This restaurant is NOT my favorite. My husband and I went for breakfast and for $10 each you got the tiniest plate of food I've ever seen. It was at lunch I asked about chips and salsa (other restaurants here automatically serve them at lunch) and was told they did not come with the meal but we could order them. Went for lunch today. We have been there several times. My Guy likes their enchiladas. Usually the food is okay and the service is a bit lacking. However, today was much worse!! They were very busy, so we assumed we might have to wait a bit, which was okay! We sat and ordered and received our drinks just fine. Then the waitress came back by our table about 20 minutes after we ordered to clarify what we ordered. While waiting to get our food, we watched party after party that came in after us receive their food. After waiting for over 45 minutes... I received my plate of COLD FOOD!! My guys plate was not ready yet!! My guy advised the waitress that after waiting for over 45 minutes my food was cold (my guy was not rude at all he simply said "we have waited over 45 minutes and that my food was cold"), she took my plate and brought back his plate of hot food. I told him to go ahead and eat (there was no reason for him to eat cold food either)!! A few minutes later the waitress brought my plate. The kitchen simply took the plate and microwaved the entire thing SALAD AND ALL!!! So I received hot food and HOT SALAD!! The cooks could have taken two extra seconds to remove the salad and properly microwave the plate!! THEY OBVIOUSLY WERE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT MAKING THINGS RIGHT!!! Then we heard our waitress speaking with another customer, he told her to smile. She then started telling him it was not a great day and that customers were not being very nice (I did notice some irritated looking faces in the crowd, But I did not notice anyone being rude to the staff)!! They have to be the rudest people ever. When we pulled in the parking lot the sign said closed. There was a lady walking in the side door so I asked if they were open because the sign said closed and she just shrugged her shoulders and walked inside. We saw someone walk in , so we went inside there was one waiter and he was running like crazy so evidently the locals know to go in if the sign says closed! Come to find out she was one of the owners and she had the sourest attitude ever!!!! read more

Food only so so. Gorditas were mushy instead of a nice crispy outside. Our server was pretty unattentive and forgetful. The worst of the worst sin was that they used American cheese. Olivia's parking lot was full. Good sign that the food is good. Three of us (Rick, Teri & Bo) ordered chicken fried steak and also a hamburger. Chicken fried steak was homemade and not the frozen stuff. Steak was tender and tasted great. French fries were also homemade and not frozen . Everything was good, cream gravy, salad and Texas toast. Plenty of good ice tea. The service was also good considering how crowded it was inside at 1:00 pm. They close at 2:00 pm. CFS was $7.25 with tea extra. The food is really good for the price. You can pass Olivia' easily if you not paying attention. Going west on US Hwy 90 just pass US Hwy 173 (about 1/2 mile pass Hwy 173 on the right. Just look for the crowded parking lot. We ate here and it was awesome. When we pulled in, we did not really know what to expect, however, after getting inside, it seemed to be a small family owned restaurant. The food was great and the prices were relatively cheap.
