Revive has been my nail salon for the past 2 years so I figured it was time to leave a well-deserved review. I love this place. I have been going about twice a month and I'm never disappointed. Dipping powder has transformed my nails and they have a great selection of dip colors. It's not a super fancy place or anything but I always find it to be clean and comfortable. The nail artists are all talented and sweet. Lately I have gotten manicures from Miriam and Vanessa and they are both skilled. I highly recommend Revive! This time around, I reached out to them because I had horrendous chipping on multiple nails and was told there's nothing they can do. I have been coming to Revive for 4 years now, but I have had enough. They have gone down hill in the past year. Their quality of service has declined drastically, they have increased their prices, and added an extreme cancellation policy. I made an appointment for a removal of a no chip manicure and a new no chip manicure. For whatever reason the booking application made the appointment for the no chip manicure from 9:30am-10:15am and the no chip removal for 10:15am-10:35am. I didn't think this would be a big deal, because I scheduled an appointment to do both, and blocked off enough time. I get a call at 9:17am saying that I didn't show up for my no chip removal and so they won't have enough time for me to get a no chip manicure. I am staring at my appointment time telling her it says my appointment started at 9:30am. She said the computer auto-changed it so the prep was before the no chip manicure. If that was the case, then why wouldn't they call me to let me know my appointment was now 20 minutes earlier? Why would they send me a confirmation e-mail confirming my appointment time for 9:30am? I am annoyed because I live one block from Revive and could have easily come in earlier had they just let me know ahead of time instead of calling to say it was too late and not believing me about what time I booked my appointment for. I honestly only even booked it with them because they are convenient. The truth is though, their services aren't good anymore. If I don't watch the person doing my nails like a hawk, they come out filled with air bubbles and painted poorly. read more

DON'T GO HERE.I used to go here all the time and even had my bridal party have their nails done here, however I've seen the quality of service and booking go downhill within the past 6 months and won't be coming back. Their booking appointment system is terrible and such a hassle. Even after you book the appointment online you have to have a confirmation. My name changed and I had to set up a completely new account and then the next two times I tried to go in, they called me and told me "oops, we messed up and now we can't have you here. Sorry it's our new booking system. Can you come tomorrow at 1pm?" No you idiots, I work a regular time job, which is why i requested an evening appointment slot request a specific time. I then booked my appointment again this weekend and went in for my appointment and they again, had no confirmation of my appointment. What's worse is that they make you provide your credit card information when you book online, so now my credit card information is floating in the their realm of service. Additionally, they made no attempt to have any form of customer service to apologize for the hassle or to try to fit me in or rebook my appointment given the error. I find it interesting that this location is coded as "No" for not needing an appointment to come in considering that you MUST have an appointment to come in. They shouldn't lie about what their servicing is like. I will never go here again. The fact that they've continued to increase prices and are completely inflexible in their booking even for loyal customers who have supplied good business to them for 2+ years of regular bookings is annoying. It seems that I'm not the only one who is having this issue. Instead of trying to keep customers they seem fine with losing them. I went to Revive for two years on a regular basis to get pedicures and no-chip manicures. It has totally gone down hill. I saw Olga for my no-chips and she is great-highly recommend her. I never booked online because I wanted to call and specifically ask for Olga. Once or twice I was put with another technician and didn't feel like bothering to complain because at the end of day, I just wanted my nails done and they were done okay by other people. The last straw was when I was placed with a technician brand new to no-chips for my wedding nails. After I had called and specifically asked for Olga, per usual. I was already cutting it close to my hair appointment because the woman had taken so long with the pedicure and here she is making mistakes, re-doing nails, and going super slow. After she was done, I got up and she asked to take another look at my fingers and asked if I wanted if I wanted her to redo another couple. Ugh!!! I was so quietly frustrated and needing to go to my next appointment so I politely said no thanks, paid, and got out of there. I called the salon from the car to complain and request a free service for next time. The front desk girl was extremely rude and told me that the