I only use this place for two reasons. The first is to fix something leather or vinyl of mine like…read morea corset or a skirt. They have a pretty large leather working area with lots of tools. I've gotten a leather hole puncher, eyelets, zippers,special needle... a lot. The second reason I go is to decorate like a birthday party or holiday haha. They have a lot of cool things you can buy to make your own original decorations. Staff is also incredibly helpful with these things. When I hosted my 3yo neices bday party In a frozen theme I was able to buy pretty beads, metallic silver thread, and silver fish hooks to make icicles like (from the tree in the movie) and a snowflake chandelier. Staff even directed me on the right type of paper to be bright white in light and strong enough to make custom snow flakes. Staff also suggested the right kind of beads to get so they shimmer in the day but glow on my lighting at night. I was even able to buy the right color sprinkles, muffin papers, and dye for her cupcakes there! When I looked at just buying these premade things online it was around $600. I was able to buy $180 worth of stuff from michaels to make my own and $100 on amazon for frozen wall clings. They can be pricy, but they are well worth a visit and their sales are great! I get all kinds of ideas for decorating when I go there.

I guess it's the price you pay to avoid long lines and screaming children. 3 stars instead of 4 because sometimes the fabric counter ladies are witches and treat you like you should be an expert seamstress to shop there. The Jamestown region already struggles with limited accessibility, variety, and quality in its retail options, and losing JCP and having another empty building in the area would only make that worse. The staff here genuinely seem well-trained (please take note Target and Walmart) and are consistently pleasant to interact with. I think a guy names Juan was famous for his customer service here, although I haven't seen him the last few times, but he was top notch. While JCP might not be the most exciting store, it's reliable for what it offers, and when I am here, I find myself choosing it over the other branded stores nearby.

There were for sale signs outside of the shop and they didn't seem to have as much product as photos in previous reviews. Still, they had quite a bit and the jewelry was gorgeous. We didn't end up purchasing because the store was so packed with people and that's not my vibe. My kids were fascinated with the selection of tarot cards and loved that they have sample cards for each deck so you can see what you're getting which I thought was a great idea. Prices were fair on the items I looked at. Hope to come back at a less crowded time for sure.

As anyone could imagine this made all of us uncomfortable. Even her co-worker looked on in shock as she continued to explain that the particular shade of gray and blue seemed to work for my wife but she would never... Frankly I was astounded that that a community member at Lily Dale would be so very rude! We left the store without out customary purchase of a necklace or some other bauble that delights our eyes.
