I've been a regular at this restaurant for many years, but sadly I have noticed the decline over the last year. I took some clients there yesterday for lunch and it was terrible! First off, our server did not write anything down with our party of four's order and when our food came to us, several things were wrong and missing. When we asked for these left out items, she failed to even bring them to us, so we had to ask another staff member to get them. I was so embarrassed, because I had recommended this restaurant to my clients. Also, our food was cold when we received it. The worst part of it all was that they were not busy, so there really was no excuse. Finally, it took us forever to get our check. Let me start out by saying that if you are in the northern reaches of the greater Miami metro area, which seems to include Palm Beach County, Olympic Taverna is doable for you. It's about half an hour north of the bigger clusters of population and can be combined with a trek to Jensen Beach or any of the quieter towns and beaches along or near the Intracoastal. You find yourself in this spic and span suburban area with manicured shopping centers, even if they're chain operations. Olympic Taverna is found on one of these retail islands and has the typical newer shopping center look. You wonder how it will go. It will probably go well. Olympic Taverna is clean, suitably illuminated inside, has interesting Greek graphics and such on the walls, and is a comfortable place to be. The service was attentive and good natured. I got the answers I needed about their vast menu. Yes, I had a combination type platter, preceded by a salad. Everything was good, or better than good. The meat in the main entree was standard fare along the lines of what you'd get in beef-lamb at most Greek eateries, but the Greek potatoes really hit the spot. Given that it's warm here, I had a refillable soft drink. I did not order a dessert. The pricing is just a tad above typical for some of the entrees, but keep in mind that Olympic Taverna is a nice establishment in a nicer area. There is also a bar here. And there is also a more Americanized menu - displayed on the other side of the menu - for breakfast and brunch. If I go to a Greek restaurant, it's for Greek food. Olympic appears to be a solid Greek eatery on all levels. And, if traveling to and from your location and the restaurant, keep in mind that I-95 and the Florida Turnpike are sort of intertwined in this area. Very Disappointing, I tried calling a few times and no one answers the phone. We get a long dark hair in my son's platter, sitting right inside the lid, we removed it and although disgusting we tried to move on. UNTIL I took a bite of my wrap and intertwined within my wrap was Another Long Dark hair in my first bite along with a sharp pointed Chicken Bone. How in the world can you make food and loose multiple hairs into people's food? If you cannot control hair in your food what else is going on? I will not go back, nor will I recommend anything from this restaurant. I hope they figure out the hair issues and whatever else might be going on. read more

Super disappointed . Have been here many times before and have never had such poor quality. I ordered a Greek salad with chicken to go. When I got to work and opened it up I was shocked to see rotten cucumbers on the salad. The lettuce did not appear fresh and was very skimpy. I actually live almost across the street from this restaurant. I really enjoy their food and with the new location the ambiance is very nice. There isn't a lot of places to get Greek / Mediterranean food right here in Palm City and I have to say though that the taverna does it the best. They need to up their service game a few notches, especially during the weekend breakfast crunch. They do try their best but it takes a really long time to get someone to take your order. I will say that once they place your order the food comes out relatively quickly. It's very noisy inside though. Couldn't help but notice lots of sour pusses on the staff. Don't why that is but definitely a turnoff. Also, it's one thing to bring a "service" animal outside but not a Great Dane for Crikes sake! If you can't leave your pet at home a few minutes while you eat breakfast, you got some serious problems. Tell these people that large dogs not welcome. One other thing. A restaurant with single-serve bathrooms is way out of date and lame. The men's room was quite filthy btw. Don't know what all these 5-star reviewers were but it definitely wasn't at this place lol. read more

Driving thru Stewart and hungry as a hog, I pull my old trusty YELP app and this is the closest restaurant that shows up and the first review I read is from my Foodie friend Shawn M.... it looks like this must have been divine intervention.... like the North Star appearing in the sky guiding this Nomad to his Oasis! We entered and were seated immediately by Ms Eileen who was our delightful server who automatically gave this establishment one star off the bat even without us starting our meal! I love a good Greek restaurant and have visited this place many times. The last few times have been underwhelming, and today was no exception. Three of the appetizer plates were dirty. The spinach pie came out burnt and dry, but the other dishes were good. The lemon rice soup, although quite salty, hit the spot with thickness and texture. Will I go back? Very authentic and very good Greek food. Everyone have tried is excellent. My usual is the Greek salad, love the feta cheese, beets and kalamata olives which are generating the salad. I find it very comfortable and accommodating which makes me want to frequent this local establishment on a regular basis. I've eaten here several times and was always pleased with my meal. Today, however, I ordered a take-out and was disappointed. All I wanted was a Greek salad - no extra protein, no onions and no olives or peppers. No big deal. I ordered on line and picked it up. At home I found a smallish amount of lettuce (about a large handful) a good amount of diced beets, a sprinkle of feta, 2 cucumber slices and 4 grape tomatoes, plus the dressing and a pita. I didn't think to take a photo, but this was the size of a nice dinner salad in some places. To their credit, the veggies were fresh and the pita was fresh and warmed. But for $12, I expected more. This was definitely not worth the cost. I'd give it 2-1/2 stars. read more