technician is slow because she is very precise. Even though she "put me on hold" (put the phone down so I could overhear her entire conversation and I had to hang up and call again because she forgot about me) and I heard her talking to said technician about how her time is speeding up a bit, but that she will still schedule appointments for longer increments due to her slowness as a result of being new. I had another appointment to get to-you can't advertise an service being a certain length and knowingly schedule people for longer times. Basically, the girl said because I left there is nothing she could do. She told me her manager would call me to see if there is anything she could offer me and I received no call. She also said I could come back so the technician could "try again." Even if I had the time, that's the last thing I would want to do! Olga was the only reason I came back to this place, but now I'm just a little sour from multiple occasions of not being placed with who I wanted and being treated so rudely. So I then call the establishment the old fashioned way to book an appointment. I specifically asked the girl that I spoke on the phone with if they offered chrome/metallic & matte no-chip finishes & she said that they did. So great, she asked for my credit card to book the appointment & then I jumped in an uber & headed over. I got there early & the girl asked me to pick my color & I overheard her ask the question about time to the other girl at the counter & she said, "I dunno, let's see what colors she picks." ...I saw no metallic options. As I waited for the nail technician to free up I decided to verify with the girl if they offer metallic finishes & she said no. I let her know that someone over the phone said that they did offer them & that that was one of the only reasons why I came here. I asked her if they would charge me for canceling bc I was misinformed, she told me no...let's hope that's the truth. Overall I had a good experience and I will definitely be back for Brandon to do my gel manicure. The organic pedicure felt natural which was great and Anna did a nice job with me. It was very nice getting a glass wine and relaxing while I got everything done. There is also a good color selection. The only issue was that after an hour I was told that my pedicure was dry enough to leave and I put my shoes on but when I got home my big toes were ruined. I would've waited longer if I wasn't told that I was fine, so after $80 and 2.5 hours I have to go back and fix it or go buy the same color and fix it myself. So that is frustrating. Also, the cash issue with tips is weird. I want to put the tip on my card. The wait want bad and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I continued to get attitude when I checked out and asked if I had to repay and she said "no, you complained enough- it's free." How is it my fault that they chipped within 2 days? Came a third time. I'm lucky enough to live right around the corner from Revive and I've been going here for 2 years. My nails always look amazing! Even the regular manicures last 2 weeks without hardly any chipping. And when I get no chips - I can go almost a month!!! 3 weeks EASY. They also do dipping powder which not many places do yet - that literally lasts an eternity haha. Recently I've been sticking with Kevin - he is soooo kind, easy to talk to, accommodating, and patient! Not to mention he does a GREAT job! He did my nails for my wedding and my honeymoon and I received so many compliments. He also gives the best pedicures - my feet always feel amazing after he is done! I would recommend Kevin to anyone!! He always checks in throughout to make sure you're ok with how things are looking so far and he never gets annoyed when you ask him to tweak something. I won't go to anyone else as long as he is there. :) Not to discount the other people though! Before I found Kevin, I bounced around among various technicians and overall was satisfied and most were pretty nice. My biggest issue with this place is that even with their steep prices (they are a bit more expensive than other places... which I'm ok with because the location couldn't be more convenient for me and because I know they always do a great job), they feel the need to charge RETURNING CUSTOMERS for removal services. I'm sorry, but if I paid good money to get a no chip at a salon 2 weeks ago and come back for another service, they should remove the previous no chip at no cost! I find it RIDICULOUS to charge me to take off the previous no chip so I can get another! Luckily I know how to remove my own no chip - which isn't a fun process but I always do it myself or end up just peeling it off to avoid paying the removal fee out of principle. I used to get acrylics and no chips at other salons - NEVER did any of them charge for removal if you were coming in for another service. Also, the customer service from the front desk ladies is not the best... but regardless the technicians are awesome. You definitely need to make an appointment. They say walk ins welcome but they're usually fully "booked" (which sometimes I don't get because they'll tell me they're fully booked until 7, then I come in at 7 and the place is empty....) and I