When we arrived, the hostess guided us to one of their private rooms downstairs, which was spacious enough to comfortably fit around 20-25 people--perfect for a group celebration. We had our own dedicated server, which made everything feel really seamless. They kept our drinks flowing the entire time, and it was a huge plus not having to flag anyone down. For food, I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The coleslaw on it added great flavor (honestly, I just wish there was a bit more of it). It came with fries that were perfectly crispy--exactly how fries should be. Overall, I had a really enjoyable time. Located in one the busiest areas in Astoria. There's always plenty of foot traffic. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was very good overall. It's a bonus that brunch is served everyday until 4pm. For our meal, we ordered the Hangover Skillet and the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes to share. Since there were only two of us, the portions were generous and left us satisfied. While the food and atmosphere were great. I wasn't impressed with the service. It was a perfect day for a weekday brunch outdoors, and though the sun was beaming on our faces until we couldn't open our eyes, the weather was a breath of fresh air. My partner started off with a bloody mary which he thoroughly enjoyed (and considered opting for a bottomless brunch option until i reminded him that he drove here). I got the lemon ricotta pancakes which was pleasantly sweet, without the drizzle being too overpowering. The fresh fruits complimented the fluffy stacks of pancakes and was perfect for a light meal. Stumbled upon this place while looking for brunch. I was drawn in because it was busy. BTW they serve brunch every day, not just on the weekends like most places. I tried the Astoria Burger. What a delicious burger! It was a simple burger, but incredibly juicy and full of flavor - cheddar, avocado, chipotle aioli, all nestled in a very toasted brioche bun. Oliver's is the type of place you know you've been to before, but you can't recall what you ate or whom you were with. The food is somewhat typical bar/brunch food and definitely decadent. I had the Astoria Burger and my husband had The Royale. I ordered my burger medium, and it came out very well done, but the chipotle mayo and avocado did a decent job of lubricating it, and the fact that I could get tots on the side made everything much better. My husband also found the eggs on his Royale to be overcooked, but he liked the added béchamel and the Canadian bacon. He upgraded to the truffle fries on the side, which were very crispy and delicious. We each had a Bloody Mary, which could've used a bit more horseradish and spice. Our server was great. We stopped by Oliver's in Astoria for brunch and it never disappoints. We've been here several times, and the food is always solid and the vibe is super chill. This time around we ordered the wings,chicken fingers with fries the breakfast burrito, and the Astoria Burger. My friend switched it up and got her Astoria Burger with grilled chicken instead of beef, plus a gluten-free bun -- and they had no problem making the substitution. Everything came out fresh and flavorful. For drinks, we had Malbec and Bloody Marys, which paired perfectly with the food and made brunch feel extra cozy. What a way to start our summer 2025! We came here last week and had a blast. They had happy hour and we all got the same drink; the queen of queens. It was refreshing and had just the right amount of alcohol. For appetizers, We shared truffle fries and mozzarella sticks. Then I had the Cobb salad with chicken. Everything was so good. I would have liked the mozzarella sticks to be less bready and more cheesy though. We had a really good time! We got to sit outside and our waitress was so sweet. Came for lunch on a weekend and enjoyed the food that we ordered. Ordered a hot toddy and cozy chai martini - the hottie warmed me up from the inside, and the martini was sweet and tasted like mocha. For food, got the French toast sticks to share, the cheeseburger and martini daily special ($20), an avocado toast with smoked salmon supplement (extra $8), and breakfast potatoes as a side. Personally, the breakfast potatoes really hit. Well seasoned with onions and peppers - the side plate had a great proportion! The French toast sticks were especially good - sweet but not too sweet. The fresh strawberries and blueberries on top cut through the buttery and cinnamon-y sweetness. Adding smoked salmon into the avocado toast was the way to go. Unfortunately, the burger was quite dry and although a great deal, would not recommend it. Take note, the restaurant is quite loud and lively. read more

French toast sticks and fried pickles...definitely seems like the ideal meal on a random Monday before 1pm. I came here on a lazy mid day Monday with a friend to catch up. We walked in and it pretty quiet. I'm sure b/c people are at work, while I'm galavanting all over the city during the summer. Anywho we were told to sit anywhere. Now for the food...besides the aforementioned my comrsde ordered the breakfast potatoes and the breakfast biscuit sliders. I washed it down with a hibiscus mimosa. We're in the month of January and somehow there was a smashed hover fly on one of the ice cubes in my ginger ale. Someone did come over and apologize which made me feel better but the food was very mediocre and bland so I wish I left after discovering the bug in my drink. I ordered a medium well steak with eggs ($31). The steak was very overcooked, lacking flavor, and the entire piece of steak was surrounded by inedible gristle. To make it worse my salad had mushy wilted bitter greens all throughout it so the taste was unpleasant. The potatoes were dried out. The music was also EXTREMELY loud to the point my ears were hurting at 4pm. We will not be returning. read more

It was the best....except the food. I walked in with a friend to watch today's usa world cup game and the ambiance was great. They had the right decorations and were not too "sportsbarish". The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. Love it. But honestly the food was rather bland. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. Something off with the seasoning and my burger was cooked for way too long. I needed ketchup to cover the taste. The tater tots were flavorless. So I added salt and pepper to them. I tried to salvage the meal with some dessert . They can't get an ice cream brownie wronf can they? They did. The brownie had a drop of ice-cream......that didnt sit well with me. All in all if you're looking for a drink and some people mingling then this might be the place for you. But be sure to bring your own food if you want more then as the kids say "6 or 7'. read more

