I cannot even express how grateful I am to Children's Academy. My son started going to daycare…read morethere as a young toddler, under 2. We've experienced nothing but love, nurturing, care, and positivity from his daycare experience. Daycare is his favorite place outside of home. He loves the other kids and the care providers. We've had great communication and he's grown in speech, independence, and confidence. I don't worry while I'm at work and he's sleeping and eating better as well. The routine and structure have been wonderful for him.

I worked here for 6 months, and reported staff and management behaviors to licensing and CPS. They are very rough with children. A teacher was recently fired for things she has been doing for years, but now there's video proof of her physically abusing a child. Teachers are not allowed to tell parents ANYTHING other than "they had a good day". Children who were very obviously experiencing abuse or neglect at home were reported by teachers to CPS, only to have the owner say everything was fine. Staff turn over is high because no one can stomach what happens here, and the state does nothing. If you love your children, do NOT send them here.

Bordering my Grandma's house in Oak Harbor, Broad View Elementary School has been a place I have…read morevisited my entire life (she started living in the house before I was born). The school has a large grassy field, playground, and swings. Growing up, and nowadays when I visit my Grandma, I come to play, walk, or swing. A fence to the side by the dumpsters is kept open during non-school hours to allow public access to the grounds. Even on holidays it does not get too busy. When I was growing up, it was busier. However, that was before they added a perimeter fence. Wildlife also frequent the field, which can be fun to watch from the deck on my Grandma's house.