have never had luck just walking in. Regardless, they do a great job, my nails always last a long time and good great. I would recommend this salon! Just be prepared to pay a little more than most other places and always make an appointment beforehand. And go to Kevin! :) he is so sweet. *One other thing worth mentioning is that the appointments almost never start on time (I think on average they start like 15-20 minutes after I arrive) and often they run over. Fact or Fiction: you're actually going to have a manager reach out?? So, lots to say here. I used to be a patron back in the day and will preface with the fact that we were a last minute double pedicure appointment and they squeezed us in short notice for which is super nice. However, the appointment was at 7:15 and and I didn't get to my chair until 8:15pm. It's a holiday so I expected them to be a bit slammed. My gripe here is: don't force your employees to take on more business and work late at the sacrifice of both quality and customer satisfaction. Moving on to the pedicure... the person who did my toes was super sweet. However, they would intermittently disappear in the middle of doing something. Examples: they were letting my no chip soak and then left for so long my toes started to sting and someone else had to help me cause I had no one to ask or when I had one foot scrubbed and then the other foot all lotioned up and just hanging out for 10 minutes waiting to be scrubbed while they went in the back. Then I was asked how short I wanted my toes and I said shorter but I like them to still look long which I think went in one ear and out the other because they are pretty damn short. It also seemed like they were struggling with the polish but I'm pretty sure it was due to the fact that their hair kept hitting the wet polish while painting because they didn't have proper eye wear and couldn't see. All might have been slightly alleviated by the massage chair but that was broken and would only massage my hips which eventually started to get sore and I couldn't ask my nail tech for help cause they weren't there. I ended up staying 30 minutes past close while they tried to perfect everything (respectable) but when I asked to skip the massage for the sake of time, they told me it wasn't a big deal and kept going. Honestly, I really just wanted to leave. I was the last customer and they were the last nail tech and it was a ghost town other than the woman at the front. It was awkward and quiet and uncomfortable. Overall, management should never have tried to squeeze us in. I would be much happier if they'd turned us down and we came in a different day with an advance appointment. I feel like my nail tech was under pressure but also could maybe use a bit more training? Could have just been a Murphy's law day for the nail tech so they're not totally to blame but I did not enjoy myself and management took no notice. Either way, I will not be a returning customer. There are many ways in which "you" could help rectify and nothing which you have opted into so I'm not really sure how this solves your poor customer service but exacerbates it. Just had an infuriating experience with a place that I have been frequenting for over a year now at least a couple times a month. They clearly do not know how to run a business and it's a shame because they have some great nail technicians that I really like. I had an appointment that I booked on like at 5:30pm. When I arrived, my appointment was not on the books. I showed them my email confirmation and she said that they had been having problems with their system and she would be unable to honor my appointment. The woman at the counter was very nice, however she was not able to do anything. She tried to rebook me for the following day, but was not able to book me at a time that I was available and that she could give me 15% off my next service. I told her that I didn't think that was adequate, especially considering that I am a loyal customer. She took my number and said that she would have the manager call me. Dana the manager called me a couple of hours later and apologized and again started that there were ongoing issues with the scheduling system. I asked if they had been having issues, why didn't they send out a blast email letting customers know so that they could confirm by phone. She said they were working in sending something. She offered to squeeze me in the next day at 4:15 with a 15% discount ($5.25 off). I said that considering how much business I had given them, including referring friends, I found that insulting. She said that she wasn't able to give me more without talking to someone. I asked her if she was indeed a manager and she said yes but she has to consult with another manager. Now, I remind you that this is a $35 service. She said that she would cal the other manager and call me back. Dana called back a few minutes later and offered 30% of. I reminded her then if their cancellation policy which is that no shows or cancellations within 2 hours of the appointment would be charged 50% of the service, and that I would expect that as the customer, I would expect at least that amount. I asked her if she thought that it was fair that they don't follow their own policy? She didn't have answer and said 30% was the best she could do. Normally I wouldn't squabble over a few dollars, but it was the principal considering my loyalty as a customer, as well as their own cancelation policy. So I said that that was fine but she could cancel my appointment and I would not be returning. She said sorry and that was it. I am just shocked at how poorly people can run a business. She lost A LOT of business over a few dollars and that is just nuts to me. Anyway, I won't return and I would recommend you don't either because customer loyalty means nothing to them. read more

