because everything else was so delicious. This time, there was a much bigger issue. We ordered gluten free pasta and received regular pasta. This was extremely problematic because I can't eat regular pasta. After giving them a call and being transferred to 3 people we were offered a refund or invited back to pick up a new meal. Unfortunately we couldn't go back for a new meal and opted for the refund because we were tight on time. The receipt said regular pasta however, our order confirmation stated gf pasta. It appears someone made a mistake when the order was received and prepared. I really hope things like this stop happening. The food is always great and packaged really well. This time around I was only able to eat the salad that came with my meal. I'm hoping for a better experience next time. read more

This visit the food was not as good as past visit several weeks ago. Frito Misti shrimp app was good. Took a while to get soup and breadsticks came out early second round as dinner is served. Soups were good. The dinners not so good. Both chicken parm's were overdone chewy and woody. So too chicken in the Alfredo. Must have been a bad batch. Service took over hour and half. 1/21/19- Our party of 8 was able to be seated fairly quickly when we arrived after 5pm. The taste, portion size, and price is well worth coming here. The breadsticks were warm and the salad was tasty as well. We scarfed these quickly because we were all starving. Our waiter re-filled them quickly. My shrimp carbonara was full of flavor and probably could have been 2 servings, but like I said, we were all really hungry. So no leftovers. Only complaint was the slow service when it came to our drink orders. It took maybe +15 minutes for one of the wine orders because the bartender was backed up apparently. And I had also ordered a cappuccino but come to find out afterwards that there was something wrong with the espresso machine so they weren't able to make any espresso drinks. My brother and I ordered for takeout. The pickup was very easy and quick we were quite pleased. I made a huge mistake by not checking the bag before we drove away though. For some reason, whoever packed our to-go bag thought it would be a great idea to put our soup ON THE BOTTOM of the bag. So as I stepped out of the car to bring the food bag inside my house, it broke and spilled our food everywhere. We lost both the soups that came with our dinner, and about 3/4 of each of our meals. I would just love to know what genius thought it was a great idea to put soup on the bottom of a fucking to-go food bag. So I spent $50 for about 1/4 of two meals. Olive Garden, my favorite comfort restaurant! The restaurant I go to when I don't want to risk a good day since I know what to expect. I like the coziness of it. I like the booths and the dim lighting, I like the Frank Sinatra that they are playing. It's always relaxing to me. There's no point in reviewing the food since everyone in america and their grand mother knows about what they serve. I do want to talk about one thing though, I like soups and pasta e fagioli is one of my favorite soups and in the past I tried it once every few years, just to check, and it always tasted like canned soup to me ( which I don't eat). But today, finally! Today it tasted like home made soup! A bit sour, from the tomatoes sauce I'm guessing, but it was good. Now I have something I can eat there that I truly enjoy! The waiter was nice,not super personable but polite and professional. Food came out as usual, fast. We were done in 1 hour. They also fixed the smell problem when you enter. It used to smell like bleach and 4 day old fish but now it smells like fresh baked bread. The hostess was nice, smiling and pleasant. Ok so we used to frequent the Kingston Olive Garden because it's one of our go-to staples: breadsticks, soup and pasta, consistent and delicious. Unfortunately, it closed during covid and never really came back. We drove almost 40 minutes today for Olive Garden for the first time in so long and it did NOT disappoint. The food is always consistent and we love it, but the staff here was the most remarkable part. First off, the hostess was apologetic about a FIVE MINUTE wait! They are definitely adhering to social distancing guidelines because the tables they are seating guests are super far apart and very private. Our waitress, CLAIRE, was truly one of the best costumer service experiences I have ever had. Service was so fast (an hour total from walking into the restaurant to walking out). Claire gave us drink and food recs, was super knowledgeable about the menu, and was so incredibly friendly, and continuously went the extra mile for us. She was attentive and overall awesome! My daughter wanted to eat here but I for one am not a fan. Anyway, the waitress was friendly and accommodating. We did enjoy the salad and bread sticks. We had ordered a child's pizza, spaghetti and meatballs, a salmon dish and pasta with a creamy marinara sauce. Childs pizza was good, creamy marinara sauce was returned as my daughter did not like it. A plain marinara sauce was then given with the new plate of pasta without a problem. Meatballs were salty. The food is edible and okay, but it isn't going to remind you of Italy. I tend to stay away from olive gardens because I am not a fan of their food other than the breadsticks and salad. A few points ONE. This is clearly not authentic Italian food, nor will it be the best Italian food you've ever eaten TWO. Unlimited soup and salad (I actually enjoy these more than the entrees) THREE. The service is extremely streamlined and they have iPads (I'm all about efficiency so love paying on the iPad) FOUR. I can't believe I'm writing a review about Olive Garden, but I really want to get to point FIVE. $10.99 UNLIMITED PASTA or I've even seen 5.99 lunch specials. People who write in the reviews below that this isn't authentic, etc etc... well no way, go figure. This place is all about a value. The waiter encouraged us by asking if we wanted refills of salad even as we were reaching the end of the meal and let us pack everything to go. So essentially left with another full bowl of pasta, salad and breadsticks AFTER eating a bowl, salad, etc already there. If you hear of a better deal (besides 99 cent pizza, although you certainly won't have a waiter asking you if you want a lemon in your water there) where you get this kind of service please educate me. SIX. Obviously recommend. After living in the city for 3+ years, I still find myself getting excited over some small suburban staples whenever I find myself escaping the city. I haven't been here in over ten years and when I tell you the food is beyond gross! The Alfredo sauce was mainly roux with too much flour and little cheese. It was literally clumpy! The pasta was clumped together like it was cooked in large batches and sitting there still cooking even when removed from the pot. The breadsticks were covered in table salt and service was subpar. The only thing that bothered me was that we were seated in the back one night where the employees hang out by the kitchen and they were gossiping about a new waitress where customers could literally hear everything that was being said- females of course .