First, they seated us (a party of 3) at a small high top table for two, when there was a booth available, and I was told to move my chair out of the way of the aisle and squish together at all already small table which was a bit frustrating, so we asked to move. They let us and everything was fine service-wise after that. I ordered a sunrise mocktail and it didn't taste like much more than a Sprite, I think the ratio was a bit off. Then we got Buffalo chicken empanadas, mac and cheese and the Bavarian pretzels to start. I am not a Buffalo chicken gal so I won't speak on that but the mac and cheese was alright but packed with black pepper. I prefer a creamier, mild sauce. The same cheese sauce was used as a dipping sauce for the soft pretzels. The pretzels were great, really hit the right spot. I got the carne asada quesadilla and it was pretty good but really hard to eat without getting extremely messy as the sauce and garnishes were drizzled all over it, so I had to eat it with a fork and it hardly stayed together. The campfire brownie actually did have roasted marshmallows but the marshmallows were charred so much that you couldn't tell what was a brownie and what was a roasted marshmallow by looking at it. I know that's how some people like their marshmallows but it also shrinks them so the ratio to ice cream was a bit off. It was piled with ice cream and had the world's smallest brownie underneath. The brownie does NOT go to the rim of the small skillet like one of those skillet cookies, that is the roasted marshmallow around the rim you see in the picture. It was good despite being disproportionate. Overall nothing spectacular and nothing horrible, just meh I suppose. read more

Went for a Sunday brunch without a reservation. Service took a really long time and it was cold outside. But we asked to be seated inside and they found a seat for us. The GM came out and apologized for the wait, asked if we needed anything. Asked for another coffee and he brought out two. I can't believe I've been in Astoria for so long and just tried Oliver's this past month. A family friend took me out for lunch here, I fell in love & decided to go back with my uncle. (& puppy). Our waiter was so kind and welcoming, he started off by asking how our day was & genuinely cared. My uncle goes "I don't remember the last time someone had such great energy". As for food, we ordered 2 apps & 2 desserts (judge away, it was one of those days where comfort food was needed hehe). The mozz stick's & carnita quesadilla were both so flavorful. Not too greasy, but just right. As for dessert, we ordered the brownie & donut holes. The brownie was out of this world - the marshmallows were toasted and felt like they came out of a bonfire. We shared a few appetizers and they were all pretty good. The mac and cheese fell short of our expectations though, it was a bit bland. It looked way better than it tasted. I got the brunch tots .... Firstly , the eggs were cooked wonderfully - very tasty soft scrambled eggs exactly how I enjoy them! However all of that was overshadowed by the fact that the tots were smooshed in a container far too small, that it essentially became a large tater tot mass with far too few pieces of their microscopic bacon and sausage. Lastly and sadly (the reason I ordered it in the first place) the Hollandaise sauce was missing from the dish as well. 4 stars because I've eaten there in person and they are usually fantastic - I guess just don't order delivery. read more

Came here for a weekday brunch (pretty empty) and we got the bougie BEC and the loaded hash browns. The brunch menu had a lot of interesting and tasty sounding items that aren't on the regular menu, so I'll have to come back! The bougie BEC was good and it came with nicely roasted potatoes, although I could've used some ketchup or sauce with it. The sandwich had a nice fig jam and candied bacon that gave some sweetness which I was craving. The loaded hash browns were not what I was expecting with just the sour cream and smoked salmon on top, but not the restaurant's fault. Second, the food was delicious - we had the chicken and waffles ($20) and the buttermilk biscuit sliders ($18), both of which came with sriracha honey. The chicken and waffles were crispy and well-seasoned, and we were very fond of the sriracha honey. The steak from the steak and eggs ($31) was tender and juicy. The salmon rice bowl ($25) was good. There was a good portion of salmon, but just know that it comes with salmon skin (which I'm fond of, however I know some people would prefer just the skinless fillet). It came with a sriracha ranch sauce; my only complaint is that I wish it had a little more heat. The spiked hot cocoa (it's on their in-person menu - $12) was so good, we got seconds! I went to this restaurant for happy hour with a couple of my colleagues. Overall I enjoyed the food. My favorite are there wings. They cook them so perfectly. Nice crunch to them then toss then in sauce. The Thai chill sauce is good. I had regular bbq wings. I also had truffle fries. My one of my colleague had the shrimp tacos and my other colleague had the chicken parm and a side of truffle fries. They both had sangria's and one Spicy Margarita and one Queen of Queens. Lisa a waitress was awesome. She checked in on us and was very accommodating. Warm and friendly personality. I love the disco ball that rotates up in the ceiling. This place is big. Oliver's is a great find! Located right on Broadway they have a wide assortment of dishes to choose from. There were so many delicious appetizer choices, I was sincerely overwhelmed. I went with the fried goat cheese balls with a hot honey dipping sauce which was delicious. I also had the everything pigs in a blanket that were so good! For my main course I had the salmon rice bowl. All of the flavors paired well together; basmati rice, green peas, scallion, avocado salsa, sesame seeds, sriracha ranch.