The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because I didn't find the receptionist to be particularly warm or welcoming during check-in and check-out, however my pedicure experience was 5-stars from start to finish! This was my first visit to Revive and I booked the Renewal Pedicure online. Reggie was very friendly, introduced himself and got to work! I jokingly asked "This is going to be the best pedicure ever, right?" He said yes, but little did I know that he would not only meet but exceed my expectations. I can honestly say that Reggie gave me the best pedicure I have ever had! He did an excellent job of filing and shaping; and the exfoliating scrub and massage was incredible! I was nervous that the Essie polish I picked out was too thin (Essie's formula tends to be a bit runny, compared to OPI), but Reggie knew exactly how to apply the polish for a beautiful finish. It turned out perfectly! Revive is not the closest nail salon to my house, but because of Reggie I am totally hooked and will absolutely be making the drive back to Revive! The actual finished product - no chip mani and pedi was good, but the experience left a lot to be desired. The place itself is extremely empty, no decor. There is a tv with no sound - and they don't play any music or anything. While I'd imagine everything was clean, my nail tech brought equipment out, already open, in a bucket. These days I expect to see opening sanitized packages or some confirmation equipment is new and clean. My massage chair didn't work. I paid $8 extra for a sugar scrub that she spent about 15 seconds rubbing in. The foot/leg massage was extremely short. The nail tech was definitely good at her job - but paying $100 for a no chip mani and pedi I expect a bit more than just a good paint job. read more

They were speak in Russian and didn't know that i speak Russian! The whole time they were criticizing their clients. Can't believe how unprofessional this place is. Would never go back. Vanessa is the real hero here. She cares about providing you solid service and is willing to accommodate your weirdness when it comes to nail and feet care. I have a huge ticklish feet problem, and coupled with intense callouses, it's impossible for me to get a good pedicure because usually the technician just gives up on me. Not Vanessa. She did not give up on me. She laughed along as I broke out in spontaneous chuckles while she scrubbed my feet and worked endless to scrub down my stubborn callouses, without pulling out a skin razor. Pumice stone only. I would NEVER get waxing services here after today. I came in for eyebrow and underarm waxing for the first time. Before we began, I started describing how I'd like my eyebrows done since I am paying for eyebrow shaping and not just the cheaper service. Before I could even finish talking, I was interrupted by the lady claiming that she knows (which I am unsure how since that is literally the first time I stepped foot into that establishment). It ended up not being satisfactory, i.e. I could have just gone for the cheaper version... For my underarms, there were a few things that were really off. She did not use enough wax and tried to spread them but as a result I had patches of wax. After removing SOME hair, she used tweezers to remove the remaining hair which is fine, except that she was breaking the hair and left the roots. I definitely expect that some hair will need to be removed by tweezers but with the amount of tweezing, I think it was because wax wasn't applied enough or correctly. I did ask for her to stop and tried to explain the difference between breaking hair and removing roots but she wasn't open to listening. Upon checking out, I voiced my concerns to the front desk and also mentioned that the lady reused the same stick over and over. I was told that it is common if it's not a Brazilian wax as long as an antibacterial powder was applied. I only had that applied on ONE of my underarm... When I mentioned that, the lady reassured me saying that I won't catch anything like herpes cause of the powder.... but AGAIN, the powder was only applied to ONE of my underarm so I am not sure if she listened to my concerns. The end result was not satisfactory either as I ended up having to clean up after I got home. However, I had a great experience getting my nails done at this place. Thirza did an amazing job and she is super detailed! I would give this place one star if it wasn't for the good service I received for nails.... was unhappy with the actual waxing job, how my preferences (shape of eyebrow) was dismissed, and my concerns were ignored. read more
