Run, don't walk away from this salon. The stylist disappeared (as in, no longer working) after ruining my granddaughter's hair before homecoming AND the owner, who consulted on the job at a pre-color appointment, was completely unwilling to stand behind their work or fix the problem. The color job was done upside down and didn't bear any resemblance to the color the owner promised they could provide...despite having pictures to work from. We ended up with light orange roots and black hair instead of her natural black roots fading into mulberry. We are new to the area, and I wish we had been aware of the lack of integrity and talent at Olive Tree Spa. I highly recommend choosing one of the several other salons in Middletown/Hidden Valley Lake. read more

Really nasty phone manners this morning from the woman who told me, and I quote " Asking to get your hair cut by our best haircutter is offensive to me." I explained to her that the woman who had cut my hair last time in her salon cancelled my appointment hours before the cut on Saturday via text (due to illness), then told me to call her when I got to town 10 miles away, then has not picked up or responded to me since. I have phoned and texted her at least a half dozen times. The woman who answered the phone at Olive Tree, who appeared to be in charge, balled me out for telling her this. I would give negative stars for this mean, rude, nasty woman's behavior if it were possible. Bad way to run a business, unless your intention is to run it into the ground. read more
