Was greeted by the server and she suggested the 5 Charcuterie plate which included some sausage, ham, sheep & cow's milk cheese & Rabbit Rilletes. Excellent Charcuterie & paired perfectly with the Blanc Chavignol. The table next to me had a Rilletes sampler (Duck, goose, chicken & rabbit) which looked really good! They have a small shop where you can buy various French delicacies (Foie Gras, various cured meats, etc). Also, wine and liqueurs. A little bit of Paris in CPH. It seems that Denmark was going through some similar,though more relaxed laws on this which are changing due to a persistent Frenchman. In talking to the owner we knew that he was a food lover in general based on some questoins he asked: Owner: " what would you like to try?" Us: "What do you love?" Owner: "I love everything here!" Us: "Let's narrow it down to what you consider special. We're looking for thing we wouldn't otherwise be able to get at home" Owner *pulling out tons of samples*: "Are you going to Noma?" Us: "Yes, we are looking forward to it" Owner: "You must be rich people." Us: "Uh not really but we do love food and it's high on the list here" Owner: "Well then you will love the live Fjord Shrimp dish with the brown butter. It is fantastic!" We laugh as we try all the delicious cheese he presents. We walk out with probably a half dozen different things in small quantities that we eat at the nearby square with our baked goods and butcher meats. It was a great eating day.

And Kabul, which has their entrance just a few steps further down Reventlowsgade is better part of the strangely conjoined Afghan/Kabul store front. Some random things that I was happy to find here are salt-free 100% peanut butter, Shana brand frozen paranthas, loose and bagged Ahmad teas. Not that you can't get these things at other places, but rarely are you going to find a one-stop shop for them. Frozen seafood selection is also good. Often there are cheap cheap 1 kilo bags of large shell-on tiger shrimp for half the price you would pay anywhere else. Seriously good stuff. The spice and fresh veggie selection is also impressive compared to other CPH ethnic shops.
